We are seeking a fixed-term Grants Manager to join the Access to Justice Foundation through July 2026. The successful candidate will join us at a particularly exciting period of organisational growth and will support us to deliver on increased grant making activity. They will lead the day-to-day operational delivery of our grant making programmes – including overseeing systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective grant making and maintaining relationships with grantees, other funders, and key stakeholders as required. As a member of the Grants team, you will report to our Grants Director (who is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the Foundation’s grant programmes and who leads the Grants team). As Head of Digital, your core responsibilities will include:

Role Purpose

The Policy and Impact Team sits at the heart of Volunteering Matters. We play a vital role in demonstrating the impact of our work connecting data, qualitative insight, and lived experience to the policy agendas shaping communities across the UK. Through storytelling, analysis, and evidence, we make sure volunteering is recognised as a driving force for social change.

We are a small, hands-on team. You will be involved in every aspect of our work from desk-based research and writing briefings to organising external meetings and working directly in communities alongside our volunteers. This variety allows you to connect national policy with local realities and help volunteers share their voices where it matters most.

 You will help bring our five-year strategy to life by linking project outcomes to broader societal developments and showcasing the impact of volunteers and communities.

Key Duties Responsibilities

· Support the Head of Policy and Impact to coordinate Volunteering Matters’ policy and public affairs work.

· Support people involved with our volunteering projects to engage with local politicians, e.g. by organising visits to projects or meetings with volunteers. 

· Monitor and respond to opportunities (e.g. relevant government consultations, All-Party Parliamentary Group inquiries or Select Committee inquiries) that are relevant to Volunteering Matters’ priorities.

· Support mapping and research exercises to inform our policy positioning. Writing summary reports as needed.

· Collaborate with the National Volunteer Engagement Manager to support the inclusion of volunteer and community voices in our policy and public affairs work.

· Assist with collecting impact and activity data from across the charity and work with the Data Analyst to undertake analysis.

· Support with routine collection of quarterly data from projects - ensuring responses are timely and accurate, providing guidance to project managers as needed.

· Work with project staff to help create impactful and engaging reports.

· Represent Volunteering Matters at charity and volunteering policy-related groups. 

 Essential Skills

· Understanding of UK political systems and policy-making processes across national, devolved, and local levels.

· Understanding of policy, public affairs, or influencing, ideally within the voluntary or community sector.

· Confident communicator, able to engage with policymakers, sector partners, and community representatives.

· Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative data analysis to inform narrative reporting and strategic insight.

In Spring 2028, the National Gallery will launch a new, public-facing Research Centre to facilitate and showcase our world-leading research in the history, display, conservation, and science of painting. We are now recruiting for a new role, a Research Centre Manager, to support in the planning and daily delivery of an exceptional experience at the Research Centre. The role-holder will provide vital clarity and consistency in the day-to-day running of this multifaceted space to ensure a smoothly functioning whole, including coordinating all aspects of the Research Centre operations, managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the Research Centre facilities and administration.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Data Services, the Data Officer will meet data needs relating to the management and delivery of supporter and engagement products. You will work alongside three other Data Officers to assess, prioritise and provide solutions including the building of data selections and journeys for direct marketing purposes and the running of supporter data imports and exports.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering data selections, Building automated journeys for fundraising and engagement activity to support increased income generation and supporter retention, ensuring communications are delivered to agreed Service Level Agreements.

About You

Our main area of focus is the elimination of schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminthiases (intestinal worms). Endemic infections of these parasitic worms are found in some of the world’s most marginalised communities, and they can have a hugely detrimental effect on individuals, including:

• Reduced productivity
• Internal organ damage
• Impaired child development
• Reduced school attendance
• Increased risk of HIV in women
• Infertility

 
Unlimit Health is a UK-based not-for-profit organisation that partners with Ministries of Health across sub-Saharan Africa to design and deliver evidence-based programmes to control and eliminate schistosomiasis, one of the world's most neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). Our work supports country ownership and strengthens national health systems to achieve long-term, sustainable impact.

The role
 
This is an opportunity for an experienced trust fundraiser to supercharge Unlimit Health’s trust and foundations income stream through updating and expanding the trust and foundations pipeline, qualifying new potential donors and making initial approaches and funding applications. You will help to secure a modest new business income target for the year 25/26 and lay the foundations for further expansion of the income stream in 26/27 and beyond.
 
You will be well organised and have excellent research and communication skills, with the tact and tenacity to establish and maintain productive relations with funding organisations of different kinds.

Position Title: Helpline Advisor

Role Purpose:

The Helpline Advisor will be the first point of contact for individuals reporting incidents of anti-Muslim hate. The role requires delivering empathetic, confidential, and high-quality support to callers, as well as accurately recording reports and ensuring all relevant procedures are followed.

Helpline Advisors will support service users via multiple channels—phone, email, SMS, online chat and web form, by listening actively, offering appropriate information, and making referrals to specialist services where required. They will work closely with the Helpline Supervisor and participate in debriefs and reflective practice after each shift or reported incident.

Advisors will also play an important role in ensuring accurate data capture, safeguarding procedures, and upholding the values of compassion, non-judgement, and confidentiality.

Role Responsibilities: 

• Answer incoming calls from victims of hate crime with empathy and professionalism.
   

• Provide support to service users using a variety of methods, including telephone, email, SMS, online chat, online forms, and other written reports.
   

• Provide clear, appropriate advice, support, and information to service users, using a non-judgemental and person-centred approach.
   

• Keep accurate, detailed electronic records of each contact, including advice given, support offered, and agreed referrals.
   

• Understand when it is necessary to seek support from more experienced colleagues or external agencies and take appropriate action.
   

• Make referrals to other agencies when necessary, including child and adult protection concerns, on the advice of senior staff.
   

• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with data protection and safeguarding policies.
   

• Engage sensitively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those who may be distressed, traumatised, or in crisis (trauma-informed approach)
