You should have experience of media liaison and securing press coverage, as well as familiarity with all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, BlueSky, Instagram and LinkedIn), and ideally a foundational knowledge of the associated reporting and analytics for them.

As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we are looking for talented people who can help us make the next forty count for even more. As part of this, we are recruiting a Senior Digital Officer to maximise NEF’s impact by embedding a digital-first approach. They will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality and engaging digital communications that influences public opinion and policymaking. The role sits in NEF’s communications team, which works to ensure that our stories and activities are communicated effectively to a wide variety of audiences to help shift the dial.
This will be a fantastic opportunity to lead on developing and driving a new digital strategy for NEF. It will offer the chance to push the boundaries of traditional channels to reach new audiences, improve engagement with NEF’s growing network of supporters, and expand our visibility and impact.
You will need proven experience of developing and leading impactful digital communications strategies or campaigns. You will be a strong writer with exceptional digital skills and a flair for communicating creatively. You’ll need to work well under pressure, juggling multiple deadlines and the competing demands of a busy communications team. You’ll have experience of two or more of the following: campaign communications[HP1] , social media, design, or video/audio production, and be keen to expand your skills further.
Previous think tank experience is not required and we welcome applicants from a range of sectors.

Location: Hybrid. Job Outline:
The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for leading our community fundraising programme, by generating income through the fundraising activities of individuals and community groups. The Fundraising Officer will build strong, supportive relationships with fundraisers, delivering excellent stewardship to inspire long-term engagement and maximise income, including through celebratory giving and annual campaigns. The role will also involve engaging with the local community and supporting some challenge event fundraising.

• Lead and develop our community fundraising programme, providing excellent, tailored stewardship to community fundraisers, developing meaningful and long-lasting relationships, always maximising income potential.
• Lead on our annual community fundraising campaigns.
• Oversee and grow celebratory fundraising income ensuring supporters are inspired and well supported.
• Manage and develop relationships with schools and other community groups, providing resources and support to maximise their fundraising success.
• Engage proactively with the local community to raise awareness of the charity and increase participation in fundraising activities.
• Support ad hoc challenge event fundraising, ensuring a high-quality experience for participants and strong income generation.
• Achieve income targets in line with the organisation’s financial requirements.
• To maintain and manage community fundraising participant data on the charity’s database.
• To develop fundraising materials and content for community fundraising communications via
letter, email, magazine, website and social media.
• To share information and updates on community fundraising within the organisation to ensure
all staff are aware of activities.
• To represent Cardiomyopathy UK at events as required, including out of office hours.
