Role Summary
Southwark Cathedral has been a place of Christian worship for over 1400 years. It is a very busy place, attracting 200,000 visitors a year to the Cathedral, its churchyard and medieval herb garden. The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide support to the Chief Operation Officer (COO) to assist them in the effective functioning of all governance, human resources and operational arrangements at the Cathedral.

Variety, the Children's Charity is excited to recruit for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the fundraising team as we launch a new multi-year partnership in January 2026. This role is a new position to support our ambitious growth to deliver award winning partnerships and raise money from corporate partners across the Northeast region. This key role on our team will ensure our work to fund life-changing practical support to disabled and disadvantaged children and young people continues across the UK.
You will be joining the charity at an exciting time as we are launching a three-year strategy to drive growth with lots of new fundraising plans in place alongside a great team and a new Director of Fundraising. You will have a large partnership in the property sector to manage, and with your experience you will develop new partners in the Northeast of England, ensuring we maximise leads and introductions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Lead account management of a large national corporate partnership, delivering a six-figure fundraising target and giving first class stewardship to ensure engagement with all staff across multiple sites in the UK
● Develop engaging marketing and communications for the partnership and develop new business materials for their suppliers and customers, to get them involved in the partnership
● Travel across regional offices for fundraising and volunteering, engaging staff and working with our beneficiary schools on engagement events
● Write and deliver quarterly impact reporting, making presentations at head office with partnership updates
● Track income and expenditure for the partnership
● Develop new business by introductions from the partnership and also work across the Northwest to develop new leads for the corporate fundraising pipeline
● Plan volunteering days for corporate partners, coordinating with our school’s network, sending briefs and attending some events to ensure smooth coordination
● Attending regular partnership meetings and keeping all account plans up to date utilising our CRM system Salesforce
● Attend Variety fundraising and awareness events representing the charity and speaking confidently about our work
● Collaborate with the programmes team to plan partner Sunshine Coach presentations, Great Days Out, and visits to partner schools
● Participate in staff meetings, fundraising team meetings and contribute to the success of Variety’s fundraising strategy

Salary: £35,000-£38,000 per annum
Location: Remote working (must be in the Northeast area) (with 2-4 days per month working from a corporate partner office in Newcastle)
Hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday - Friday
25 days holiday (we also normally give between Christmas and New Year off, but this is not contractual). In addition, after one year's continuous service, there will be an extra 2 days annual holiday added for every complete year of service, up to a maximum of five days' extra holiday.

Core Purpose:
The Head of Public Fundraising is a pivotal strategic leadership role at Make-A-Wish UK, responsible for the strategic direction, planning, delivery, long-term growth and performance of all public fundraising and supporter engagement activity.
This includes strategic oversight of all public income streams - individual giving (cash, regular giving, lottery, payroll), legacies, in-memory giving, challenge events, community fundraising, owned products, and innovation—as well as operational leadership of the Supporter Care team, which manages supporter care, income processing, data imports, and inbound queries for the whole organisation.
The role leads a multi-disciplinary team of around 20, across four core public fundraising and engagement functions, who are responsible for delivery of a high-performing public fundraising programme and sector-leading supporter care function - acquiring, engaging, and retaining supporters at scale, growing income sustainably and ensuring every interaction reflects Make-A-Wish’s values and drives long-term income growth.
This role contributes to over 50% of the charity’s total fundraised income, plays a critical role in long-term sustainability, and operates at cross-organisationally to embed a supporter-first culture, championing segmentation, stewardship and integrated journeys that drive lifetime value. The role is responsible for delivering significant and growing income targets, developing multi-year investment plans, and influencing organisation-wide strategies to ensure we are equipped to serve a growing supporter base. The postholder is part of the Extended Leadership Team (XLT), reporting to the Director of Income & Engagement, and influences decisions at Board level through strategic investment planning and performance reporting.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in public fundraising, with a strong track record of income growth across a broad portfolio of income streams (e.g. individual giving, legacies, community, events, innovation, lottery).
- Experience of leading the development and implementation of organisation-wide strategies, and aligning team plans to broader strategic priorities.
- Demonstrable success in a senior leadership role of similar scale and complexity, with full accountability for strategy, delivery, performance and people management across multiple teams and functions.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering large-scale fundraising strategies, investment plans, and innovation pipelines which supports the organisational vision, mission and strategic objectives.
- Significant experience of leading both income-generating and operational functions (e.g. supporter experience or donor services).
- Highly experienced in developing and delivering multi-channel and multi-product acquisition, engagement and retention strategies to engage a range of supporter audiences to grow a supporter database and increase lifetime value.
- Highly experienced in using different direct marketing techniques across a range of channels including DRTV, DM, F2F, TM and digital marketing, with a proven track record of income growth within a fundraising environment, developed and delivered with a focus on future sustainability.
- Strong background in managing multi-million-pound budgets and long-term ROI models, including regular Board-level reporting.
- Strong external representation skills, including managing relationships with key suppliers, agencies, and sector partners.
- Demonstrable ability to lead insight-driven innovation, with experience of testing, scaling and refining audience-led approaches.
- Comfortable using digital tools, automation or CRM platforms to optimise supporter journeys and improve operational efficiency.
- Deep understanding of UK fundraising regulation, supporter data compliance, and charity governance. Awareness of organisational risk and compliance, including how regulatory or reputational risks impact strategic decision-making.

Strategy and Planning
- Develop, own and drive the Make-A-Wish Public Fundraising strategy and roadmap, aligning it to organisational goals and strategy, and ensuring long-term scalable, sustainable income growth.
- Shape strategy and long-term plans across all public income streams: individual giving (cash, RG, lottery, payroll giving), legacy, in-memory, third-party events, community fundraising, owned products and innovation.
- Use insight, segmentation, and lifetime value data to inform fundraising planning across acquisition, engagement, and retention. This includes owning the Make-A-Wish supporter segmentation model.
- Ensure the team adopts a test-and-learn culture grounded in insight, continual improvement and audience understanding.
- Lead the development of scalable propositions, product strategies and audience approaches across all public income channels.
- Set up and model new income streams from scratch (e.g. lottery and regular giving programmes), with robust 10-year financial investment cases to inform Board-level decisions.
- Oversee the development of the engagement strategy for these supporters—defining its purpose, positioning, and role in supporting income growth, supporter satisfaction, and operational excellence.
- Oversee the development and delivery of a comprehensive Supporter Care Roadmap, ensuring all inbound supporter touchpoints are high quality, timely, compliant, and aligned with Make-A-Wish’s tone, values, and fundraising activity.
- Provide strategic leadership to the Supporter Care function, ensuring it is fully embedded into the public fundraising model and capable of scaling as supporter volumes grow, including future-facing processes, tech use, and journey mapping.
- Lead strategy on audience journeys and supporter touchpoints, including Make-A-Wish’s Contact Strategy, driving joined-up experiences and consistent messaging.
- Contribute to the overall organisational strategy through Extended Leadership Team (XLT) engagement, ensuring public fundraising is fully integrated. Act as a senior leader within Income & Engagement and across the organisation, contributing to cross-functional strategy and planning.
Operational Delivery
- Oversee the delivery of public fundraising programmes across all channels and products, ensuring alignment to income, supporter volume, and ROI targets.
- Lead the development and testing of new fundraising propositions, programmes and products, in line with audience needs and market opportunities.
- Oversee the team to deliver multi-channel campaigns across DRTV, direct mail, F2F, telemarketing, digital and social - working closely with agencies and internal teams.
- Ensure all supporter journeys across fundraising and experience are aligned, data-driven, and optimised to deepen engagement and improve retention.
- Oversee the operational performance of the Supporter Care Team, ensuring efficient income processing, compliant data handling, and prompt responses across phone, inbox and other inbound channels.
- Deliver continuous improvement across supporter care workflows—introducing training, process optimisation, documentation and KPIs.
- Ensure fundraising and supporter care functions meet all regulatory requirements (Fundraising Code, Gambling Commission, GDPR), including acting as the lead for the Gambling Commission.
- Lead strategic projects at XLT level that improve supporter engagement, fundraising effectiveness and operational scalability.
Financial Management
- Hold responsibility for multi-million pound income and expenditure budgets across the department.
- Lead business planning, investment proposals, budgeting, and reforecasting across all public fundraising and supporter care activity for 5 to 10 year plans.
- Build and manage multi-year investment models to inform income planning, particularly for high-potential streams like regular giving and lottery.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, providing insight, variances, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and the Board. Monitor return on investment across products and channels to inform future strategic decisions.
- Support senior managers to manage their budgets effectively and adapt where needed to maintain financial performance.
- Ensure all activity within supporter care operations is cost-effective, accurate and delivers strong value for money.
People Leadership and Culture
- Provide strategic leadership to a multi-functional team of approximately 20 colleagues, including four senior direct reports across core fundraising and supporter servicing functions.
- Set a clear team vision and ensure that performance, culture and development support organisational ambitions and create a supportive, inclusive culture focused on shared goals and continuous improvement.
- Embed a high-performance culture through clear goals, coaching, accountability, and personal development plans.
- Champion coaching, cross-team collaboration and a test-and-learn culture - empowering staff to innovate and drive impact.
- Ensure Supporter Care staff are resourced, trained and empowered to deliver a high-quality supporter experience that aligns with strategic goals.
- Lead on culture change within the Supporter Care function, embedding shared purpose with fundraising and a deep understanding of how supporter experience contributes to retention and long-term income growth.
- Shape the future structure and capability of the team to support long-term growth, including the integration of the Supporter Care function into the public fundraising model.
Stakeholder and Supplier Management
- Lead strategic supplier relationships across fundraising and experience (media, creative, F2F, print, fulfilment), negotiating contracts and ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Build strong internal relationships with stakeholders in Brand, Digital, Tech, Finance, Data and Wishgranting to deliver joined-up strategy and planning. Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to deliver integrated, insight-led supporter journeys and ensure shared accountability for audience experience
- Collaborate with the Head of Brand & Comms to ensure fundraising communications reflect the brand and improve audience engagement.
- Represent Public Fundraising at the Extended Leadership Team (XLT), contributing to cross-charity strategy, insight sharing and project delivery.
- Act as a key internal ambassador for the supporter, using insight and feedback to shape fundraising propositions and operational improvements.
Data, Insight and Innovation
- Work in partnership with Data & Impact to develop insight tools and reporting dashboards to track performance across both income and supporter experience.
- Oversee use of segmentation, audience journey mapping, and predictive analytics to inform both fundraising and operational planning.
- Lead on Make-A-Wish’s innovation pipeline within Public Fundraising, identifying opportunities for new product development and managing test-and-learn pilots through to scale.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to ensure fundraising and supporter care stay relevant and responsive to audience expectations.
- Own delivery of the supporter care improvement programme, embedding measurement of satisfaction, service levels, and team performance.

This role will suit a candidate who has excellent programme planning and project management skills. Responsibilities
- Lead SCF’s legacy fundraising programme, working closely with the Philanthropy Director and Senior Marketing Manager to create and deliver a legacy fundraising strategy.
- Lead on the creation and delivery of a stewardship framework to deliver an outstanding donor experience for SCF’s supporters and partners, including fundholders, corporate partners, charitable trusts, legacy pledgers and individual donors.
- Lead on ensuring the team are making best use of Salesforce to support effective portfolio management and reporting, and maintaining high-quality data.
- Lead on the delivery of our annual Fundholder Impact Reports, working collaboratively with the wider team including Finance and Programmes and embedding more efficient use of CRM and AI to support this.

About the Department/ Team
RUSI’s Proliferation and Nuclear Policy (PNP) programme addresses issues raised by the development and spread of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, and related technologies, through innovative research, dialogue and partnership with national and international bodies.
Main purpose of post
The PONI Project Manager will be responsible for delivery and development of the United Kingdom Project on Nuclear Issues (UK PONI), a flagship project for the PNP programme. Since 2009, UK PONI has helped to address the nuclear policy and technology challenges of tomorrow by developing and sustaining emerging nuclear specialists from industry, academia, government, and the military, and by connecting them with established experts. Its goal is to build a vibrant and diverse community of well-informed, well-connected and capable nuclear specialists in the UK.
To do this, it seeks to connect across boundaries, be they technical-policy, senior-junior, government and non-government, military-civilian, pro- and anti-nuclear, and internationally; it looks at ways it can help members of the nuclear community develop their knowledge and skills, including by promoting diversity of inclusion and representation; and it provides a platform for emerging talent, principally through its Annual Conference and through the UK PONI blog, Nuclear Reactions. UK PONI has great growth potential, and RUSI’s goal for the PM is to realise this by taking responsibility for driving the project forward, expanding funding and its membership, while maintaining the high standards of the existing programme and our established relationships.
Key tasks
The Project Manager will:

Role Overview
upReach is seeking to hire an Organisational Initiatives and Governance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with upReach’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on strategic projects, internal communication, governance, and other internal and external initiatives.
The role will provide direct support to the SLT, building their capacity and enabling the charity to continue to grow and increase its impact. They will support the collection of key data for strategic decision making and take responsibility for regular and accurate reporting to our Boards, whilst also leading on the planning and delivery of several key projects. Projects they work on will include exploring how to best expand our work in Scotland and coordinating the cohesive delivery of work that falls under the umbrella of our ‘Double Benefit’ approach.
Whilst Governance and the support provided to the SLT will remain consistent in this role, organisational initiatives will change over time, depending on where it is agreed with the SLT that the ROI is greatest and can best achieve upReach’s overarching mission.
Core Responsibilities
The Organisational Initiatives and Governance Manager will report to the Director of People and Strategy and work on initiatives and projects that the SLT believe will help us to best achieve our mission. In addition to this, the Organisational Initiatives and Governance Manager will also work closely with the SLT to provide governance and operational support. This will include coordinating with Trustees to organise the yearly calendar of governance events and preparing papers for Trustees, Advisory Board and Services meetings, including the Annual Report.
This role will require influencing and collaboration in order to deliver upReach’s mission through a range of stakeholders across the team.

1) Strategic Projects & Organisational Initiatives

Having recently successfully registered as a Scottish charity we are exploring what expansion could and should look like, and this role will work on the practicalities regarding how upReach can sustainably support more students in Scotland. Pending approval of plans from the SLT and Board, the role would lead on enacting the agreed upon approach.

Have oversight of a cohesive, deliberate programme of Double Benefit effective practice at upReach, working across teams to do so. This will include:

Supporting the Events team in the creation of the agenda and delivery of the annual Championing Change event in collaboration with Bank of America, bringing together employers across industries to promote inclusion and social mobility.

Support work on policy being led by the Marketing and Communications Team to ensure it is cohesive with our wider Double Benefit approach.

Context of Job
AFK is a national charity creating opportunities for children and young people who are disabled or neurodiverse, to increase their independence, reach their individual potential and remove the barriers they face. Our vision is a world where there are no barriers to independence for children and young people who are disabled or neurodiverse. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills training and organise work experience across North London.
At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 25.
Overall Job Purpose
To support young people aged 18+ with a range of disabilities/neurodiversity to progress towards and into employment. The role will be to primarily liaise with employers and brokering new opportunities for supported and unsupported employment. You will also work with young people assessing their employability skills and place young people into employment, some voluntary roles and work placements. Specialist one to one job coaching will be required to enable young people to progress towards their own goals and objectives.
Working Conditions
The post is 35 hours a week, normally 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. The post holder may be expected to work some evenings and weekends as required by the job.
28 days annual leave will be given in addition to public holidays.

Working Relationships
Build and sustain strong relationships with HR Managers, hiring Managers, and equivalent roles within businesses.
Collaborate daily with AFK Employment Coaches and the Employment & Skills Manager, working closely with the Executive Director of Services and members of the Impact & Innovation Team.
Principal Responsibilities
Employer Engagement & Opportunity Development
- Proactively engage with employers to identify and create employment opportunities for young people (YP), including voluntary roles, work tasters, and placements.
- Secure a range of opportunities—paid employment, voluntary work, work tasters, and placements—to support individuals on their employment journey.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the local labour market and emerging opportunities relevant to employment, volunteering, and work experience.
- Build and sustain effective partnerships with local employer groups, statutory bodies, voluntary organisations, and private sector stakeholders to develop suitable opportunities for YP.
- Provide training and guidance to employers as needed to support inclusive employment practices.
Individual Support & Coaching
- Deliver intensive one-to-one support to individuals across all aspects of employment preparation and progression.
- Work with up to two YP at a time, in collaboration with their Employment Coach (EC), to identify and support their employment aspirations.
- Assess and advise on financial implications related to part-time employment and disability benefits for individuals.
- Support YP in developing employment-related skills and connect them with relevant training opportunities.
- Provide initial workplace support to YP before transitioning ongoing support to their EC.
- Refer YP to specialist services for additional advice and support when appropriate.
- Develop tailored plans to help YP achieve their employment goals.
- Deliver or coordinate coaching and training sessions as required.
Collaboration & Case Management
- Collaborate weekly with AFK’s Senior Employment Coach to match job roles to YP from EC caseloads.
- Monitor YP progress into employment and maintain accurate records.
Administration & Professional Development
- Complete all administrative tasks associated with the role in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in learning and development activities identified through regular appraisals and reviews.
Undertake any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Executive Director of Services and the Employment & Skills Manager.
