About the role

Kinship Minds is a transformative programme that enhances the support we provide to kinship carers in England and Wales. Our goal is to build kinship carers' confidence and equip them with the knowledge and skills to support children in their care - especially in recognising and responding to early signs of mental health issues. 

We are at the beginning of our journey to embed therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches across all areas of service delivery. This includes 1-to-1 support, digital resources and training, and peer support networks. 

The Strategic Trauma-Informed Practice Manager will lead this transition, helping us move from a trauma-sensitive organisation on a journey that becomes trauma-aware, trauma-informed, and ultimately trauma-responsive.

This strategic and hands-on role will help Kinship strengthen its therapeutic offer and build the confidence and capacity of staff and kinship carers to understand trauma and the impact it has, and provide strategies to support. We are particularly interested in experience in developing trauma-informed parenting training and resources.

The postholder will play a key role in developing and manualising our trauma-informed approach across core services: Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, our Advice Service, and Peer Support Service. They will work with subject matter experts to develop trauma-informed approaches, toolkits and resources into everyday service delivery – based on the needs of kinship carers and their families.

You will need to be able to step into this role quickly, bringing your experience of building and developing trauma-informed approaches in complex services. You will have strong leadership capabilities, able to work at pace autonomously with creativity and dynamism.  You will need to have excellent attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and leading Kinship’s trauma-informed strategy, ensuring the implementation of trauma-informed principles across all service delivery (for example, using Dr Karen Treisman’s approach). 
• Leading the development and manualisation of trauma-informed practice across Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, the Advice Service, and the Peer Support Service. This includes resources, approach and content.
• Supporting organisational development to embed trauma-informed values in practice, culture, policy, and leadership, working with our Head of People and Culture.
• Developing reflective practice approach to support managers to staff and volunteer resilience particularly across services. This could include a ‘train the trainer’ approach.
• Auditing current practices and recommend systems and processes to support trauma-informed service delivery.
• Developing and delivering capacity-building approaches and resources for kinship carers to help them identify and respond to trauma and mental health needs in children. 
• Working collaboratively with subject matter experts to develop self-guided training, toolkits, and multimedia resources.
• Providing and leading expert input into the trauma-informed design and delivery of Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, Advice Service and other 1-to-1 support programmes.
• Guiding frontline delivery staff to adopt trauma-informed practice, including the use of strengths-based approaches and flexible, family-led planning.
• Representing Kinship at external events and meetings to raise awareness of the services and to influence other organisations, policy and practice.

Essential knowledge, abilities, skills and experience includes:

• A qualified trauma-informed practitioner with significant experience in delivering or developing trauma-informed services.  
• Experience working with kinship carers or in adoption and fostering sector.   
• Proven experience applying the principles of trauma-informed care across organisations, preferably in children and family services. 
• Experience in designing and delivering training and coaching for professionals and/or families on trauma and therapeutic approaches.  
• Excellent understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures focusing on contributing to a culture which values transparency, reflective practice and continuous learning.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Emerging Gen Lead, you will drive World Vision UK’s mission to inspire and mobilise the next generation of Christians towards justice, generosity, and global mission. Reporting to the Director of Ministry Development, you will lead our engagement with youth, student, and young adult audiences (ages 13–25), creating bold, innovative pathways for them to connect their faith with action for the world’s most vulnerable children.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery. You will design and implement initiatives that position World Vision as the charity of choice for young Christians passionate about making a difference.

The organisation is now seeking an outstanding Editor in Chief to provide scientific, editorial, and publishing leadership across its global evidence production and publishing activities. The Editor in Chief will be responsible for setting the scientific and editorial vision, strengthening the organisation’s position as the global benchmark for trustworthy evidence. The Editor in Chief will also serve as one of the organisation’s key scientific ambassadors, engaging with funders, policymakers, and international partners such as the World Health Organization, the Wellcome Trust, and other leaders in the global evidence ecosystem.

About the opportunity

As Head of Legal, Risk and Assurance, you'll lead three critical disciplines that form the backbone of trust, safety, and risk-informed decision-making at Alzheimer's Society. This is a people-focused leadership role within our Finance & Assurance directorate, overseeing professional teams delivering legal, risk management, and assurance services. You'll bring these areas together as one team, joining the dots to create real impact through compassionate, strategic leadership.

We're in the midst of an ambitious transformation programme, and you'll play a central role in ensuring this change is embedded effectively. Working in close partnership with management and trustees, you'll be a senior, credible, and visible voice. Influencing decisions, elevating standards, and building a culture where risk awareness and legal clarity empower rather than constrain our work.

This role brings together three disciplines, each led by experienced subject matter experts who will report into you. We're not expecting you to be an expert in all three areas. The King’s Trust is looking for a passionate and highly skilled Communications Manager to join our talented Communications team as we prepare to celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2026.

In this fixed-term role, you will play a key part in delivering The Trust’s external communications activity during our anniversary year. By helping The Trust to maximise this milestone moment, the work you do will help to boost our public profile, reach new supporters, and thank our communities meaningfully – ultimately increasing engagement with and support for our work.

You will lead communications projects for our anniversary by developing bespoke activations and messaging, always ensuring the stories of Trust-supported young people are at the heart of everything we do.

You will empower young people who have been through our programmes to tell their stories across a range of different media and digital channels. As part of this, you will support the Senior Communications Manager in working with our Young Ambassadors, who are young people who volunteer to share their experiences of being supported by The Trust with our audiences.

In this unique role within the Communications team, you will be instrumental in shining a light on how we support young people to change their lives for the better, ultimately engaging more people in The Trust’s work during our 50th year and increasing support for young people.

Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research, and the best advice and support.

To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Our research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to beat macular disease forever.

We are seeking someone who can support our Community Engagement team to ensure groups and group volunteers have the resources they need to thrive. The candidate needs to have an open and collaborative approach and the ability to multitask and prioritise multiple projects and work streams.

Working within the Development and Outreach Department, (responsible for fundraising, marketing and communications) the Partnerships Team crafts and steward collaborations with companies and brands, in the UK and globally, to generate significant income, raise awareness of WDC brand and work and advocate for positive action.

The Partnerships manager:

- is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy, alongside the corporate engagement lead, to deliver an agreed annual income target, across charitable and trading activities and facilitate valuable in-kind support for WDC.

- is required to expertly research, develop, manage, and enhance relationships with new and existing partners across a diverse range of sectors.

- will be an adept communicator, capable of thinking on their feet, delivering inspiring pitches with authority and securing buy in from colleagues across WDC, and external stakeholders.

- will lead a varied and exciting area of fundraising, covering a diverse range of activities and opportunities which involves balancing the needs of WDC colleagues with external partners.
