As the charity’s most senior employee, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the charity’s work. You will report to the Board of Trustees and work with them to shape the strategic direction of the charity in supporting LGBTQ+ young people.
You will bring with you a comprehensive awareness and understanding of the key issues and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ young people and communities and be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders and the wider public. You will also be a confident public speaker, representing the charity at events and in the media, and in the delivery of consultancy and advice work.
You will also have a strong track record of effective financial management, income generation from a diverse range of sources and monitoring and evaluating work for grant and contract funders.
In addition to all of these skills and attributes you will be able to bring your extensive leadership experience to the role, overseeing a skilled team of project and development workers and volunteers, and providing direct line management to our charity managers.

YMCA West Sussex Transitional Housing provides safe, secure accommodation for young people aged 18-25, who have been, or are at risk of homelessness. Our staff team comprises of Supported Housing Support Workers, Housing Mobile Night Workers and two Supported Housing Managers. We offer a support package alongside the accommodation to actively encourage residents into education, training, employment or voluntary work.
In delivering the role, you will work with the Deputy Supported Housing Manager and the wider housing team to provide effective day to day management of our transitional accommodation service. You will have your own caseload of residents, working creatively and effectively alongside young people to develop their assets and talents and to acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives. You will contribute to the smooth and safe running of the service by providing consistency and reliability. You will have a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations. You will also support young people to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk. There will be times when lone working will be a requirement for this role.
This role is based on site in Horsham and will cover Transitional services across Horsham, Crawley, Burgess Hill and Worthing. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

SPANA - The Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad is the global charity for working animals in low-income countries. We are looking for a Global Resources Coordinator to ensure operations within our global resources team run smoothly and efficiently. Key responsibilities

Overview / purpose of the role
We’re looking for a Finance & Operations Assistant who is interested in developing a career in bookkeeping and/or accountancy within the nonprofit sector. No previous experience is required, just lots of passion and a motivation to pursue a long-term career in charity finance. The successful candidate will undertake training with the AAT (funded by us) towards a bookkeeping qualification alongside working as our Finance & Operations Assistant, you will be given some time to study during your working hours for this qualification.
The Finance & Operations Assistant is a central resource within CGP, working with colleagues in the Operations Team, and across the organisation to provide financial and operational support to all areas of our work. They will work closely with the Head of Operations & Evaluation to process invoices, expenses and conduct weekly payment runs, ensuring that all financial policies and procedures are carefully adhered to. They will also support colleagues to follow our financial policies and processes and act as the first point of contact for any questions on these procedures. Additionally, they will provide general administrative and operational support to colleagues as outlined in the below job description.

Responsibilities
Finance
● Managing our accounts payable inbox, monitoring all incoming invoices and following up with team members on any missing information if required
● Processing and coding invoices in Xero accounting software ahead of weekly payment runs

● Conducting weekly payment runs via our online banking system
● Coordinating our monthly payroll processes (working with external providers)

The right candidate is less likely to be defined by their qualifications and prior experience, but will be someone who meets the below criteria, and is ready to learn. This post is an exciting opportunity to work with Nottingham City’s PCN 8 (Clifton and Meadows).. Using the Macmillan Electronic Holistic Needs Assessment to support Cancer Care Reviews will ensure patients have access to the right support for all their non-clinical needs. The post will also work on the preventative agenda, supporting uptake of cancer screening across the PCNs and supporting the practices within the PCNs to deliver their improvement plan around early diagnosis of cancer. You will work in partnership with GP surgeries to give non-medical support that maximises patients’ wellbeing through their Cancer journey. The primary role is to do Cancer Care Reviews, with access to each surgery’s IT systems to track patient lists, document, and communicate with practice staff. This role will involve liaising with services from within the NHS structure as well as external services, so you will need to be skilled in navigating intricate processes and organisational structures from both the inside and the outside. You will also help with improving screening uptake and community engagement, building relationships with local services and groups to further enhance the support.

- Maintaining cashbook and ensuring the correct allocation of income
- Undertaking monthly bank reconciliations of multiple bank accounts and assisting with other reconciliations and month end duties as required

About you
We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail, and excels in being accurate and ensuring tasks are complete and followed up as necessary.
You will be able to assess and interpret data and communicate clearly through excellent written and verbal skills whilst also being able to establish good relationships, and provide quality customer service both internally and externally
Good IT, writing and teamwork skills are a key part of this role, as is the ability to follow policy and procedure. It is a busy role that will have many competing deadlines so the ability to prioritise and multi-task is also key.
