Summary of the position
Epic is looking for a Development Manager to support the activities of the UK Development Team to help us ‘make giving the norm’.
The Development Manager will work with the UK Director in our small team in the UK, as well as working closely with colleagues in Paris and Brussels.
This position offers candidates the opportunity to develop their skills across a range of fundraising disciplines including corporate fundraising, major donor engagement, events, and philanthropy.
This position will work with a deeply engaged team in an international environment. Given the versatile nature of the responsibilities and the small team size, candidates will need to show demonstrable flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to take ownership and work independently.

Key Responsibilities :
With support from the UK Director, the Development Manager will work collaboratively with the Director and wider UK team and Development colleagues in Paris and Brussels to execute the fundraising strategy in the UK. The Development Manager is a key role in a small team, and will contribute new ideas, networks and results to help us meet our income targets and therefore create more positive impact for children and young people globally. More specifically, the key responsibilities of this role are outlined below.
1. Business Development (65%)
- Lead prospect research and outreach efforts to expand Epic’s prospect donor pool in the UK: monitor the fundraising ecosystem, conduct in-depth prospect research and engage in proactive outreach campaigns through LinkedIn, emailing, digital networking and in-person events. This will include attending early morning and evening events as required.
- Set conversion objectives and support conversion from leads to donations
- Identify and secure lead opportunities within networks and events
- Pitch Epic and its various Giving Solutions to potential donors, and build tailored proposals when needed
- Maintain high discipline and consistency in follow-up with leads and donors: use Epic’s CRM to build a consistent pipeline of prospects, as well as maintaining the database with accurate and up to date donor information
- Evaluate and monitor the return on investment (ROI) of events and fundraising campaigns
- Prepare compelling fundraising communications, materials and presentations for donor meetings and events
2. Nurturing & engaging the UK Community (20%)
- Contribute to Epic’s engagement strategy for current donors to ensure an 80% renewal rate
- Maintain regular touchpoints with a subgroup of donors through activities such as sharing monitoring reports, organising project visits and volunteering opportunities in the UK, and scheduling regular calls and face to face meetings.
- Act as the main point of contact for a subset of donors and answer their enquiries in a timely manner
- Craft and manage engagement opportunities such as UK events and webinars, including drinks, talks, breakfast events, and provide support to the organisation for the annual gala nights. Support will be provided for certain events by our in-house dedicated Events team.
3. Fundraising-related administration (15%)
- Manage donor-related administrative tasks, such as regular use of Epic’s CRM (Salesforce), donation forms, meeting preparation, minutes (where applicable), and
- Process all donations, using Salesforce and related donation platforms, in a timely manner each month
- Liaise with international fund vehicles, such as Myriad USA, to ensure all international donation commitments are fulfilled.
Position Requirements :
- Candidate must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
- Excellent level of English (both spoken and written) required
- Proficiency in French (written and spoken) highly desirable
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales, fundraising or business development role, with demonstrable experience of securing 5- and 6-figure gifts
- Experience within the charity sector is desirable but not required
- Experience using software packages such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva and other applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to attend external events (including evening events) and comfortable networking with a variety of people across different communities
- Experience with a CRM is required and preferably some experience of using Salesforce
- Strong self-discipline and project management skills
- Excellent organisational skills and a strong eye for detail
The Epic UK team is a small but dedicated team. The role requires flexibility and a start-up attitude. This is a full time, permanent position, based in the London office with the opportunity for two remote working days each week. This role reports to the UK Director and will involve closely working with Epic’s global development team, as well as with the Engagement, Programs, Marketing and Communications, and Operations teams.
Contract Details
- Position based in central London (Mayfair), UK (with option to work from home 2 days per week).
- Contract type: Permanent, full-time
- Salary range: £35,000-£40,000 gross annual (depending on experience)
- Start date: As soon as possible but within 3 months of the offer

The Development Assistant is an essential part of the Cathedral’s fundraising function and provides important support to the team, streamlining processes, acting as a first point of contact and managing the fundraising database for the organisation.
As Development Assistant you will:
· Have fantastic communication skills and excellent customer service as the first point of contact for all enquiries and managing the Fundraising inbox.
· Enhance the development team through robust administration processes and providing essential administrative support across all income streams, including administering the Cathedral’s Planned Giving scheme.
· Work with the Finance team to efficiently manage payment processes and administration and ensure timely acknowledgement of gifts.
· Support excellent donor engagement and stewardship through thank you letters, mailings, creation of literature and event co-ordination and support.
· Assist collating information and co-ordinating regular supporter communications across different channels to inspire people and demonstrate the impact of support.
· Deepen supporter relationships through accurately recording all income and activities on the Cathedral’s CRM system. Maximise the effectiveness of the CRM and keeping records up to date. (We are currently reviewing our systems, and this role will be instrumental in supporting implementation of any new systems.)
· Assist in the preparation and analysis of data and reports for use by the wider team to support future plans and activity.
· Amplify the prospecting work of the team by undertaking preliminary research and preparing briefing materials, in consultation with members of the team.
· Showcase the work of the Cathedral through supporting event organisation.
· Be keen to develop your fundraising skills and undertake relevant training and skills development to keep up to date with the changing requirements of the role.
· Support the team through additional duties as reasonably required to assist the smooth and efficient running of the Development Team and maximise the impact of the fundraising function. Some weekend and out of hours working may be required.

Global Health Partnerships (GHP – formerly THET) is a global health charity working in partnership with governments, health institutions, and international bodies to train health workers and strengthen health systems across 31 countries. We do this through grants management and capacity building, alongside research, convening and advocacy towards the goal of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). At the centre of our approach, is the model of Health Partnerships, long-term relationships between UK and low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) health institutions, which improve health services through the reciprocal exchange of skills, knowledge, and experience. At the heart of our work is vision of a world where everyone has access to healthcare.
GHP is seeking a consultant to conduct a study examining the work of GHWP in Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria. The consultant will lead investigations into the benefits and impact of HP health systems and health workforce interventions under the DHSC-funded GHWP.
This study will explore and examine the value added of the Health Partnership approach to the health systems of the three partner countries. While the effectiveness and impact of health workforce and health system strengthening interventions have been highlighted through GHWP reports and sharing and learning events in each of the three countries, insights and results have not yet been sufficiently synthesised or documented in a way that supports advocacy, resource mobilisation and policy positioning.
This study will review and examine existing literature and data, including published and grey literature, GHWP reports, reports from other DHSC-funded GHP projects, and other available documentation on the benefits of the Health Partnership model (see Related Papers section). Some primary qualitative data collection and analysis may be required.
Contractual Responsibilities
Reports to: The Technical Director, based in the UK, who will provide technical oversight of the study. The Consultant will be responsible for managing their workload and conducting the activities in a timely and efficient manner as set out in this document. The Consultant will agree the specific focus areas for the study with the Technical Director and GHP team. The Consultant will also have regular reporting points with the Head of the Evidence and Impact Team and other GHP colleagues, as required.
The contract will run from August 2025 over a 4-month period. The Consultant will submit a technical proposal and budget of up to £20,000. The consultant will invoice GHP on a monthly basis. Please note that this is non-negotiable.

Qualifications and Experience:
· Postgraduate degree in Global Health, Public Health, Health Policy, International Development, or a related field.
· Proven experience in health systems and/or health workforce research or evaluation
· Understanding of the health partnership approach/mode, ideally involving countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, or Kenya.
· Familiarity with the health systems in Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya. Additionally, familiarity with the Health Partnership model and the UK’s global health engagement strategies is desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
· Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, including data collection, analysis, and synthesis.
· Ability to critically appraise and synthesise evidence from diverse sources (e.g., programme reports, academic literature, policy documents).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing reports, policy briefs, or academic publications.
· Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders, including policy makers, UN agencies, regulatory bodies, academic institutions, development partners, and health workers. Competence in using research tools and software (e.g., NVivo, SPSS, Excel, or data visualization platforms).

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Head of Fundraising will contribute to upReach's mission by meeting financial targets, recognising when to make the fundraising ‘ask’ and leading the annual budget process. FTWW is looking for a full-time Volunteer and Community Coordinator! The successful candidate will strengthen community activity by engaging with external stakeholders and members of the public, increasing our reach and volunteer numbers. We are looking to recruit an experienced individual with a strong background in financial management, strategic planning and operational management, to play a central role within our small but dynamic team. The role involves helping the organisation implement our strategic plan and ensure our financial sustainability, as well as developing and overseeing the smooth running of our internal systems and processes, including our governance.
This is a busy and varied role which involves working closely with the Executive Director and other senior staff, leading on all aspects of financial management, governance and HR, line managing Spotlight’s senior fundraiser, and helping with operational delivery and administration.
We are looking for an all-rounder with excellent financial skills, who will be able to support the implementation of Spotlight’s future growth and organisational development, ensuring we have in place the right policies and processes, help us meet our donors’ requirements, and trouble-shoot operational issues for our team.

Key responsibilities:
The Head of Finance and Operations will:

Ensure that senior management and the Board can make strategic decisions on budgeting and organisational development by providing strong advice on finance and governance

Maintain effective budgeting and financial management processes, manage our restricted and unrestricted funding, lead on the year-end accounts and ensure that we meet our statutory reporting requirements

Line manage Spotlight’s senior fundraiser and manage relationships with operational consultants (bookkeeper / payroll provider, IT provider and HR consultant)

Lead on the financial aspects of grant management including writing and monitoring project budgets, optimising grant terms and conditions for Spotlight, and contributing to our Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning processes

Support operational implementation across the organisation, including smooth day to day management of the administrative needs of the team

With the support of the HR consultant, ensure that key aspects of HR such as recruitment, induction, appraisals, staff development and pay reviews are conducted effectively and that Spotlight has in place and implements appropriate people policies

Person specification - Essential:

Previous work experience in a finance and operations management role, and an ability to apply it to a small charity like Spotlight

Demonstrable ability to produce appropriate organisational (£700k+) and project-level budgets, provide strategic financial analysis and advice, and oversee the meeting of statutory reporting requirements

Clear ability to manage and make the most of grant opportunities, including optimising grant application budgets, and managing restricted and unrestricted funds

Demonstrable ability to provide wide-ranging operational support including preparing and managing contracts

Experience of working closely with a Board on governance and strategic delivery

Proven track record of working across a range of finance and operations tasks in a busy and fast-moving environment

Working arrangements:
Full-time or 4 days a week (35 or 28 hours) subject to discussion with the suitable candidate. 30 days of annual leave plus public holidays (pro rata if part-time). Remote working from home required, with regular meetings in London. Flexible working, including a nine-day fortnight.

FSRH is the leader in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare, and we are the voice for healthcare professionals working at the frontline of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) in a range of settings in the community and primary care. Our members include SRH specialists, GPs, nurses, midwives and pharmacists. As a multi-disciplinary professional membership organisation, we set clinical guidance and standards, provide training and lifelong education, and champion safe and effective sexual and reproductive healthcare across the lifecourse for all.
FSRH’s External Affairs Team influences policy and practice through evidence-based advocacy as well as raising awareness of SRH rights among the public. The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual and Reproductive Health in the UK (APPG SRH) promotes awareness and understanding in Parliament of a range of issues relating to sexual and reproductive health across the life course (from menstruation to menopause and beyond). Backed by a passionate cohort of Parliamentarians and other stakeholders, the APPG is Co-Chaired by Dr Rupa Huq MP and Baroness Barker, supported by passionate Vice Chairs, Baroness Sugg and Maya Ellis MP.
About the role
This role plays an integral part in helping manage and develop the outputs of the External Affairs team, while advising on FSRH strategic issues. As the Senior Manager and Deputy to the Director in the team, you will manage the team’s External Affairs Officer, and drive delivery of the ambitions contained in FSRH’s Hatfield Vision. As Manager to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare you will work directly with leading Parliamentarians and partners to manage and deliver the APPG’s annual programme of work and meetings.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in healthcare policy and a passion for improving society. A background in policy, public affairs, campaigning, as well as proven project management and events experience is highly desirable. Excellent writing skills are essential, as is a broad understanding of communications techniques to engage policy makers around the issues that clinicians and the public alike face.
