About Research Data Scotland 

We have some excellent data in Scotland, an excellent research community, and the ability to bring people together from Government, academia, industry and public bodies, to make real change happen. Working in partnership, we’re widening the range of data available, creating new data assets and providing a single point of contact for researchers to provide safe, secure and effective access to public data in a trustworthy manner.

Our focus is on providing a streamlined service for researchers, as well as extending the range of data available through the service, particularly in the areas of Covid-19, NHS imaging, geospatial data, children and justice services.

About the job

The Chief Data Officer is part of the RDS Leadership team, with responsibility for establishing and overseeing the range of programmes that source the portfolio of datasets available for use in research. They will lead a cross-functional team to develop and execute the tactics that broaden and maintain a collection of research data. They’ll work closely with senior leaders and colleagues across the public sector to drive system-wide operational efficiency and demonstrate trustworthiness in how data is used.

This is a senior leadership position and central to the delivery of a wide-ranging data transformation agenda. The Development Assistant is an essential part of the Cathedral’s fundraising function and provides important support to the team, streamlining processes, acting as a first point of contact and managing the fundraising database for the organisation.

As Development Assistant you will:

· Have fantastic communication skills and excellent customer service as the first point of contact for all enquiries and managing the Fundraising inbox.

· Enhance the development team through robust administration processes and providing essential administrative support across all income streams, including administering the Cathedral’s Planned Giving scheme.

· Work with the Finance team to efficiently manage payment processes and administration and ensure timely acknowledgement of gifts.

· Support excellent donor engagement and stewardship through thank you letters, mailings, creation of literature and event co-ordination and support.

· Assist collating information and co-ordinating regular supporter communications across different channels to inspire people and demonstrate the impact of support.

· Deepen supporter relationships through accurately recording all income and activities on the Cathedral’s CRM system. Maximise the effectiveness of the CRM and keeping records up to date. (We are currently reviewing our systems, and this role will be instrumental in supporting implementation of any new systems.)

· Assist in the preparation and analysis of data and reports for use by the wider team to support future plans and activity.

· Amplify the prospecting work of the team by undertaking preliminary research and preparing briefing materials, in consultation with members of the team.

· Showcase the work of the Cathedral through supporting event organisation.

· Be keen to develop your fundraising skills and undertake relevant training and skills development to keep up to date with the changing requirements of the role.

· Support the team through additional duties as reasonably required to assist the smooth and efficient running of the Development Team and maximise the impact of the fundraising function. Some weekend and out of hours working may be required.

As our Regional Technical Adviser – Climate Resilient WASH, you will ensure the high technical quality of our climate resilient WASH programmes in the region and work closely with Country Programmes, partners and stakeholders to drive sustainable change.

In this role, you will:

• Provide technical guidance, quality assurance and support to country programmes including for climate resilient WASH programming, system strengthening and the sustainability of WASH services.
• Implement capacity building initiatives to enhance competencies of staff, partners and stakeholders to deliver sustainable and climate resilient WASH programming.
• Build and strengthen strategic partnerships, the knowledge base and thought leadership in WASH and climate resilient programming through networking, knowledge sharing and advocacy.
• Support country programmes to integrate and prioritise WASH Climate Resilient measures in key national policies, strategies, and planning frameworks such as NAPs and NDCs.
• Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Extensive, relevant professional experience at a senior level in climate resilient, WASH-related programmes and policy advocacy for LMIC countries in rural, urban and climate affected contexts.
• Demonstrated experience in strengthening WASH systems and understanding of the WASH sector’s interaction with other systems such as climate change, health, urban planning.
• Excellent and up to date knowledge of technologies, approaches, technical standards and guidelines related to climate resilient and sustainable WASH relevant to South Asia and how to practically apply these to programming.
• Significant experience of working in a technical capacity at senior level in the South Asia region, preferably in at least one of the countries in which WaterAid operates.
• Willingness and ability to travel regionally, specifically to country programmes in Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan, and internationally (sometimes at short notice).

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• A chartered membership with a recognised professional association in a relevant technical field.
• Proven experience of stakeholder engagement that include government, private sector, and donors with high level of influencing skills.
• Good understanding and experience in National Adaptation Planning (NAP) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) revision and implementation, climate finance processes, modalities, and sources.

Job Purpose

This role plays a key part in the delivery of Operation Smile UK’s retention programme, generating income and retaining existing cash and regular giving donors. The Giving Engagement Officer (Retention) will support the Giving Engagement Manager to implement multi-channel (mail, telemarketing, web and email) donor retention campaigns, ensuring timely delivery, creative accuracy, and effective stakeholder coordination.

You will be responsible for managing campaign schedules, supporting the creative and data processes, and ensuring delivery partners are aligned. Key Responsibilities

Campaign Delivery & Coordination

· Deliver cultivation and retention campaigns, setting up and developing schedules in Asana and coordinating all required stakeholders.

· Manage timelines to ensure all activity is delivered on time and to plan.

· Compile campaign costs and track expenditure against budgets, flagging issues as they arise.

Creative, Data & Fulfilment Management

• Develop campaign briefs for creative, data output, print and fulfilment for review by internal teams and suppliers.
• Manage the creative sign-off process: collate feedback from stakeholders and ensure briefing accuracy to suppliers.
• Proof all campaign materials to maintain brand integrity and accuracy.

Digital & Email Communications

• Support the development of donor emails in line with agreed campaign structures.
• Coordinate the production and scheduling of email content in collaboration with the communications and data and tech team.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Compile campaign results for analysis and provide reports to inform future activity.
• Work closely with data teams to ensure appropriate segmentation and tracking.

Donor Stewardship

• Support the thank-you process, including personalising and developing donor thank-you cards as required.
• Contribute to improving supporter journeys and experiences through campaign touchpoints, especially for regular givers.

The Development Manager will play a critical role in developing and managing individual fundraising for the Cathedral with a particular focus on engaging and inspiring the Cathedral’s individual supporters, Major Donors and prospects with the work of the Cathedral, developing and implementing robust stewardship activity and undertaking and developing vital prospecting processes to support both priority projects and year round fundraising.

This role will line manage the Development Assistant.

As Development Manager you will:

· Lead on creating and developing the Individual Giving strategy for the Cathedral, in consultation with the Director of Development.

· Deepen relationships with existing supporters by developing and delivering an impactful stewardship framework for individual donors.

· Work in consultation with the marketing team to create inspiring and relevant communication strategy for individual supporters with a focus on impact, to include regular feedback mechanisms to improve stewardship plans and engagement.

· Build the financial resilience of the Cathedral through developing individual prospecting processes, prospect research, and developing qualified prospect pipelines to secure income from individual supporters and major donors. With an initial focus on the Vicars’ Close project and developing in line with future priorities.

· Work with the Director of Development to develop an inspiring range of bespoke cultivation plans for Major Donors.

· Design, deliver and support a range of unique events to inspire supporters and cultivate new relationships, bringing to life the extraordinary work of the Cathedral. Work across the cathedral to integrate fundraising into existing events and programmes.

· Achieve results through persuasive and compelling proposals for Major Donors and creation of robust budgets. Amplify project impact through inspiring reports and personalised engagement opportunities.

· Develop, manage and deliver Wells Cathedral’s individual giving programmes, including Planned Giving, regular inspiring appeals and individual giving opportunities as part of priority projects.

· Strengthen supporter relationships across the organisation, working with the Cathedral leadership team, Chapter and project leads to support engagement with individual donors and Major Donors.

· Develop and implement plans to keep existing donors engaged, with opportunities to increase their level of giving over time and in line with projects and targeted appeals.

· Regularly report progress to the Development Director and Cathedral Chapter on the individual giving income pipeline, supporter engagement, upcoming opportunities, and challenges.

· Keep up to date with trends and good practice and identify opportunities to improve and develop Wells Cathedral’s individual giving.

· Utilise CRM as an effective Relationship Management tool and develop robust prospecting processes.

· As the Cathedral’s Gift in Wills strategy develops, support engagement opportunities for individual supporters and develop appropriate processes to support this area.

· Network and keep abreast of the wider funding landscape and giving trends to inform the strategy.

· Support the team through additional duties as reasonably required to assist the smooth and efficient running of the Development Team and maximise the impact of the fundraising function. Some weekend and out of hours working may be required.

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

Overall job purpose

Our Health and Safety Officer will help us embed, maintain, and develop high standards of Health and Safety, across CCT’s estate and its people. They will work closely with our small Health and Safety Team to create, implement, and establish our Health and Safety policies and procedures, in accordance with current legislation. They will advocate for, and set an example around, best practice in Health and Safety.

Ideal role for a company accountant / bookkeeper (must be at least AAT qualified) to manage the day-to-day accounts, as well as to contribute to the wider operations of this highly successful education provider that runs schools and teacher training using the Montessori approach.

Specifically, as Finance and Operations Officer, reporting to the Head of Finance and Administration (HoFA), your remit will include:

• accounts receivable/payable, credit control, reconciliations, and audit preparation;
• providing financial and operational support to staff throughout the organisation;
• supporting HoFA to prepare and deliver accurate and regular management accounts, budgets and forecasts, one-off finance reports, and grant reporting;
• overseeing facilities management, ensuring the maintenance and security of all buildings;
• working with School and Training Centre staff to carry out risk assessments where appropriate and monitor all sites to ensure that they are carried out and comply with risk assessments; and
• overseeing Early Years Funding (EYF) for all school sites.

Key requirements include:

• AAT qualified or working towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)
