We are recruiting a Programme Manager to lead our grassroots consortium Better Bethnal Green (BBG), supporting young people facing multiple/complex disadvantages in the borough. Our partners and we are specialists in transforming the life trajectories of young people who have become marginalised by local poverty, unemployment and crime – particularly those from BAME communities who are disproportionately affected by these issues.

Qualifications:

Main Purpose and Scope of the Role

The Development Director will be a key part of the Action4Youth Senior Management Team, contributing to strategic development of the whole organisation and taking responsibility for the leadership and management of all aspects of business development, sales, fundraising, marketing and communications.

The Development Director will ensure development to support the Strategic and Operational Plans in order to achieve growth, sustainability and stability and to support the Action4Youth core offer i.e.  programme delivery and outdoor education.

Because Action4Youth is a relatively small organisation, teams are small and this means that even senior members of the team like Directors may have to cover for a team member when on leave or generally help out as necessary to achieve targets. In this particular role, that could mean undertaking basic tasks like completing a funding bid to meet a deadline, updating a webpage, writing blog posts or handling sales calls. This job is unusual in genuinely being both strategic and hands on.

Networking is an important part of this role so the post holder will often be expected to attend out of hours events to represent Action4Youth and to develop valuable relationships and connections.

Since its creation in 1987 Education for Health has been providing education and training to Healthcare Professionals. The Young People Programme Manager will work with the Creative Learning team at Factory International to develop, deliver and manage programmes of work with young people between the ages of 14 and 30. This role will be responsible for the delivery of key strategic partnerships with commercial brands, as well as developing new streams of work with a focus on sharing power through curatorial programme decision making, programming and youth governance.

Creative Learning develop and deliver learning programs with young people and children from Cradle to Creative (the age of 0 through to 30) with a focus on underrepresented children, young people and artists. We're offering you the opportunity to become the Director of Education of the British Institute of Radiology (BIR), an international membership organisation for everyone working in imaging, radiation oncology and the underlying sciences.

As Director of Education, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the educational direction of the BIR. It's a leadership position which involves overseeing the development of new initiatives, programmes and strategies to enhance the BIR’s educational offerings and outcomes, and the post-holder will be responsible for the strategic focus and financial performance of the BIR Education programme.

We're half way through our new five-year strategy, and the education team plays a key role in helping to ensure the BIR remains financially sustainable, offering education to more people, and helping expand the membership. The role has also recently been recently expanded to include leadership for two important new roles in Communications and Partnerships, and both positions will be responsible for leading and delivering their respective strategies as part of the wider strategy.

Our new Director of Education will be experienced in developing and implementing successful education strategies at senior level, which will include new business development, income generation or building revenue streams, as well as experience of creating, managing and reporting on budgets.

You'll have had experience of educational events as well as the development of online educational activities, such as virtual events, webpages or apps, and you'll be adept at managing projects and working with stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Finally, you'll also be an experienced line manager, capable of supporting, nurturing and bringing out the best in your teams.

Although we offer flexible working, it is envisaged that the successful candidate is able to work from our London office at least 2 days per week, between Monday to Wednesday. National and occasional international travel might also be required.

This entry level role into a humanitarian sector charity will support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of UK- and overseas-delivered surgical, anaesthesia, obstetrics/gynaecology, and nursing courses, will administer our medical teaching faculty, and will support all other aspects of the Foundation’s business as they relate to its international programmes.

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting a performing arts charity based in Birmingham as they look to appoint an Interim Director of Learning and Participation. This position is offered on a 6-month contract on a hybrid working contract, 2 days per week in the Birmingham Office.

This position will come into the organisation and oversee the continued delivery of their educational outreach programmes targeted at engaging schools and special educational needs. You will ensure these remain best-in-class and support the development of a new programme stream to support career opportunities. We're looking for someone to lead and develop our research team of staff and freelance research associates and be part of our Senior Leadership Team. We work with charities, foundations and public agencies to strengthen UK communities through action research. We champion the role and contribution of the voluntary sector, listen and learn with charities to understand what helps or hinders them and influence changes in practice within foundations and public agencies.

You'll have an interest in our work – helping individuals and organisations in the voluntary sector to achieve change; and a strong understanding and experience of using qualitative research methodology, ideally including experience of action research, facilitation and evaluation design alongside an understanding of quantitative methods. You’ll have experience of  leading, managing and contributing to all stages of the research process (including writing in an accessible and engaging manner for different audiences); be confident in leading a portfolio of varied projects; have experience of line management and working in a senior leadership team; and be comfortable working in a small organisation with wide-ranging responsibilities.

Main responsibilities include:

• Overseeing and shaping the research project portfolio to ensure quality delivery and alignment with IVAR’s strategic priorities.
• Leading, supervising and guiding the research team, including supporting Project Managers to deliver high quality research; monthly research team meetings; and continuous professional development of research staff.
• Being a member of project delivery teams.
• Monitoring project budgets and progress against income targets.
• Ensuring IVAR meets its responsibilities in terms of research ethics and safeguarding and that our research practice is equitable and inclusive.
• Maintaining and developing a network that supports a healthy project pipeline of new work, including relationships with delivery partners who can complement and enhance IVAR’s offer.
• Leading project design and proposals for commissioned work.
• Leading the identification, assessment and response to tender opportunities.
• Being part of the Senior Leadership Team, which includes ensuring an integrated approach to research and communications and the quality of all written outputs; participating in IVAR meetings and events (including quarterly Board meetings); planning and delivering monthly team days; contributing to the development of internal systems/processes; developing organisational culture; developing and promoting IVAR’s public profile and influence.
