As Healthcare Professional Education & Engagement Lead at Crohn's & Colitis UK, you will be integral in the development of healthcare professional online education and engagement networks in both primary and secondary care. You will also work on a variety of other healthcare professional projects. This is a role that is both fulfilling and challenging and requires travel to healthcare professional conferences. You will be supporting the Health Services Manager and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, all with a view to improving the quality and the standards of health services for all people affected by Crohn's and Colitis.

Our location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. But one thing we have learned from the pandemic, is that we are able to work very effectively from home. In this role, there is plenty of scope for doing that, although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings and the charity meets four times a year in the office at our mandatory 'All Staff Together' days. About you
We are looking for someone to join the charity’s Senior Leadership Team who will bring experience from their past successes and provide inspirational strategic leadership and direction to the fundraising and communications functions in support of the Dementia Adventure business plan, charitable mission and objectives. The successful applicant will have a strong, successful track record of fundraising and/or other forms of income generation in the charity sector, including management, with proven experience in meeting financial and non-financial targets. About the role
The Campaign & Programme Lead: Climate & Health supports health workers to campaign for just and proportionate action on climate change, working closely with our Movement Organiser and other colleagues. Currently our work focuses on the intersection of climate and housing, working to end the public health crisis of fuel poverty and poor-quality homes. In particular this role is responsible for national advocacy and campaigning on fuel poverty and housing, supporting members to organise in their local communities, and being a key part in the Homes for Health campaign team.
The role involves holding Medact’s key knowledge base on climate and health issues. You will build relationships across the health community and wider climate movement, from establishment institutions to frontline workers and grassroots groups.
About you
This is a skilled role but you don’t need to have had a job in an NGO before or be a professional campaigner to be right for it. You might have worked with your local community to campaign on a social justice or health issue that you care about. Or, you might be a health worker who has seen the impact of these issues on your patients and wants to challenge the systems that drive inequity and marginalisation.
You’ll have a strong understanding of power and how to work with others to create pressure for change. You need to be a great communicator, able to build trusting relationships with Medact members, academics, partner organisations and community groups. You’ll have an understanding of how digital communications compliment campaigning and an eye for a good media story.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a Project Active Assistant to support the delivery of Project Active; Students’ Union UCL’s programme designed to engage inactive students in sport and physical activity. Working with the Project Active Coordinator, you will deliver beginner-friendly, accessible and inclusive sport and physical activity events throughout the year including women’s-only provision, pay and play sessions and several mass participation events. You will be an enthusiastic ambassador for Project Active, supporting on the ground delivery and providing a friendly point of contact for students. This is a hands-on role where you will regularly be required to work on site and out at events throughout the year.

The Role
You will lead the Individual Giving and Supporter Engagement strategy, delivering the growth needed to make two new hospitals – Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital and Cambridge Children’s Hospital – a reality.
You will:
- Lead a team of fundraisers to deliver inspiring appeals and innovative fundraising propositions.
- Drive net income and supporter growth across all Individual Giving streams including regular giving, digital, appeals, and lottery.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, ensuring activities are insight-led and maximise return on investment.
- Develop first-class donor journeys and stewardship experiences to foster supporter loyalty.
- Play a pivotal role in engaging Addenbrooke’s patients and staff to build a sustainable mass participation fundraising model.
