We are looking for a Senior Philanthropy Manager to join our Fundraising team.
Title: Senior Philanthropy Manager
Salary: £48,000 per annum
Contract: 12 months fixed term maternity cover
Hours: 35 per week (full time)

The Senior Philanthropy Manager is a crucial role, responsible for driving high-value income growth through managing and growing a portfolio of Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations to fundraise for a breadth of inspiring projects and areas of work.
This role has line management responsibility for an experienced and talented Philanthropy Officer who manages their own portfolio of mid-value Trusts and Major Donors. As Network Stock & Logistics Manager, you will take a network-wide view of all stock and logistics. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, supplier relationships, continuous improvement initiatives, and strategic planning. This will include both the inbound and outbound movement of stock, as well as London-wide logistics infrastructure and contracts. You will work closely with the warehouse team on stock levels, policies and procedures, as well as with hub teams to have a complete picture of network stock levels and needs, in order to make efficiencies, improve stock flow and engage with the community.
The successful candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: logistics, retail, procurement, community engagement, and will be a confident and articulate person, who enjoys engaging with stakeholders from all backgrounds, whether it is a school or religious group, large corporate partner or individual donor. You must be practical and well-organised, happy reorganising a spreadsheet of stock items and must be a keen problem solver and strong team player.

Over the last five years, the Philanthropy team has gone from strength to strength, and we are now laying the foundations for long-term growth. We are building the tools, vision, and expertise to drive philanthropic income at Pancreatic Cancer UK and the Senior Philanthropy Manager is a key role in helping us deliver on our mission to double survival rates of pancreatic cancer by growing major donor income.
This role is responsible for delivering on three key areas of the major donor programme:
-Managing and growing a portfolio of major donor and high value supporters. Specifically focusing on encouraging and making the ask for long-term, multi-year 5-6 figure gifts.
-Driving major donor new business activity to build a sustainable pipeline using internal data analysis tools alongside network mapping exercises.
-Working collaboratively across the team to provide tailored stewardship journeys and experiences which build meaningful relationships with our closest supporters and demonstrate the impact of their support on our mission.

Your Role:
As our Development Manager (Trusts and Foundations), you will play a pivotal role in securing vital funding for our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving growth of Trusts and Foundations income, supporting both unrestricted income and major projects.
- Managing a personal portfolio of funders, nurturing relationships and pitching proposals.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop compelling funding applications.
- Building lasting relationships with funders to establish multi-year income opportunities.
- Leading the prospecting process and expanding our network of supporters.

Your Essential Criteria:
- Significant experience in trusts and foundations fundraising.
- Proven success in securing grants at the five-figure level.
- Sound understanding of trusts and foundations interests and methods.
- Strong IT skills, including fundraising databases and MS Office packages.
- Ability to work effectively within a small team.

The Operations and Business Development Lead will play an important role in overseeing effective organisational service delivery and working closely with the CEO to develop the role of the charity within Surrey and beyond. The role requires overseeing delivery of key projects, managing a small team of staff and volunteers, developing long-term business plans and curating relationships with new partners and funders to ensure Include has the resilience to deliver against its mission into the future.
As OBD Lead, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team working with the CEO, Finance & Data Lead, Communications & Partnerships Lead & Clinical Lead to develop and deliver Include’s core services and processes, with an eye for sustainability, impact and long-term growth.
This is a hybrid role. You will be asked to assist at events or performances, in addition to regularly attending sessions and meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Develop, support, and improve service delivery of key activities
- Review and improve impact measurement processes
- Review and improve policies and procedures
- Review and improve governance frameworks
- Manage a team of staff and chair meetings
- Support with HR functions and structural
- Prepare and create reports for the benefit of CEO and board of trustees
Business Development and Fundraising
- Develop new relationships to improve the profile and reach of the charity
- Support the fundraising team with grant applications, community fundraising, donor management or corporate support as required
- Identify new revenue streams and opportunities
- Oversee, develop and support the funding strategy to ensure financial resilience
- Develop and update the organisation’s business plan
- Work with the senior leadership team to set achievable KPIs

Event Management
- Manage and coordinate Include events
- Evaluate event delivery and ROI
Volunteer Coordination
- Oversee and support volunteer recruitment including supported volunteers

We are looking for a Philanthropy Manager for an 18 month contract, to join an inspiring health charity to identify, engage and steward a mix of cold and warm philanthropists, senior volunteers and prospects.
This is a London based hybrid role with flexible home working options.
The Charity
A passionate health charity focused on funding world-leading research and campaigning for peoples rights, with an ultimate goal of finding treatments for everyone. They have a wonderful, collaborative and supportive working culture with a staff of c270 people, securing c28m last year.

The Role
Deliver the teams business plan and contribute to the achievement of strategic aims and priorities
Lead on raising income through account management of an appropriate portfolio of individuals
Manage three Philanthropy Officers, overseeing performance and development
Lead on building, updating and generating a portfolio of philanthropists and pipeline to raise philanthropy income
The Candidate
Working knowledge of the principles of high value / major gift / philanthropy fundraising
Extensive experience of personally securing five and six figure major gifts from individuals in a charity environment.
Experience of creating successful bespoke proposals or asks for philanthropists or other potential high value donors.
Experience leading and managing fundraising staff.
