We have an exciting opportunity for an emerging lawyer with exceptional writing and communication skills and a passion for fighting corruption and injustice, to join our small and growing team as a Legal Fellow. 

This one-year fellowship offers a unique springboard for an aspiring barrister or solicitor through its combination of practical legal experience (encompassing commercial, public and criminal litigation) and specialist policy exposure in the fields of economic crime and corruption.

Who we are

Spotlight on Corruption is a UK-based charity, founded in September 2019, that shines a light on the UK’s role in corruption at home and abroad. We want to see a society with strong, transparent and accountable institutions which ensure corruption is not tolerated and democracy flourishes both in the UK and globally.

We track how the UK is implementing its anti-corruption laws and monitor the effectiveness of anti-corruption enforcement in the UK. We build the evidence base for reform through our unique court monitoring programme as well as investigative research and extensive engagement with experts and frontline practitioners. The successes of our legal work include intervening in a major Court of Appeal case to safeguard the UK’s anti-money laundering regime, supporting a challenge to reveal the identity of a major political donor in a dirty money case, and winning the right to publish the jury bundle in a high-profile trial about a corrupt arms deal. 

Acting as policy entrepreneurs, we develop innovative and pragmatic solutions and disseminate our work through hard-hitting reports and briefings to inform decision-makers and the general public. We follow through with dogged advocacy, working in a highly collaborative manner to build consensus for reform.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a recent law graduate or early career professional with an outstanding eye for detail, strong analytical and research skills, and demonstrable experience in writing and communicating persuasively.

Working closely with our tight-knit and dynamic team, you will help deliver our unique court monitoring programme by following major cases related to corruption and economic crime that are heard in the UK courts. This work will give you invaluable first-hand exposure to legal proceedings across a range of courts and tribunals in England and Wales – not only high-profile criminal prosecutions and asset recovery proceedings, but also major commercial litigation and other civil claims, as well as judicial review proceedings and regulatory enforcement action.

As the legal fellow, you will benefit from the mentorship of a leading barrister as well as other support when drafting court applications or submissions and scoping potential opportunities for strategic litigation that could advance Spotlight’s advocacy objectives. Working closely with the Deputy Director, you will also engage with other top lawyers who serve on Spotlight’s strategic litigation advisory board. In the course of this work, you will help build our relationships with the legal sector as well as strengthen our relationships with law enforcement agencies, civil servants, journalists, and civil society partners, particularly in the Global South.

Drawing on your close monitoring of court cases and engagement with law enforcement agencies, legal practitioners and other experts, you will contribute evidence-based research, briefings, blogs and commentary on core areas of our work. This will require forensic attention to detail, strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, and a flair for communicating complex issues in a compelling and accessible way. 

You will be confident working with complex legal materials and following court proceedings while showing enthusiastic, creative and strategic engagement with the broader policy issues arising from our casework. You will feel comfortable drafting briefings to inform parliamentarians and influence decision-makers as well as contributing blogs and rapid-response social media commentary on key developments to advance Spotlight’s key messages.

The successful applicant must be London based in order to attend court hearings and regular team meetings. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Checking court lists, attending court hearings and writing accessible, high-quality monitoring notes

• Assisting with the drafting of applications and representations to the court on open justice issues including access to court documents and reporting restrictions orders

• Developing case studies for our corruption cases database

• Drafting briefings, blogs, social media content and other outputs on legal developments and implications of cases

• Preparing and presenting briefings on the implications of cases and potential litigation opportunities

• Undertaking research and analysis on key cases and the facts behind them

• Developing and managing partnerships with civil society partners in the Global South on issues arising from court cases, including developing joint work with such partners.

Person Specification: Essential 

• Excellent degree in law or a non-law degree with a law conversion course (GDL/PGDL) 

• Superb written and verbal communication skills

• Strong skills in information-gathering, research, analysis and investigation with an exceptional eye for detail

• Proven ability to work on own initiative while maintaining strong communication with team members

• Strong organisational and administrative skills including IT proficiency, and a rigorous approach to maintaining records

We are recruiting to the role of Head of Finance, following the retirement of a long-standing member of staff. The role will be part of the Leadership Team at CPAS and report to the Director of Operations and Finance. The successful candidate will lead a small finance team and work collaboratively with Ministry and Support Teams to ensure our systems our efficient and well run.

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and have experience of managing a small team across the various finance functions. This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Domestic Abuse Trainer and Assessor on a part time, fixed term contract until May 2026. 

Refuge has recently been granted funding from the Ministry of Justice to develop training for Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs). This role has been created as a fixed term post to support that project. This is a strategic project and the overall aim of the MoJ is to increase access to training for IDVA professionals.

As the Domestic Abuse Trainer, the post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a high quality, accredited training programme, including workshops, assessments, and digital resources for professionals in the domestic abuse sector.

This role will work in partnership with our Service Delivery subject matter experts and our People & Organisational Development team to develop and deliver domestic abuse training for Independent Domestic Violence Advocates and other front-line specialists. You will also be leading on assessments for delegates attending the training which should demonstrate competence through on the job training.

The post holder will be able to demonstrate extensive experience in training delivery or education in the domestic abuse sector. They should also have an understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and the barriers many women face in seeking support.

The Role

You will hold Strategic oversight over IPS Grow data analysis and business intelligence functions and, in collaboration with expert Digi colleagues, IPS Grow digital tools.

The Team

IPS Grow is a national programme designed to support the expansion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in mental health, primary care, and drug and alcohol teams across England. The programme is led by the organisation in partnership with the Centre for Mental Health. It is funded by NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).

A core element of the programme is the expert assistance provided by a team of IPS professionals, known as IPS Grow Leads, to support providers to improve their fidelity to the IPS model and achieve better employment outcomes for their clients.

About You

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience of designing and leading data strategy at a senior level. This encompasses how we collect and manage data, as well as using analysis to produce relevant and actionable insights
• Experience of successfully managing senior stakeholder relationships,  including communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Expertise in Information Security and Governance and the associated standards and requirements when hosting and processing personal data on behalf of public sector organisations.

The England Project Management Team manage all sorts of projects, from species recovery at a landscape scale to infrastructure repairs and commercial developments. Our project teams include colleagues from a range of disciplines as well as external consultants and suppliers. You’ll need to be able to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders and motivate others to get things done to keep projects progressing smoothly.

Key activities will include:

• Develop and manage one or more complex projects at any one time. To include budget management, stakeholder management, risk management, contractor procurement and other tasks as required. 
• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project success by focusing on a common goal. 
• Develop and oversee a pipeline of projects that contribute to delivery against strategic priorities, working with regional/country management teams. 
• Provide support & advice to the regional /country management team to enable them to use the PMF effectively to deliver strategic priorities and successful projects (including ensuring project assurance is in place).

About the role

The Lab is now working with Demos, a leading cross-party think tank and the Lloyds Bank Foundation on a collaborative project to celebrate community-led change across the country. The project will seek: (1) to connect an array of brilliant organisations creating new forms of public services and (2) write a narrative that puts this community-led innovation at the centre of broader efforts at rethinking how the state delivers for its citizens. The project will work with leaders across civil society, academia and the highest levels of politics to demonstrate the potential for community-led change to generate national renewal.

We are seeking a motivated individual to take on the role of Project Network Coordinator. They will report to the Director of the UCL Policy Lab and work closely with the team. The post is fixed term for the duration of nine months either full or part time with the possibility to be extended.

The post holder will be expected to work both at UCL but also on ad hoc occasions from the offices of our partner organisation, Demos.

The salary for this role is between £36,433 and £39,807 per anum dependent on experience and includes the London Allowance.

About you

The UCL Policy Lab wishes to appoint a Project Network Coordinator to help draw together representatives of a vast array of community-based organisations currently innovating in public service reform. The Coordinator will support the project team to develop a core coalition to drive forward the work. The individual will work closely with both the UCL Policy Lab team, Demos and other project partners in the oversight and delivery of events that bring these organisations together so that they can share their experiences and expertise. The individual will also help oversee and coordinate the programme of high-level private workshops exploring the policy implications of these organisations' activities, providing extensive service support to attendees as well as supporting the project to build up a wide network of key stakeholders.

The individual will be crucial to designing and delivering a high-quality experience for the participants as well as ensuring that the dialogue builds overtime and its richness is fully captured and shared with senior stakeholders. The individual will also run the sessions and assist the Lab with both research and administrative support in the run up to the events.

The post holder will report directly to the Lab's Director but also work closely with the Policy Lab team.

Duties and responsibilities

• Work with Lab leadership to recruit members for a new network of community-led public service innovators from across the UK
• Support Lab and Demos leaders engagement with senior stakeholders in the national government and the opposition, as well as the local movement, to help share findings and drive political impact.
• Build relationships with the key individuals in this sector to understand their contributions and concerns and be able to share them with others
• Assist with the delivery of engaging collaborative workshops for members of this network and the project team.
• Conduct interviews with network members and draft policy briefs and memos for circulation to the broader network and the policy team.
• Track and report impact from the network for internal purposes, marketing and various evaluation processes (e.g., writing website content, newsletters and contributing to final reports)
• Work with the UCL Policy Lab team to help deliver operational support for the activities of the project, including: contributing to shared infrastructure and tools; working with the Communications and Engagement manager to deliver wider impact; working with the Team to co-ordinate delivering of world class policy events, including our party conference programme.
• Manage a front of house team at events including PhD students or equivalent on short term placements.

The Opportunity: Chief Executive Officer

This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of Oxfordshire’s sustainable food movement. As CEO, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering GFO’s strategic direction, strengthening our partnerships, raising funds and ensuring our work continues to drive meaningful change. You’ll lead a passionate team, represent GFO at the highest levels, and oversee the delivery of our flagship projects and campaigns.

This could be a full-time or part-time role; we believe in flexibility and welcome conversations about alternative working arrangements. The successful applicant will ideally be based within Oxfordshire and able to work from our Oxford office at least two days a week.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance strategic vision with operational oversight, stakeholder engagement, fund raising and team development.

Salary: In the region of £50,000 per annum, depending on experience (FTE)

This role could be full-time or part-time at 0.6 FTE for the right candidate. A 0.6 FTE role would have a salary of £30,000 per annum. We value work-life balance and are open to flexible arrangements.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leadership & Team Management
You’ll lead a small, passionate team with empathy and clarity, building on a culture that values collaboration, wellbeing, and purpose. Your role will be to guide, empower and support staff, ensuring they have the tools, confidence, and direction to thrive.

Strategic Direction & Governance
Working closely with the Board of Directors, you’ll shape and deliver GFO’s long-term strategy. You’ll ensure our vision remains bold and relevant, while adapting to new opportunities and challenges. You will also work closely with our Board, helping them stay engaged and informed.

Income Generation & Profile Raising
You’ll lead on fundraising and income generation. Whether securing grants, developing new revenue streams, or cultivating strategic partnerships, you’ll ensure GFO remains financially resilient. You’ll also be our main public voice, raising our profile across Oxfordshire and nationally, and advocating for a fairer food system.

Financial Management & Resource Planning
You’ll oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure GFO’s financial sustainability, balancing ambition with responsibility. This includes working with the team to make informed decisions about staffing, project delivery, and operational priorities. .

Programme Oversight
While you won’t be managing projects day-to-day, you’ll provide strategic oversight of our key initiatives—including OxFarmtoFork and our journey toward Sustainable Food Places Gold accreditation. You’ll ensure our programmes are well-resourced, aligned with our mission, and delivering meaningful impact across the county.

Community Wealth Building & Social Enterprise Support
You’ll champion inclusive economic models that empower communities and strengthen the local food system. Supporting social enterprises and community-led initiatives will be central to your work, helping build a food economy that’s fair, resilient, and locally rooted.

Stakeholder Engagement
You’ll nurture relationships with a wide range of stakeholders from senior contacts in local councils and national networks, to grassroots food groups and community partners. Your ability to listen, connect, and advocate will be key to building trust and driving collective action across sectors.

Job Purpose

The Communications and Content Officer supports the delivery of engaging and effective communications across Operation Smile UK’s channels. The postholder will create and coordinate content that raises awareness, supports fundraising, and strengthens the organisation’s profile in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Content creation and content management

• Working with the Senior Communications Manager, research, draft, and edit compelling content for the UK website, newsletters, and print materials.
• Support the reimagining of existing content to ensure messaging is fresh, relevant, and audience-led.
• Collate and maintain a library of case studies, stories, and assets for use across teams.
• Ensure brand voice and tone are consistently applied across all communications.

Digital and organic social media

• Develop and maintain a social media content calendar which supports our Communications Strategy and liaise with our Social Media Freelancer to plan and approve posts.
• Contribute to the delivery of multi-channel campaigns, liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers to create assets and meet deadlines.
• Assist with monitoring and reporting on content performance, identifying opportunities for growth and engagement.

Campaign coordination

• Support the planning and scheduling of communications campaigns like World Smile Day and advertising events like our annual carols concert.
• Manage feedback processes to ensure the timely delivery of content and materials.
• Act as the first point of contact for all content requests from across the organisation.

Administration and finance

• Collate quotes for expenditure and liaise with suppliers as required.
• Track invoices, ensuring coding is accurate and amounts match agreed quotes.
• Maintain organised systems for content workflows, approvals, and campaign schedules.

Monitoring and evaluation

• Gather engagement and performance metrics from all channels.
• Provide regular reports to the Senior Communications Manager.
• Suggest improvements to optimise performance and impact.

About the role
Working within a small team, you will be an imporant part of communications & marketing for a membership association supporting the vital work of neurologists across the UK. This varied and rewarding role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience, work in a small team and have the ability to shape the direction of communications strategy. This is an exciting time to join the ABN as we undertake a digital transformation project with a growing team. What's the role about?

You will be accountable for a functional specialism covering the main RSPB charity, its subsidiary companies, and connected entities. This high-impact role is responsible for leading the development and coordination, of our financial controls and compliance across the RSPB, providing detailed, insightful financial analysis that supports the delivery of the RSPB’s strategic objectives.

With income and expenditure of around £200m annually, and a new finance system covering financial operations and systems integrations, you will bring proven expertise in managing large volumes of transactions, managing financial controls, running audits, and dealing with complex tax and contracts issues, leading the Financial Operations, Financial Control and Finance systems teams.

You will be a finance professional who not only brings strong technical expertise and experience but also demonstrates a clear commitment to our values and a collaborative approach to leadership. You will have the credibility and emotional intelligence to influence, engage and build trusted relationships both across the organisation and with external partners.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Qualified accountant, with at least 5 years post qualified experience.
• Outstanding analytical skills to understand complex financial performance, see the underlying major issues and strong communication skills to convey this in a simple and powerful
• Excellent knowledge of financial standards ,UK GAAP (FRS102), IFRS.
• Proven leadership and people management skills, able to develop team members for high performance and build a positive culture
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present, influence and represent the functional specialism at all levels
• Collaboration skills to build partnerships, navigate politics and manage conflicts
• Business management skills to understand strategy, business functions and decision-making
• Ability to evaluate incomplete, complex and large volumes of financial information, to develop and consider a range of options and make a recommended course of action
• Proven ability to translate strategy into action, developing programmes, prioritising and leading change
• Highly competent user of Microsoft office in particular Excel

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

• Knowledge of the charity sector and the frameworks within which we work, including Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP)

• This role is home based with the requirement to regularly travel to our UKHQ in Sandy, Bedfordshire (expected to be once per month) plus occasional travel to other locations as required (overnight stays may be necessary).
