The Role - Volunteer Content and Donor Communication Specialists
JOB PURPOSE
This role exists to:
• Craft and manage communications for donors, stakeholders, and the wider community
• Translate survivor-led stories and CIC activities into impactful messaging

Develop clear, engaging, and accurate copy for all donor and community communications, including: Emails and newsletters, Fundraising campaign materials, Donor updates and acknowledgements andEvent promotions and volunteer communications.
Maintain a consistent organisational voice and messaging across all communication channels.
Collaborate with the Fundraising Director to ensure content aligns with campaign goals, donor engagement strategies, and organisational priorities.

Track donor engagement, feedback, and responses to communications to identify patterns and refine messaging for maximum impact.
Support segmentation, personalisation, and targeting of communications to ensure relevance and donor retention.

Millimetres 2 Mountains Foundation (M2M) is a charity dedicated to helping individuals rebuild their lives after experiencing physical or emotional trauma. Founded by former professional rugby player Ed Jackson and his wife, Lois, following Ed’s life-changing spinal injury, M2M uses the power of adventure, nature, and community to support people on their journey of recovery.
At the heart of the charity lies the M2M Development Programme - a bespoke, holistic support system tailored to each beneficiary’s unique recovery journey. Guided by our ‘inch-wide, mile-deep’ philosophy, we focus on depth of impact over scale, ensuring each person receives the tools, encouragement, and care needed to create life-long change. This includes access to grants for physiotherapy, psychotherapy, job retraining, and any other support essential to their growth. Everyone is met exactly where they are, with a personalised plan that reflects their goals, challenges, and potential.
Alongside our core programmes, M2M runs Together Outdoors - a community-based initiative that harnesses the healing power of nature and connection through mental health walks led by trained volunteers and Life Coaches, offering safe, inclusive spaces for honest conversation, emotional support, and personal growth. Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Tracking & Performance Monitoring
Develop and maintain centralized tracking systems (e.g., Google Sheets)
Monitor key operational metrics across departments, including:
Volunteer recruitment and onboarding timelines
Task completion rates across teams
Program and project delivery timelines
Ensure data is accurate, up-to-date and consistently maintained
2. Reporting & Insights
Prepare weekly or bi-weekly operational reports for leadership
Clearly highlight:
Performance trends
Delays and inefficiencies
Areas requiring attention
Translate raw data into clear, actionable insights
3. Process Analysis & Mapping
Document and map existing workflows across functions (HR, Programs, Operations, Teams, etc.)
Identify:
Bottlenecks
Redundant steps
Communication breakdowns
Provide structured recommendations for process improvement
4. Risk Identification & Escalation
Proactively flag:
Missed deadlines
Workflow delays
Inactive or unresponsive team members
Escalate findings to the Operations Manager with supporting data and context
5. Systems & Process Optimization
Recommend improvements such as:
Workflow restructuring
Automation opportunities
Standardized templates and tracking systems
Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of existing systems and suggest refinements
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
HR Team (for recruitment and onboarding tracking)
Team Leads (for task and performance tracking)
Operations Coordinator / Executive Assistants (for workflow visibility)
Ensure alignment between data insights and operational execution
