About the role

We’re looking for a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis with FP&A experience to join our Finance Team as maternity cover for up to 12 months.

You will be a key member of the finance team, engaging with key stakeholders across the organisation and responsible for the delivery of accurate, consistent reporting and forecasts of financial performance; leading the production of monthly management accounts; the analysis of financial performance; the budgeting and forecasting cycle and the long term planning for the charity.

This is an exciting period of change in the finance team with the implementation of a new finance system in October (Microsoft’s Business Central). This role will be key in leading that post implementation period to ensure the benefits are felt within the Finance team and the organisation more widely.

The role holder will ensure that the new finance system is utilised to drive significant improvements in reporting and forecasting, including tighter reporting and forecasting timeframes, improvements in management reports and information, enhanced models for use in financial planning.

The role holder is accountable for the development and delivery of team plans, the management of the Finance Business Partners and the Management Accountant.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Manage the processes for setting the charity’s financial plans, including agreeing the timetables and deliverables for presentation to the Executive Team and Finance Committee.
• Manage the month end process taking ownership for the timely delivery of clear, accurate monthly management accounts and monthly Finance report.
• Leading on successfully embedding the new finance system with the Finance team (& the wider organisation) to realise improvements in management reporting and financial planning.
• Understand variances in monthly financial performance and enable the explanation of these clearly and concisely to the Director of Corporate Services, Executive Team and Trustees.
• Develop insights and make proactive proposals to budget holders on financial opportunities for efficiency or improving value for money.
• Build strong relationships with the Executive Team, Associate Directors and Heads of and be regarded as trusted source of financial support and guidance and leveraging these relationships to ensure Finance received the support it needs to meet its objectives.
• Manage the two Finance Business Partners and Income Management Accountant providing them with the appropriate support and guidance to ensure they meet their objectives and development needs.

The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:

• Qualified Accountant (CCAB or equivalent) with strong demonstrable experience working in a senior finance position with experience in FP&A.
• Experience of management and delivery of budgets and forecasts, as well as for the management and delivery of monthly results and reporting.
• Identifying, driving and managing change within a Finance function resulting in a more effective Finance function.
• Excellent management and leadership skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise delivery of conflicting priorities and to effectively manage stakeholder expectations around deadlines.
• Understanding of charity VAT and corporation tax is desirable.
• Experience of using Microsoft’s Business Central/ Dynamics is also desirable.

Connexional Worship Renewal Team Leader

London-Hybrid

Hybrid Working: Connexional Team staff based at Methodist Church House have a hybrid work pattern which is currently 2-3 days in the office.

About you

Thus, we are looking for someone who is a gifted ‘crafter of worship’ and preacher, with deep sensitivity for Methodist worship in its varied traditions, passion for excellence in Methodist worship and creative strategic thinker. You will care deeply about the communities of people who lead Methodist worship, working alongside them to enable all to lead worship which contributes to flourishing Methodist churches. 

It is essential, therefore, that you are a presbyter, deacon or local preacher in The Methodist Church, have a deep understanding of Methodist – and wider – theology with an understanding of how to translate these for contemporary society. You will have an excellent understanding of current training structures for worship within The Methodist Church, alongside experience of leading and managing change in a complex organisation.

The team

The Ministries and Learning Team in which this role sits, is friendly, supportive, vibrant and passionate. Within this team, you will be line-managed by The Director of Ministry Development. The Team exists to equip the Methodist Church by training, developing and supporting those called by God to serve in lay and ordained ministry embedding the strategies which support the Church’s aspiration to be inclusive, justice seeking, evangelistic and growing.

The postholder will manage a small team and work widely with other teams, such as Evangelism and Growth, and across the wider Connexion.

This role will involve working closely with senior finance colleagues and auditors to ensure a smooth and accurate year-end process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Finance Manager and Assistant Director of Finance to prepare statutory accounts from draft to final signed accounts
• Review draft accounts, including cash flow statements, control account reconciliations, and supporting working papers

• Proven experience preparing statutory accounts and managing audit processes for large organisations

Your New Role

Concerts & Projects Manager

Position Summary

The Concerts & Projects Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of several key areas of the orchestra’s core performance activity (including but not limited to: concerts in London and around the UK, commercial recording projects, the orchestra’s Garsington Opera residency and others).

Working in a fast-paced environment as part of a friendly, fun and creative team, the role of Concerts & Projects Manager provides a unique opportunity to work with leading musicians and conductors. Excellent organisational and budgeting skills, attention to detail, innovative thinking and a flexible approach to working will help you manage, develop and execute a diverse range of projects to the highest standard.

With oversight from the Senior Concerts Manager and Concerts Director, the post-holder will work closely with the Concerts Coordinators, Concerts Assistant and the Orchestra Operations Team in the delivery of outstanding performances in venues as varied as car parks, concert halls and country houses.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating of the London Season at the Royal Festival Hall.

• Planning and co-ordination of the Orchestra’s residencies in the main season: Basingstoke, Bedford, Canterbury & Leicester and in the summer season: Garsington Opera and Three Choirs Festival.

• Planning and co-ordination of the Orchestra’s UK engagements.

• Preparing concert/project budgets, managing and maintaining set budgets and final reconciliations/invoicing.

• Liaising with the Orchestra’s Head of Production and Stage Managers regarding practical arrangements for all concerts and projects, including but not limited to stage plans, arranging stage extensions where required, truck requirements etc.

• Liaising closely with the Orchestra Librarians on orchestrations and editions for repertoire being performed or recorded.

• Supervising the Concerts Coordinators and Assistant in the practical delivery of contracts, PPE letters, tech riders, dressing room and security lists, rehearsal venue bookings, detailed schedule preparation etc.

• Keeping abreast of all relevant agreements and updates from the Association of British Orchestras and Musicians’ Union.

• Liaising with the Orchestra Committee and Artistic Committee regarding player matters as directed by Senior Concerts Manager/Concerts Director

• Attending concerts & projects in London and around the UK. Representing the Philharmonia with utmost professionalism at all times.

• Undertaking such other duties as may reasonably be required by the Company.

• Upholding and demonstrating the Orchestra's values.

Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a fundraiser to lead, manage and deliver the fundraising strategy and activities of SBS. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all the fundraising activities of SBS, including management of the fundraising team.
• Develop and maintain a fundraising strategy in line with the overall strategy for SBS, this includes taking a lead in the forecasting and setting of fundraising targets.
• Take a lead in the recruitment and retainment of individual donors by developing and managing appropriate activities to expand the SBS donor base, exploring and implementing various methods to achieve this.
• Supervise the recruitment and retainment of support from churches and communities (including Action Groups) by developing relationships with them and ensuring they are equipped and encouraged to fundraise.
• Develop a major donor fundraising programme and manage long-term relationships.
• Help identify opportunities and support applications to charitable trusts, grant making bodies and companies, and assist in managing subsequent relationships with funding partners.
• Develop and manage a programme focused on legacy giving across all supporter types.
• Research, test and develop fundraising ideas and opportunities for income generation across all supporter types and all channels of communication.  Report on test results with a view to constantly evolving SBS tactics to meet objectives.
• Provide regular reporting on all fundraising activities, for Senior Staff and Board.  Provide up to date income levels by source, any associated expenditure and what the overall ROI is for SBS.  Be able to provide this as verbal updates and electronically - making comparisons against projections, historical performance and industry averages.
• Keep up to date and ensure SBS complies with fundraising legislation, standards and best practice including GDPR and PECR.
• Support SBS with detailed knowledge of the United Bible Societies (UBS) fellowship projects SBS support and provide a steer on what opportunities there are that would fit with the overall strategy for SBS.
• Set objectives for the Fundraising team in line with the fundraising strategy and overall strategy for SBS.
• Motivate and support staff in setting their personal objectives and managing their performance by providing encouragement, feedback and having regular 1-2-1s with them so they achieve their objectives and that of the team, department and overall SBS objectives.
• Fulfill line management responsibilities in line with policies and procedures for line managers at SBS (e.g. appraisals, holiday requests, absence monitoring, recruitment).

About you

• SBS believes that spiritual maturity, character and behaviour are just as important as fundraising competence, therefore you will be a devoted follower of Jesus with a passion for the Bible. You will be active in a local church that supports your vocation and provides spiritual support.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in a senior fundraising or development position.
• Proven track record of leading fundraising strategy and campaigns for a charitable organisation, or a background in campaign management driving sales for a commercial organisation.
• Confidence in testing and optimising campaign activity and strategies through a robust, analytical methodology.
• Experience working for charitable organisations, or in international development or similar areas, interacting with a board of directors and with an understanding of charity reporting.
• Excellent planning and organisation skills, with the ability to manage projects and organise your own workload and that of direct line reports.
• Strong leadership and people management skills balanced with a willingness to listen and learn from others.  A genuine interest in developing people.
• A natural preference for collaboration and teamwork, able to interact and manage a wide range of stakeholders at different levels of seniority, sometimes in a cross-cultural context, to deliver the best possible outcome for the charity.
• Excellent working knowledge of GDPR, advertising standards, fundraising standards, and other industry governance.

Operation Smile UK’s Partnerships Team works to maximise high-potential income channels such as corporate partnerships, major donors and trusts and foundations. The Partnerships and Philanthropy Officer will play a key role in the team securing critical income from global and national corporate partners and from our network of committed community fundraisers.

We are looking for a candidate who thrives on building relationships – with partners and with colleagues in the UK and around the world. You will be a brilliant communicator, someone who can juggle multiple priorities and inspire people to believe in our story. Ideally, you will have at least a year’s experience in a relationship management role (in a commercial or fundraising setting), and a particular interest in international development. In return, you will be part of an ambitious and high-performing team, working with national and global corporate partners, gaining international programme exposure and being given the opportunity to take responsibility from the outset. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Fundraising

· Take the lead on managing a portfolio of small and medium corporate partners - taking responsibility for all aspects of these partnerships, including communication, staff activities, events, reporting, income collection and acknowledgements

· Provide support to the Senior P&P Manager in activities relating to OSUK’s global corporate partners through managing employee-led activities across the portfolio.

· To manage and develop new initiatives for employee engagement and community participants

· Support on new business acquisition, specifically in creating new avenues for income generation through existing partnerships.

· Responsible for managing inbound enquiries relating to corporate partnerships

· Lead on producing corporate-related social media and communications content

· Maintain orderly upkeep of all relevant records and databases

Community Fundraising

· Lead on the handling of all inbound community fundraising correspondence, including donations received, merchandise and speaking requests

· Develop a strong understanding of fundraising platforms such as Just Giving and Enthuse, maintaining their upkeep and reconciliation with Operation Smile's financial and reporting systems

Additional Responsibilities

· Expand your understanding of Operation Smile’s programmatic work globally, of cleft lip and palate conditions, health system strengthening and the global surgery sector

· Support other areas of the Partnership Team’s work, including events.

JOB PURPOSE

The MEAL Manager will provide strategic direction, quality assurance, and innovation for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning across the organisation’s care reform portfolio. Building on the existing MEAL framework, the role will provide advanced technical leadership, collaborate to enhance organisational learning, and ensure evidence based decision-making at all levels.

The MEAL Manager will drive the development and socialisation of the Results Frameworks, indicators, and data collection tools; oversee data quality, analysis, and reporting; and guide the integration of MEAL into programme design, donor proposals, Theories of Change, and logframes. Working closely with the Head of MEAL, Senior Learning & Research Manager, Country Directors, and advocacy leads, the post holder will influence programme design, donor engagement, and the MEAL strategy.

KEY OBJECTIVES

• Oversee the development, refinement, and implementation of the Programmes and Advocacy Results Framework, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and global best practice.
• Lead high-level analysis, synthesis, and communication of programme results for executive leadership, Board of Trustees, and key donors.
• Drive the digital transformation of MEAL systems, including the appropriate Artificial Intelligence tools ensuring interoperability, efficiency, and accessibility of data across programmes.
• Establish and implement MEAL quality standards, protocols, and SOPs across all country programmes, joint programmes with partner organisations, and advocacy initiatives.
• Collaborate on the design and implementation of internal and external evaluations, ensuring they meet rigorous methodological standards.
• Act as primary technical advisor to senior programme leadership on adaptive management, data-driven decision-making, and strategic learning priorities.
• Represent the organisation in high-level MEAL-related forums, donor meetings, and sector learning networks.
• Strengthen partner and country programme MEAL capacity through targeted technical assistance, advanced training, and mentoring.
• Lead the development of MEAL strategies and frameworks for major funding proposals and multi-country initiatives.

As the Fundraising and Alumni Assistant, you will be at the heart of building and nurturing a strong, connected Bancroft’s community - especially among alumni, donors and friends of the school as well as contributing directly to the School’s mission of changing lives through education and opportunity.

The Fundraising and Development Department at Bancroft's School comprises the Director of Fundraising and Development, Data and Development Officer and Fundraising and Alumni Assistant. They oversee the Bancroft's Foundation, alumni and community engagement, donor relations, and fundraising initiatives including events; playing a key role in advancing the School’s philanthropic and community goals.

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Development, you will play a key role in planning and delivering events, managing and disseminating communications and supporting fundraising efforts. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, getting involved in details and making things happen.

The purpose of this role is to strengthen relationships across the Bancroft’s community - especially alumni and potential donors - through engaging events, thoughtful communications, and proactive logistical support. This role blends relationship-building with practical execution and requires someone who is both people-focused and detail-oriented.

The post is full-time, 52 weeks per year. The working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch. The role will be office-based during term time, with flexibility for occasional remote work during the 18 weeks of the school holidays. Four days a week will be considered. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required for events.

Holidays for a full-time member of staff are 27 days per year, as well as 8 Bank Holidays, to be taken during the school holidays, unless otherwise agreed by the Director of Fundraising and Development.

The salary range for the full-time role is £32,000 - £34,000, based upon experience.
