About Sister System 

Founded in 2018, Sister System is a charitable organisation and an Open College Network (OCN) approved centre dedicated to empowering girls and young women aged 13-24 affected by the care system.

Our approach is co-designed with care-affected young women and girls to ensure that their lived experiences continue to drive meaningful change and shape our progression. Built on proven therapeutic models, our long-term mentoring, accredited qualifications, and leadership development programmes strengthen resilience, confidence, and essential life skills.

Our model seeks to break intergenerational cycles by equipping young women with the tools to thrive and lead change. Through a strong sense of community, peer networks, and trusted adult relationships, we create clear pathways into education, employment, and socio-economic stability, supporting a life free from abuse. 

Throughout her journey with Sister System, each girl participates in weekly one-to-one and group sessions focused on self-education and personal growth. These sessions explore the social and emotional transition to womanhood while building a supportive network of “sisters” who continue to empower one another during key life transitions. Our programmes are accessible to girls and young women at any stage of educational attainment, enabling all Sis-Stars to learn, grow, and thrive. 

Our strategy 

We are one year into our 2024-2027 strategy to set Sister System on a path to scale our reach and impact. We have bold ambitions to scale across London and beyond. We have been building our organisational resilience, the quality of our programmes and robust systems to collect data and measure our impact. We are looking for a new Director of Fundraising who can bring in income from multiple sources to support our sustainable growth. 

Director of Fundraising - role details

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year fundraising strategy that encompasses diverse income streams, working collaboratively with senior leadership to coordinate efforts and maintain an up-to-date fundraising pipeline.

• Steward high-value relationships with trusts, foundations, and corporate partners while leading grant applications and proposals for six-figure funding opportunities.

• Strategically position Sister System for statutory funding by identifying government contract opportunities and ensuring the organisation remains competitive for local authority and national funding programmes.

• Oversee critical systems and processes including financial reporting, grant management cycles, board reporting, and line management duties while serving as an external ambassador for the organisation 

• Line manage a small fundraising team 

Essential Skills, knowledge, and behaviours: 

• Proven track record of developing and delivering successful fundraising strategies at a senior level. 

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding income targets across multiple income streams. 

• Experience managing multiple income streams, including statutory income, individual, corporate, and grant fundraising 

• Strong leadership and people management skills with experience of developing high-performing teams 

• Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders

About the role:

Milton House is a 15-bed mixed-gender accommodation service in Islington, supporting adults facing multiple and complex challenges. With a small and dedicated staff team, we provide tailored casework to residents whose needs may include mental or physical health issues, substance use, histories of offending, or support with living skills and wider aspirations. Our aim is to create a safe, welcoming and well-managed environment where people can build stability and take positive steps towards independent living.

You'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the service, balancing housing management responsibilities with maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness. Each day you will carry out a thorough clean of the building, including communal areas, bathrooms and offices, helping to create a space where residents and staff feel respected and supported. You will also act as the first point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors, support stock control, uphold health and safety compliance, and assist with practical housing management. Alongside this, you will contribute to the wraparound support we provide, helping residents to keep appointments, manage their budgets and develop the skills they need for greater independence.

We are seeking an excellent communicator and strategic fundraiser who is creative, resilient, and highly motivated. The Head of Philanthropy will play a key role in shaping and delivering sustainable income growth through individual giving, and major donor engagement—ensuring our work is resourced for the long term.

The post-holder will report to the Strategic Director of Fundraising & Development, deputising as required, and will line manage the Development Administrator. This role is predominantly based at Leeds Playhouse with some scope for hybrid working, complementing the Strategic Director role (a part-time role, mostly working remotely).

This is a permanent, full time contract. We would like to fill a requirement for 35 hours per week, which is full-time for this role, with some flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required. However, we are open to hearing from people interested in part-time work or job sharing. Pay for the role is £35,700 per year based on 35 hours per week.

Fundraising & Income Generation

· Develop and deliver engaging fundraising campaigns and activities for community groups, individuals, and businesses to support our shared mission

· Prepare compelling partnership proposals, impact reports, and presentations tailored to potential and existing partners

Communications & Administration

· Work closely with the Marketing & Communications team to promote fundraising campaigns through digital, print, and social media channels

· Maintain accurate supporter records and track income and engagement using our CRM system

· Ensure all fundraising activity is compliant with GDPR, fundraising regulations, and reflects The Carers’ Centre’s values

General

About You

You are a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with proven administrative experience in a fast-paced environment. About the role:  

We are looking for a very confident, outgoing go-getter who loves using their gregarious personality to influence and enthuse people to get results but also enjoys being organised with strong admin processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has been involved in influencing organisations, businesses and groups or individuals to organise range of fundraising events, such as gaming, auctions, quizzes, gigs. You will be a part of a small but dynamic marketing and fundraising team and working with an Events and Engagement Officer.

This is a critical role for generating essential funds for the charity. You will love a challenge and be goal orientated. It is a varied role, and you will be someone who loves to multitask; you may be emailing supporters or potential fundraisers, making action plans, promoting, contacting organisations, or attending and speaking at events. You will thrive in this role if you love being organised and doing admin, but love being “out and about” interacting, influencing and motivating people to fundraise for us. Please note that you will need to carry, load up and set-up event materials from our office to events, often on your own. It is essential you have access to transport and must have a full, clean driving licence. • Support and steward existing fundraisers and supporters, helping them maximise their impact by generating income/ donations through organising their own events

• Be in commutable distance of Brighton, so you can come into the head office when required to send out merchandise, collect marketing collateral (including banners, posters, leaflets) to take to events.

Responsibilities 

Research & Proposal Writing 

• Conduct research into potential trusts and foundations and corporate partners, including horizon scanning reports. 

• Update databases with funding opportunities relevant to Earthwatch’s projects.

Individual Giving & Partnerships 

• Support the Individual Giving Manager with campaigns including direct debits, one-off donations, marathon fundraising, and legacies. 

• Assist the Partnership Development Manager with research and building strategic relationships with local authorities and project sites. 

CRM & Administration 

• Maintain and update contact records in our CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics 365). 

• Respond to emails in the Fundraising and Development inboxes. 

• Monitor and report on team progress against objectives and KPIs. 

• Provide general administrative support to the Income Generation team. 

Collaboration & Communication 

• Build strong relationships internally to understand Earthwatch’s work and articulate it in compelling cases for support. 

• Work with colleagues to ensure funder requirements are met. 

• Identify and promote stories and case studies that demonstrate impact.

About the Role

The work of the Prospect Research Team drives the fundraising activities of the University, by providing insights to build relationships with new and existing high-value supporters (individuals, corporations and foundations).

About the Programme

The Schools Triathlon is a fun, mass participation sporting event for 7–13 year olds. Its mission? To get more young people moving, having fun, and discovering the power of fundraising. In 2025, over 10,000 young people took part in 12 events, raising an incredible £1.5 million for Restless Development and local charities. Since it began, the Schools Triathlon has raised over £5 million—making it our flagship fundraising event.

About the Role

This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for anyone looking to kickstart their career in fundraising and events management. As our Assistant Fundraising Events Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in Restless Development’s close-knit fundraising team, helping to deliver our flagship events — the Schools Triathlon.

You’ll gain hands-on experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including our volunteer Schools Triathlon Committee, schools, pupils, parents, and event delivery partners. A big part of your role will involve delivering fun and engaging school assemblies, encouraging pupils to take part and fundraise for Restless Development.

Alongside this outward-facing work, you’ll provide essential administrative and operational support behind the scenes. This will include managing participant data in Excel, Eventrac, and Salesforce; uploading and running reports; processing donations (including cash and cheques); and ensuring our records are accurate and up to date.

You’ll also be the first point of contact for event participants and their families, providing warm, professional support through email and phone queries.

We’re looking for someone who thrives on variety, can juggle multiple tasks, and stays calm under pressure. You’ll be highly organised, detail-focused, and self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems and processes (30%) 

• Manage the assembly tracker to ensure it is kept up to date, with relevant members of the team notified when new assemblies are booked in
• Maintain accurate records across our registration platform (Eventrac), our CRM system (Salesforce) and Excel, including registrations, fundraising data, and supporter information.
• Monitor and track fundraising progress for over 11,000 participants, encouraging and supporting them to reach their goals.
• Manage JustGiving pages, ensuring all fundraising activity is accurately logged.
• Liaise with Finance to process donations (online, offline, and cheques), allocate income correctly, and thank supporters promptly.
• Support with the merchandise and fulfillment process 
• Occasional website updates.

Fundraising and relationship management (30%)

• Be the first point of contact for schools, parents, and participants via the Schools Triathlon inbox.
• Book and coordinate school assemblies, and deliver assemblies or fundraising workshops.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, pupils, and parents, thanking and supporting them throughout their fundraising journey.
• Provide admin support to the Restless Development US Board, including coordinating quarterly meetings.
• Attend meetings with third party suppliers and schools when necessary
• Support on wider charity initiatives as and when needed

Event management and Communications (30%) 

• Support the planning and delivery of two Schools Triathlon events, including site visits, logistics, and on-the-day support.
• Coordinate event communications, including assembly slides, parent invites, and regular registration reports.
• Work collaboratively with the Schools Triathlon team to ensure smooth delivery of all events.

Others (10%) 

• Support the Senior Fundraising Manager with developing an individual giving process.
• Attend Schools Triathlon events (April–June) and occasional evening/weekend work for which Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) will be provided.
• Regular travel to schools is required, so access to a reliable vehicle is essential (travel costs will be reimbursed).
• Carry out any other duties as required to support the fundraising team.

About the Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative and organised Events & Fundraising Officer to join our small, dedicated team. Working closely with the rest of the Events & Fundraising team, you’ll help deliver and grow LLST’s fundraising events across London and the South East, including the London Legal Walk, Regional Legal Walks, Great Legal Bake, and Great Legal Quiz, as well as manage our third party challenge events.
