The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join the team as an Events Officer, reporting directly to the Events Manager. You will support participants who have their own place in challenge events such as runs, walks and cycles as well as other third-party organised events.

Main duties will include:

• Providing effective support to the events team, contributing towards the ambitious five-year Community and Events team strategy.
• Carrying out research, updating event collateral and supporting the team with event organisation and delivery including on-the-day support.
• Providing engaging stewardship to event participants and lapsed supporters.
• Recruiting participants and delivering excellent stewardship for a variety of third-party challenge events, including skydives, walks, cycle rides and runs whilst meeting set income targets.  

The Person

We are looking for someone who has excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience in a customer service or client facing role. You must be confident with excellent attention to detail. We are also looking for a team player, who is experienced in working to targets and committed to delivering results. You will require the ability to juggle multiple projects, and be organised working on your own initiative. While experience in an events fundraising role would be advantageous, we are also keen to speak with people with events management experience and a sound knowledge of fundraising looking to develop a career in the charity sector.

Please note that this role will involve attending events in the evenings and weekends. You will be required to have a full UK driving license, and access to your own vehicle.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join the team as an Events Coordinator, reporting directly to the Events Manager. You will be responsible for the charity’s exciting and varied portfolio of events from challenges to Golf Days and Christmas Carol services, and will play a key role in delivering their ambitious plans.

Main duties will include:

• Delivering key running, challenge, and bespoke partnerships to achieve agreed income targets and KPIs within set budgets.
• Reviewing, evaluating and developing opportunities to successfully deliver and grow the events portfolio.
• Providing excellent stewardship to NWAA participants in events across the region.
• Retaining, growing and diversifying both new and existing NWAA supporters.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to deliver effective marketing and engagement.

The Person

We are looking for someone who has experience in event management, ideally within fundraising. While charity experience would be advantageous, we are also keen to speak with people with an existing knowledge of fundraising and the drive to further their career within a fundraising role. 

You should possess exceptional communication skills, and be able to inspire participation and fundraising within diverse audiences. This role requires tenacity, creativity, team work and a proactive positive attitude. It is a busy role so you will need to be organised, able to prioritise and work under pressure to make the most of opportunities. Experience in working to financial targets and database management are also essential.

What you'll do:
Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced healthcare profession/health related professional to join our existing team of Wellbeing Consultants embedded within established UK GenesisCare cancer treatment centres.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with patients, relatives, GenesisCare staff team and Wellbeing consultant team and the wider Penny Brohn UK organization. We are looking for a professional who can work in a flexible, proactive, intelligent, and creative way. Candidates should have experience of working within private or national health related services and have knowledge, experience/understanding of complementary therapies or other support services.

Key role considerations

• This role will involve working alongside our partner GenesisCare to ensure a holistic approach is taken in aspects of support and treatment.
• The bulk of the patient work is delivery of one-to-one sessions – completing holistic needs assessments, review appointments, consultations, mindfulness, and relaxation sessions.
• The Wellbeing Consultant is responsible for ensuring that patients and their relatives have a positive experience as they move through the Penny Brohn UK treatment support services at GenesisCare.

The Digital Officer will support the Communications team in creating innovative and engaging content and posting to social media channels to tell the story of ParalympicsGB and its athletes. The role will work closely with sports and athletes to facilitate filming opportunities and will assist in the delivery of branded content for commercial partners and key stakeholders.

The Digital Officer will also support programmes of activity which seek to fulfil the organisation’s vision ‘through Sport inspire a better world for disabled people’.

REPORTS TO:Digital Producer

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent

HOURS OF WORK: Such hours as are necessary to fulfil the duties. This will involve a minimum of 35 hours per week and include work in evenings and weekends as required.

LOCATION: Hybrid of London office and home based.  ParalympicsGB Office: 101 New Cavendish Street, W1W 6XH. Travel may also be required in the UK and abroad as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content creation

Develop and oversee production of content in our brand identity including video, graphics and photography for ParalympicsGB social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube).

Plan, shoot, edit, and publish high-quality, platform-specific vertical videos tailored to maximise organic reach and engagement with ParalympicsGB’s priority audiences: Young People, Disabled Community and Potential Allies.

Will also be required to support wider ParalympicsGB staff teams with the production of content for internal use on occasion.

Social Media Management

Assist the Digital Producer with the management of ParalympicsGB social media channels and when needed helping to post and schedule content in our tone of voice.

Contribute to monitoring social media channels for real-time trends and content opportunities to shape the team's narrative and engage with priority audience groups. 

Keeping up to date and aware of the latest news from sports and athletes.

Branded content

Work closely with the commercial team to align partner content with broader campaigns and ParalympicsGB’s content strategy.

 Website

Contributing to ParalympicsGB digital channels including copywriting, image and video editing including athlete biographies and sport information. Research of athlete personalities and interests to populate future content plans.

 CRM

Keeping an up-to-date record on the ParalympicsGB CRM system of athlete content appearances and all relevant information.

 Games-time

Working on location at the heart of the Paralympic Games as part of the communications team to support athletes, team members and media with the delivery of key communications objectives. Will support Content Producer with capturing engaging Games-time content for ParalympicsGB channels.

Connexional Worship Renewal Team Leader

London-Hybrid

Hybrid Working: Connexional Team staff based at Methodist Church House have a hybrid work pattern which is currently 2-3 days in the office.

We are offering a hugely exciting role to support Methodist worship renewal across The Connexion and to continue to enhance our wonderful communities of local preachers, worship leaders and musicians through the training and development programmes offered by The Methodist Church in Great Britain.

It is open to both ordained and lay Methodists alike.

In recognition of the centrality of the worshipping life of the Church to Our Calling as both Christians and Methodists, we are absolutely committed to effectively supporting (in theology, craft and with practical questions) all of those who lead worship. We also recognise the missional imperative for high-quality worship. Thus the holder of this post will lead a small team, whose aims are to:

• Empower all of those leading worship through support and development.
• Operationalise and manage the Worship Renewal stream of the Methodist Church in Britain’s God For All ambition and strategy.

This will include working strategically; embedding deep learning and practice; envisaging and developing exceptional training and resourcing for all those involved in worship leading; managing staff, workplans and budgets; and being responsible for the governance aspects which sit within this role.

Thus, we are looking for someone who is a gifted ‘crafter of worship’ and preacher, with deep sensitivity for Methodist worship in its varied traditions, passion for excellence in Methodist worship and creative strategic thinker. You will care deeply about the communities of people who lead Methodist worship, working alongside them to enable all to lead worship which contributes to flourishing Methodist churches. 

It is essential, therefore, that you are a presbyter, deacon or local preacher in The Methodist Church, have a deep understanding of Methodist – and wider – theology with an understanding of how to translate these for contemporary society. The team

The Ministries and Learning Team in which this role sits, is friendly, supportive, vibrant and passionate. Within this team, you will be line-managed by The Director of Ministry Development. The Team exists to equip the Methodist Church by training, developing and supporting those called by God to serve in lay and ordained ministry embedding the strategies which support the Church’s aspiration to be inclusive, justice seeking, evangelistic and growing.

The postholder will manage a small team and work widely with other teams, such as Evangelism and Growth, and across the wider Connexion.

About Now Teach 

Now Teach is at a pivotal time in its strategic journey, following a hugely successful media and bridging fundraising campaign that has raised over £3m in new income for 2024-2026 and achieved 32 media mentions (15 national) and 2.5m PR views. We are now seeking to significantly grow our donor base and fundraised income and therefore are looking to recruit to this new role. We are seeking someone who can support the Director of Philanthropy and Communications to deliver our strategy to increase income through the recruitment of new donors and enable and deliver work with our current funders (primarily individuals and trusts). You’ll be the person to ensure they have an amazing experience as supporters of Now Teach.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Role overview 

This role will be varied and offer lots of opportunities to get stuck into managing relationships with high value donors. Both the CEO, and the Director of Fundraising and Communications will work to steward the relationships with our donors in person, while this role will lead on delivering high-quality preparation, proposals, reporting, and data management that underpin donor relationships. You will also contribute to building connections across teams and aligning fundraising activities with Now Teach’s wider strategy. 

You’ll deliver exciting and engaging communications and events which inspire our donors to continue to support our cause, as well as be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting so we can give supporters a great sense of the impact their donations make. This role will work on a combination of externally facing and internal projects and tasks and will be a great way to advance your career in fundraising.

In this role you will…

• Create and maintain a stewardship calendar of content, reports, and events to engage our donors, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities. 

• Write and produce proposals and applications for funding from major donors and trusts, in collaboration with programme and recruitment teams, championing user-centred thinking by representing participant and school impact in fundraising materials. 

• Write and produce reports with in-depth detail of what we have achieved as a result of the funding from our donors

Main Purpose of Job

The Programme Coordinator – Careers, Events and Pathways is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of large scale employability events and progression initiatives for young people. These include careers fairs, widening and participation events and employer engagement activities designed to open access to real world opportunities. This role will lead events from planning and partner liaison to on-the-ground delivery and post-evaluation reporting.

The coordinator will work with employers, schools, colleges, and local authorities to co-create meaningful pathways for young people, ensuring activities are aligned with labour market needs and tailored to the aspirations of young people we are working with.

The coordinator will take a lead on developing and managing strategic partnerships with employers and external organisations to broker new opportunities and promote progression routes into education, employment or training.

Grounded in youth work values, the coordinator will offer mentoring, support, and guidance to help young people navigate their next steps, overcome barriers, and access the right pathway for their goals.

Responsibilities

Event Planning and programme delivery

• Design, plan and deliver high quality and innovative events and activities for the youth and employability programme offer. Lead on major events such as careers fairs, job fairs, employer panels, and large outreach opportunities, ensuring effective planning, logistics, and execution.
• Ensure all events and activities meet the needs of participants, align with programme and partner objectives, and are delivered to agreed deadlines.
• Lead on event and programme logistics including planning, external bookings and venue hire, facilitators, transport, resources, risk assessment and other associated logistics.
• Provide tailored events and activities for young people from vulnerable, underrepresented and NEET Groups.

• Deliver presentations, sessions and other events (e.g. assemblies, PSHE lessons, lunch time stalls, workshops, job fair) to primary and secondary schools, non-mainstream schools, colleges, and other organisations to engage young people.

Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including existing partners (e.g Worley, UK Youth), local professional organisations, schools and colleges, local authorities, and future key stakeholders as they come onboard.

• Work in partnership with stakeholders to co-design and deliver events, promote programme opportunities, recruit participants, and support youth progression.
• Seek out new opportunities in relation to employment and training to support young people progress on to positive pathways. Work with stakeholders to develop new initiatives and collaborative projects.

Youth Engagement and support

• Lead cohorts of young people through events and programmes. Supervise, take responsibility for the pastoral care, and ensure safety needs of the young people are always met.
• Engage and build positive relationships with young people to provide effective support, mentoring and coaching on a one-to-one and group basis where needed.
• Develop, implement, and lead on recruitment and engagement strategies to recruit and retain young people for events.

Monitoring and Evaluation

• Record and monitor programme, partner and participant data using the relevant CRM systems ensuring all data is kept up to date.
• Ensure all administration tasks are completed accurately and within allocated time scales including handling personal data, managing expenses, safeguarding reporting, and risk assessments.
• Achieve weekly and monthly targets as set out by the Senior Manager, or partner organisation/ funder and regularly provide reports and monitoring information.

Leadership and Team Collaboration

• Lead and support casual staff to deliver high quality programmes, providing regular feedback and embedding reflective practice.
• Support the Senior Manager in recruitment, training, and supervision of casual delivery staff.
• Attend regular supervision sessions, team & organisation meetings, and complete compulsory training to enable all duties to be carried out effectively.
• Deputise for the Senior Manager when appropriate. Fulfil any other reasonable duties and responsibilities considered appropriate by the Senior Manager
• Work closely with the Senior Manager, Coordinators, Youth Workers, Coaches and programme partners to support the young people on the programmes ensuring a united approach.

Safeguarding and Compliance

• Understand and comply with all policies and procedures in line with Trust and contractual responsibilities including the safeguarding of the young people, GDPR, health and safety and EDI.

• Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality, especially regarding individuals' personal details and concerns.
• Participate in training sessions related to safeguarding and emergency response.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, concerns, and actions taken.
• Report any safeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities or designated personnel.

The Selection Criteria

Essential

Qualifications and experience

1. Graduate degree level and or/ IAG Level 2 / Event Management and/or strong relevant experience (youth work, educational, community based, events, careers).
2. Demonstrable experience (at least 2 years) of working with young people and children to inspire, motivate and support them to positively engage in new opportunities and develop new skills.
3. Experience of leading, planning and delivering high-quality events and programmes for large groups (50/100+).
4. Experience and/or good knowledge of working in partnership with local businesses/ professional partners, schools, colleges, and universities, to develop employability and careers pathways initiatives.
5. Experience of effectively engaging young people from a wide range of backgrounds, including underrepresented groups (women and girls, ethnic minorities) and/ or, vulnerable groups (e.g. homeless, young carer, etc), and/ or those facing barriers to education, employment, or training.
6. A Safeguarding and First Aid qualification or willingness to complete training.

We're looking for an organised, confident and resilient Senior Information Governance Officer to join our Performance Team located at our Head Office in Islington.

£42,000.00 per annum, working 35 hours per week.

The role will be 7 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

We offer hybrid working with a minimum of two days per week based in the office.

What you'll do:
- Maintain and update the Look Ahead's Information Asset Register, RoPA and other key governance documentation.
- Support the Information Governance Manager in delivering the annual work programme and reporting to the Information Governance Group.
- Conduct audits and risk assessments of data processing activities and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
- Lead on the implementation and monitoring of information governance policies and procedures across the organisation.
- Monitor compliance with Look Ahead's IG policies and relevant legislation, escalating issues where necessary.

About you:
- Have effective communication skills and a positive approach
- Enjoy working as part of a small team but able to work on their own initiative
- Be willing to learn and keen to improve and embed robust IG processes throughout Look Ahead
- Be prepared to travel to different services to provide support and monitor compliance

Essential:
Skills
- Close attention to detail

- Effective communication skills

Experience
- Previous information governance experience
- Handling data subject requests and applying exemptions when appropriate
- Managing personal data breaches
- Supporting managers to complete DPIAs or legitimate interests' assessments
- Experience of dealing with complex and confidential issues
- Developing and delivering information governance training
- Maintaining accurate records and logs

Desirable:
Skills
- Data Protection Practitioner qualification
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Intermediate skills in MS Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
