We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Major Donor Manager to join our team. You will hold responsibility for creating a major donor portfolio for TLC, securing support from High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and Philanthropists.

This is TLC’s first Major Donor role. Over the past few years our organisation’s size and reach has grown considerably. We have experienced much success in winning new contracts and generating income from grants and Trusts – however, large and unrestricted donations remain an untapped potential resource for TLC. As the need for our services grows, so does the need for funding.

We're looking for a highly organised, independent and practical individual to join our small team as General Manager. You’ll oversee our core operations, provide support across our innovative programme, and help us to develop longer-term sustainability.

The General Manager will keep core operations running smoothly – across HR, finance and communications – as well as developing the company’s systems and policies to adapt to current and future needs. Responsibilities:

HR & Operations

● Manage Coney’s operations, resources and materials to ensure our activities and processes are high-quality, fit for purpose and well-managed.

● Support the Directors to engender positive staff relations and good communication throughout the company, those representing it and its networks.

● Oversee Coney’s remote-working and office systems, including IT systems, schedules and other resources, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and cost-effective.

● Manage Coney’s statutory obligations with Companies House, the Charities Commission and other bodies and regulatory authorities, with support from the Directors.

● Maintain regular communication with Coney’s Trustees, ensuring that Board meetings, minutes, reports and information are prepared effectively and on time. 

Financial

● Manage Coney’s day-to-day financial systems, including making bank payments and managing invoices receivable, supported by the Marketing & Admin Officer.

● Reconcile Coney’s bank accounts and input all financial activity into Quickbooks (including income & expenditure, credit cards, expenses, invoices payable, payments received) against the correct budget lines. 

● Run payroll (including sending payslips and other pay documents, scheduling salary payments and reporting to HMRC) and ensure pensions, PAYE taxes and National Insurance are calculated and paid on time.

● Create and submit quarterly VAT returns using Quickbooks

Stakeholder Management & Fundraising

● Work alongside the JCEOs to maintain high level contact and dialogue with Coney’s key stakeholders.

● Manage Coney’s Friends scheme and support effective communication with funders.

● Alongside the rest of the core team, identify opportunities for fundraising, commercial projects and consultancy, building relationships and contributing to funding proposals as required.

Marketing & Communications

● Support the Marketing & Admin Officer and Executive Programme Director / JCEO to prepare and execute a marketing and communications plan – strategically positioning Coney’s work across communities and sectors.

● Support the Marketing & Admin Officer to ensure regular communication with Coney networks (newsletters, social media and other relationships) and produce effective communication and ticketing systems for events and projects as required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a co-ordinator for the Flourish project in the Diocese of Chester.

As part of the Church of England’s Growing Faith initiative, Flourish aims to see a network of 450 new worshipping communities established in educational settings across England, beginning with a pilot scheme involving 40 locations in 12 dioceses. There will be 4 pilot projects within the Diocese of Chester.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working with children and young people, together with an appreciation of the missional task facing the church, particularly in regard to engaging missionally with a more diverse demographic.

This is a part-time position for 1 day (7 hours) per week.  The role offers hybrid working that includes working from Church House at Daresbury Park, Warrington, and travel around the Diocese.

This is an exciting and varied role requiring an eye for detail and engagement across all departments within the organisation. The Finance Manager is a key role, responsible for the day-to-day finances and responding to queries as they arise for the organisation. Reporting to and working closely with the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will ensure the systems and procedures in place that safeguard the Charity and its subsidiary companies (ESC Catering Ltd and Royal Court Theatre Productions Ltd) are the most effective they can be. They will share the ambition and enthusiasm to enable and drive change in the department to meet the needs of this busy producing theatre that is constantly evolving. 

The Finance Manager line manages the Finance Assistant ensuring the transactional detail is accurately and efficiently processed in a timely manner. Working in a fully paperless operation the Finance Manager will take the lead on several of the systems used to produce all the records in Xero. The jobholder will also be a key player in producing for example: first draft Management Accounts, Catering accounts, departmental reports and help colleagues with analysis against budgets.

Rights & Security International (RSI) is seeking a Team Leader on International Civic Space to help us take our international work to the next level, especially in Latin America and East Africa. The successful candidate will lead our engagement strategy across Global Majority countries while building and supporting coalitions around country-specific projects.

Fluency in Spanish is required.

Role overview:

After two years of coalition-building with partners, we have developed a network of relationships with human rights activists and groups in El Salvador, Colombia, Brazil, Kenya, Indonesia, the Philippines and elsewhere. We are looking for a strong organiser and human rights advocate to continue building this network and help other groups organise to create impact.

We aim to facilitate civil society groups’ engagement with UN and regional human rights bodies, support grassroots-led research projects through small grants, and facilitate collaborations on shared advocacy projects.

This position reports to the Executive Director and supervises the work of the Eastern Africa Human Rights Assistant (EAHRA).

Person specification:

· Degree in law, human rights, public policy, international development or another relevant field.

· Fluency in spoken and written Spanish as well as English.

· A minimum of 4 years of experience in international human rights advocacy or relevant community organising, including at least some experience in building or leading coalitions.

· Experience in designing and implementing effective plans to achieve reforms.

· Familiarity with the social and political landscape of at least one country in Latin America.

· A record of drafting and publishing human rights analyses or advocacy documents.

· A strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace, and solid experience of work in multi-cultural environments.  

Optional qualifications:

· Expertise in one or more of the following areas: counter-terrorism issues, climate justice, migrants’ rights, or technology and privacy.

Responsibilities:

· Create and lead advocacy strategies with partners at the national level in countries such as El Salvador, Colombia and Kenya to stop the human rights abuses that governments commit in the name of ‘national security’.

We are looking for an exceptional Centre Manager to help us ensure that everyone who works in and visits our Centre is well looked after and has a fantastic experience. 

The role is based at our beautiful Grade 2 listed building in Southwark. We will consider either a full-time application for a period of maternity cover, or a part-time job share of the role, with the potential to extend beyond the initial period of maternity cover. Our Centre houses an amazing collection of 25,000 children’s books as well as being a training and event centre for teachers, publishers and everyone else who works with children’s literature and cares about children’s literacy.

This is an extremely interesting and varied job. In one week you could be doing any number of things from ensuring our teachers can access the right equipment for their training, to planning a book launch with our librarian, welcoming our trustees to a meeting, scoping and overseeing maintenance works around our building, or looking after a famous children’s author.

Reporting to our Director of Finance and Operations (DFO), our Centre Manager will:

• Ensure efficient processes and quality facilities are in place to support the daily operations of our staff, our visitors and other organisations that share our building
• Maintain the building to ensure that the Centre can function as a public space that looks great, and is secure and safe
• Be a welcoming and generous host for visitors to our Charity and for event hires at the Centre
• Support the DFO in maintaining HR systems and processes that adhere to best practice
• Ensure our staff have the tools available to do their best work by overseeing the outsourced IT support company and maintaining our IT systems and assets.

The person we are looking for will have:

• amazing organisational skills and the ability to work and manage others under pressure
• excellent attention to detail and a commitment to evolving systems and processes that make everything more efficient
• excellent customer service skills and experience
• the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a wide range of people within and outside of the organisation
• a good knowledge of building management and the ability to maintain clear and comprehensive records

Usual hours are within 9am to 5pm but the post requires occasional out-of-office hours and flexible working in order to fulfil event commitments. The Centre Manager is the first point of contact for any building issues that occur out of hours, supported by our security and external keyholder companies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning and Coordination 

• Act as the first point of contact for Tour Managers, Agents and Artists, fielding initial production queries and questions about the venue, schedule etc. 

• Support the Director, Music Programmer and Technical team in developing and maintaining excellent working relationships and clear communication channels with artists, partners, promoters, producers and other ICA departments.

• Be responsible for coordinating and communicating all pre-production and delivery requirements with in-house departments including Finance, Operations and Visitor Services, Technical, Marketing and Communications. Including, but not limited to, FOH staffing requirements, Technician requirements, Security and Cleaners. 

• Work with the Technical Manager on technical and staging requirements of each event to ensure that rider specifics can be achieved within agreed budgetary parameters. Meet regularly with Technical Manager to ensure good channels of comms with tech team. 

• Undertake planning and administration for own promotions, including booking hotels and travel in liaison with the artists and providing necessary transport as per contractual agreement. 

• Complete Certificates of Sponsorship or Letters of Invitation for all non-EEA artists (as required) and supply info to artists who wish to apply for FEU tax exemptions/reductions as necessary. 

• Order riders and booking event catering within agreed budgets, as required. 

• In the instance the event is live streamed, ensure that we secure the relevant rights for broadcast.

• Liaise with programmers, promoters and internal departments to make the necessary arrangements for performance by high profile artists. 

• Create Function Sheets, used to brief other internal teams, for every event. 

• Coordinate and communicate event timings with the ICA Bar team, including requests for late closes and early opening. 

Contracts and Budgets 

• Issue approved and signed off contracts from the Music Programmer based on deal memos agreed and provided by the Music Programmer and ensure that these are confirmed, communicated, and understood by relevant parties before events are put on sale. 

• Work closely with the Music Programmer to track budgets (which will be initially set by the Music Programmer) and report final figures after each event. 

• Annual reporting of ticket income to PRS 

• Reconcile budgets, manage post-concert settlements and ensure invoices are paid following all live events, feeding final budget figures back to the Music Programmer. 

Ticket On-Sale Process

• Monitor box office sales during pre-production and provide final settlements to the Music Programmer and external promoters as required. 

• Provide information and communicate arrangements for the sale of merchandise, programmes and any other ancillary commercial activity in conjunction with the Bookshop Manager. 

Event Delivery 

• Attend and manage on-the-day event delivery for approximately 2 shows a week (a rough estimate, although may increase or decrease at different times of the year). 

• Work with the Executive Producer to produce monthly rotas for Event Supervisors to cover attendance of live events. 

• When allocated and agreed with the Music Programmer, to attend and oversee rehearsals, soundchecks and performances in the ICA Theatre, acting as the first point of contact on behalf of the ICA.

• Any other appropriate duties as required by the Director and Head of Artistic Programmes. This may include occasional event management of dance and live performance projects.

PERSON REQUIREMENTS

● Is able to work well and communicate with a wide range of people, including internal and external stakeholders

Desirable skills and experience:

The Membership officer will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and successful membership journey for FSC members. This role will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of member activities and events. The role will also contribute to a culture of continual learning through gathering and analysing member feedback and implementing changes as part of FSC’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework.

The successful candidate must be able to self-manage projects and tasks to completion. Flexibility, positivity, proactively, independence, drive and a willingness to pitch in as true team-player are essential to success. This role reports to the FSC Executive Director but works closely with other members of the team.

New Art Exchange (NAE) is a pioneering creative space in Hyson Green, Nottingham. We’re the UK’s largest gallery dedicated to contemporary visual arts from the Global Ethnic Majority. We set out to reshape the contemporary art narrative by championing diversity and inclusivity and by providing a platform for underrepresented voices in the art world. 

Purpose of the role

The Facilities Manager will be a key member of NAE’s operations team, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of our 4-storey building (including gallery spaces, meeting rooms, performance space, workshop, artist studio, cafébar, plant room and technical storage) is fit for purpose.

Main duties of the role

Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM), testing/inspections, and reactive repairs across all building services including but not limited to plumbing, electric wiring, HVAC, lifts, film alarm, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers and suppression systems, intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, pest control, etc, within budget.

Ensure NAE’s building is always well-presented, clean and aesthetically in a good state of repair, ensuring all areas are maintained in a tidy and well organised.

Responsible for the management of the facilities budget, including negotiating the best possible value across utilities, contracts and service level agreements.

Ensure all maintenance and service works take place with agreed SLA’s, is delivered on time and to budget and service reports and other filing is well managed.

Responsible for Health and Safety across the building and organisation including health and safety policy, fire strategy, risk assessments covering all areas of the building and specific RAs for each event, safe systems of work, accident/incident reports and compliant filing.

Responsible for building security systems, keys and fobs, alarm monitoring and keyholding services, and alongside the General Manager oversee emergency procedures & act as a fire warden.

Responsible for premises cleaning (including line management of two part-time cleaners) and associated services such as waste management and sanitary collections.

Support the Executive Director to develop and implement an Environmental Policy to ensure that NAE considers the environment within all new and existing suppliers’ arrangements.Responsible for carbon footprint reporting.

The Programme Manager is a new role which lies at the heart of our organisation.  The Programme Manager will focus on developing our current processes and procedures to create a strong operational framework within which our whole team can thrive.  In particular, the role will be responsible for the co-ordination and administration of all our programme delivery and site pipelines, ensuring that all activity is aligned with funding agreements.  In addition, the role will operate a central office function accessible to our team working across Cumbria. There’s also the opportunity to get out of the office to work with our foresters and local communities across Cumbria to plant trees and create a legacy.  It’s an exciting time to join our organisation.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar project or programme management role, preferably within the environmental or charitable sector though this is not essential.

The ability to work as part of an agile and dynamic multidisciplinary team is a must, as well as strong project management skills including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

Provision of Administrative Services for Grant Giving Trust

Two interesting and innovative family trusts, one charitable, the other a radical grantmaker unrestricted by charitable status, seek administrative support to field applications, prepare papers for three trustees' meetings a year, minute these meetings and handle follow-up. 

The post is self-employed paying up to £30 per hour, averaging 28 hours per month (so earning in the region of £850 pm), but is concentrated around the meetings. 

Helpful to be based conveniently for meetings in London, but not essential as Zoom can be used. As this is a self-employed post it will be within your own choosing how, when and where you undertake the required work.

Administrative efficiency and good time-management are paramount and IT skills essential but wider interest, involvement and opinions are welcome.

This exciting role will work closely with the Director of Fundraising, Individual Giving Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to develop a strategy, plan and key performance metrics for digital donor acquisition and fundraising. Already expert and excited by digital fundraising campaign development, you’ll have a unique combination of creative and business skills. These will enable you to create engaging digital content and through your expertise in paid search, google grants and paid social, optimise the ROI for Starlight in terms of donor engagement, acquisition, and income. You’ll be curious and take time to understand how we’re supporting children in healthcare settings which will enable you to create content that resonates with our key audiences. Finally, alongside strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, you will be proactive and results-driven with a ‘can do’ attitude to work.
