About you

The ideal candidate will have experience in working in the charity sector on digital appeals and campaign delivery across digital fundraising and communications channels. A mix of digital content creation, analytics, scheduling and delivery skills are essential for this role. Paid digital advertising experience would be advantageous.

Retina UK is a national charity based in Buckingham that funds cutting edge research into inherited sight loss conditions and offers dedicated support and information to the thousands of people living with these conditions.

We are looking for the right person to support, develop and coordinate a variety of areas of activity within the Income Generation team.

Key responsibilities:

* Assist with the administration and stewardship of supporters across the various income areas and maintain and improve supporter retention and engagement. Areas to support with will include: Community Fundraising, Trading, Challenge Events, Lottery, Legacies and Major Donors.

* Provide an exemplary stewardship programme for existing supporters whilst also developing new ideas to engage new supporters.

* Utilise the charity database, carry out regular analysis, generate reports as requested, ensure records and folders are accurate and up to date and provide regular feedback to the Head of Income Generation.

* Conduct regular supporter research, as requested, to ensure Retina UK remains innovative with its fundraising activities.

* Ensure that our webpages are regularly updated with new events, ways of getting involved, photographs, case studies and impact quotes.

* Liaise with venues, supporters, exhibitors and attendees ahead of fundraising events and activities, including our Conferences, Sight Village and key challenge events, including London Marathon.

* Thank supporters in the appropriate manner and update and refresh supporter letter templates quarterly to effectively communicate the value of donor contributions. Mix up our thanking methods – calls, letters, emails – as appropriate.

* Take a proactive approach in guiding supporters and potential fundraisers on how they can be involved with Retina UK.  Offer clear advice on fundraising opportunities and ensure incoming enquiries are directed to relevant activities that align with their interests and needs, by staying up to date on our products and ways they get can involved.

* Work collaboratively to maintain an efficient and practical administrative process and arrange, attend and take minutes at Income Generation team meetings as and when required.

Key responsibilities

• Office and IT Management: Oversee day-to-day office operations and ensure a productive working environment, including office management and maintenance, supplies, IT systems, and coordination with external providers.
• Health and Safety: Conduct and support risk assessments, maintain incident reporting systems, and act as a trained fire warden and first aider (training provided), ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and audits.

Our client provides refuge and community based (outreach) support to adults and children who are experiencing domestic abuse. Their services include:

• Refuge (including both communal refuge and dispersed (Individual safe accommodation) which is offered to both women and men (dispersed only) with or without children who are fleeing domestic abuse.
• Community based outreach support working with women and men living in the local community who are living with the impact of domestic abuse.
• Specialist support for children who are of have experienced domestic abuse (both refuge and community based support are available).
   

The Role

No two days will be the same, so if you like variety this may be the ideal role for you!

As a Children’s worker, you will provide structured support to children, young people and their families who have experienced domestic abuse. You will be confident liaising with stakeholders eg. schools, social care. You will also be responsible for completing a healthy relationship programme of work, Safety Planning, and Signposting children and families to appropriate support.

You will be able to demonstrate working knowledge of safeguarding procedures for adults, children and responsibilities, in relation to information sharing including multi-agency working. In addition, you will be expected to effectively communicate sensitive and complex issues with a range of people and have the ability to manage your own case-load.

Requirements

You will recognise the impact domestic abuse can have on children, young people and their families, also have an understanding of risk assessing. In addition, the ideal candidates will:

• Be friendly, approachable, and flexible.

• Relevant numeracy and literacy qualification and knowledge of basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office packages)

The Role

Senior Finance Manager | £57,500 - £68,900 | Permanent | Fully Remote / Home Based

For the UK's largest not-for-profit social enterprise in the employment and social mobility sector, we are recruiting a Senior Finance Manager. This role will provide high quality financial information and analysis to senior managers and external stakeholders supporting decision-making. This is a highly commercial role, which is key in ensuring service quality is maximised, and financial performance targets are achieved. The Senior Finance Manager will lead a team of 4 and will suit someone happy to work fully remotely whilst developing excellent relationships across a large, multi-location organisation.

Main Duties:

• Budgeting and Cost Control - Lead divisional budget setting and forecasting process
• Coordinate monthly key variance summary in financial performance and KPIs for senior management and external funders and commissioners

• CCAB Qualified

• Experience of financial planning, costing, and option / investment appraisals

Advocacy Coordinator

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 depending on experience

Location: London (Hybrid - at least 2 days per week in the office)

We are seeking to recruit an Advocacy Coordinator to develop and coordinate the delivery of influencing strategies around the identified public policy and advocacy priorities of the Methodist Church and the Joint Public Issues Team. In recent years these have includes issues around poverty, refugees and migration, the environment, the economy, peace and conflict, and politics.

You would be working for the Methodist Church and as part of the ecumenical Joint Public Issues Team, which brings together the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches, plus associate partners, to work together for peace and justice. It does this through listening, learning, praying, speaking and acting on public policy issues.

You’ll need to bring experience of coordinating campaigns or advocacy initiatives, and a proven ability to build influential relationships and to convene and facilitate groups to enable decision-making and commitment to shared action. You’ll also need a good understanding of UK politics and of the context for public policy development, and to be a great communicator. While there is no requirement that you be a practicing Christian, you should be sympathetic to the mission of the Methodist Church, and share our commitment to seeking justice and to issues of equality, diversity and inclusion.

We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a LifeSupply Facilitator to join our passionate LifeSupply Team at Causeway. As LifeSupply Facilitator, you will play a vital role in distributing material assistance to service users at Causeway. 

You will assist the LifeSupply Coordinator in organising and fulfilling donations of useful items such as bedding, sim cards and clothing to our service users; whilst also assisting on the smooth fulfilment of the Glasspool grant. This includes ensuring trackers are organised, up to date and meet the requirements necessary, whilst liaising with advocates about their applications. 

A key part of the role will be working from the storage unit in Hillsborough, Sheffield, photographing and valuing incoming donations of stock, along with LifeSupply volunteers, to keep the LifeSupply platform up to date with donations for the service users to choose from. The role will be split 50% in the storage unit, physically packing orders, photographing donations and organising the space, and 50% laptop-based work, completing Glasspool applications, valuing donations and maintaining trackers, which can be conducted at home or in the office. 

You will contribute on improving service user’s access to material assistance during their time at Causeway. Your work will help ensure that every service user has access to items which will improve their quality of life, such as clothing and homeware, and bridge the poverty gap that they often face.

Responsibilities:

Storage Unit Based 

Facilitating donations of items from the moment the donation is offered to Causeway to the donation being distributed to a service user which includes: 

• arranging delivery or collection of the items, 
• counting and tracking the items, photographing the items,
• valuing the items, 
• adding them to the LifeSupply platform, 
• distributing them to a service user. 

Ensure that Health and Safety and GDPR procedures are followed whilst working in the storage unit and distributing the donations to service users 

Lone-working or working with volunteers in the storage unit

Laptop based

Facilitate the Glasspool grant by:

• processing applications, 
• liaising with advocates o discussing and problem-solving complex applications with the LifeSupply Coordinator to find the best approach 

Valuing items of stock in LifeSupply by following process and procedures to meet the requirements of the Auditors and the Finance team

Salary: Up to £34,260 per annum plus excellent benefits.
