To provide safety planning, support, advice and assistance to children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse and are staying in the refuge.

The work will focus on preventing domestic abuse by providing support and facilitating safe space for children and young people and peer support networks in the refuge and supporting children and young people to keep safe in/maintain their refuge accommodation

The post-holder will work to empower and support children to make positive choices.

To establish resettlement services to support women and children to move on from refuge accommodation.

The post-holder work as part of the refuge team, with clients who live in the refuge after being referred via the Front Door Service.

To participate in the delivery of the on-call out of hours service on a rota basis.

Key responsibilities:

One-to-one support

You will provide intensive one-to-one support bespoke to kinship carers and their families over a six-month intervention, working within the Kinship Connected delivery model. This may include, but is not limited to:

· Practical and emotional support to kinship carers virtually or in-person in their home or community.

· Signposting or referring to relevant national and local services.

· Liaising with other professionals and organisations.

· Attending professional meetings when the carer needs extra support (e.g. CIN. CP, family group conference, school meetings).

· Making referrals to other Kinship services such as Advice, Someone Like Me, Peer-to-Peer.

· Signposting carers to secure grants from local and national funders.

· Setting goals for change following Kinship Connected processes, in partnership with the kinship carer.

· Monitor, review and revise these goals to ensure carers are on track and goals remain relevant and as part of the ‘closing’ process as the carers complete the intervention.

Peer group facilitation and management

You will be responsible for planning, organising, facilitating peer support groups for kinship carers in your area, working in line with the Kinship Connected delivery model.  This will involve:

· Developing existing groups and setting up new groups as required.

· Working closely with Kinship’s peer-to-peer service where appropriate.

· Collaborating with kinship carers, the local authority, and community partners to set up virtual and in-person support groups in your commissioned area.

· Planning, preparing, facilitating virtual and in-person support groups.

· Promoting groups in the local area to kinship carers and organisations who work with them, including contributing to the creation of promotional materials.

Participation

· According to Kinship’s Volunteering policy and other related policies, support kinship carers to engage with opportunities such as volunteering in virtual and in-person support groups.

· Work proactively to enable kinship carers to influence the design and delivery of the peer support groups delivered in their area (such as topics, time / date, location).

· Support Kinship’s communications and engagement strategy by providing case studies and sourcing images for newsletters and local media to promote the programme.

Safeguarding and risk management

Kinship has a robust safeguarding structure. You will be supported by a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Designated Deputy Safeguarding Leads (DDSL).

· Recognise and respond appropriately to signs of abuse or neglect, following national legislation and procedures and Kinship’s own safeguarding procedures.

· Liaise with your line manager and safeguarding lead regarding safeguarding concerns, following Kinship’s policies and processes.

· Provide updates and information for managers about cases of concern.

· Complete risk assessments for events or groups with families in line with Kinship’s policies and processes to be signed off by a DSL or DDSL.

· Follow Kinship’s health and safety policies to keep yourself and your clients safe, such as Lone Working Policy, Home Visit Policy and other relevant policies.

Monitoring and Evaluation

· Ensure casework, attendance, feedback, and other data related to service delivery are regularly and accurately recorded on our Salesforce database in line with Kinship’s policy and best practice.

· Ensure completion of carer registration forms, review forms, and closure forms, taking details that will be used to evidence impact.

· Collect case studies from your kinship carers to help demonstrate impact.

· Contribute to any reports for local authority partners as required with data and case studies.

· Attend monitoring meetings as required.

· Engage in quality assurance processes in line with ongoing programme development.

Relationship and stakeholder management  

· In partnership with the Senior Project Worker, enable local authorities to understand the programme and pathways for how to make referrals.

· Support practitioners' meetings with local authorities to encourage referrals, discuss cases, and ensure local authority confidence in the programme.

· Where applicable, work with local authorities to raise awareness of kinship care and to reach and support kinship carers through the programme.

· Where possible and relevant, represent Kinship at external events and meetings to raise awareness of the programme and to influence other organisations.

General duties and tasks

· To attend and engage with team and general staff meetings.

· To personally prepare for and attend case reviews, one-to-ones and appraisals with your line manager.

· To act at all times in the best interest of Kinship.

· To participate in the induction of new staff members and volunteers.

· To work with line manager to identify own training needs and undertake training and development.

· To engage in reflective practice, using opportunities for supervision and professional development as appropriate.

· Deputise for the Senior Project Worker as needed such as internal meetings or external meetings and events.

· Participate in opportunities provided by Kinship to develop your skills and knowledge such as staff training, ‘Lunch and learn’ sessions.

· To carry out other related duties as may from time to time be required to fulfil the mission of the team and organisation.

· To develop Kinship Care Week in your local area.

· Be willing to travel across England as necessary to attend events and raise the profile of the service and kinship care.

The role

The Customer Support Executive role is responsible for assisting both internal and external stakeholders through out every action taken. This role is required to have in depth knowledge of all FareShare Go, and FareShare Uk’s policies and procedures, our various systems and platforms, excellent communication and analytical skills and a can-do attitude. The Customer Support Executive is the face of FareShare to our partner organisations, answering inbound queries to identify not only the issue but the root cause of the problem, and are responsible for seeing this through until the underlying cause has either been resolved or escalated to a stakeholder to investigate. This role goes beyond looking at these issues on a case-by-case basis, being responsible for highlighting trends across the issues that come across the support teams' desk to identify overarching themes and suggesting improvements to address these. Relationship management underpins every action carried out throughout the day, be it customer, stakeholder, or colleague facing to ensure that we are providing the best possible service we can. This can take many forms, from complaint handling with our customers when there is a retailer issue, expectation management when there is a customer misunderstanding, conflict resolution between our customers and/or retailers, to ensuring that all our records are detailed, up to date and inclusive of all information needed for our colleagues to carry out their role. Main areas of responsibility

Resolving support issues

• Working with our charities to maintain seamless high quality support, including solving issues as they arise, and escalating to appropriate stakeholders.

Charity compliance

• Managing all charity compliance workstreams for one of four FSGo Regions through effective reporting, analysis, communication and intervention with charities to achieve agreed KPIs

 Effective use of CRM

• Understanding and using a Customer Relationship Management system to support all charities, by maintaining up to date records on all charities and scheduled donations. 

 Supporting regional teams

• Working closely with our regional field teams to transition charities from initial to ongoing support, supporting their engagement and retention work with collecting charities.

 Stakeholder support

• Working with the data support team to identify support trends, by analysing performance, gauging satisfaction and proactively escalating key issues.

• Make charity eligibility assessments and understand their need and capacity for surplus food, in order to maximise the volume of food donated.

About the role:

Kinship is in our third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We are looking for a new Associate Director of Peer Support and Community to build and develop our model and to take the team to the next phase of growth and impact.

Your first priority will be to oversee delivery of the Department for Education national Peer Support Service contract in England. You will lead the development of our hub and spoke model, with an enhanced offer of national resources and support together with a continued focus on on-the-ground support for kinship carers to set up and sustain a network of peer support groups. You will ensure all members of the team have clarity and are empowered to meet new targets and ways of working.

The role will also lead on the strategic development of peer support approaches in Wales (for which we are seeking funding), ensuring innovation and good practice is shared across the nations.

Kinship peer support groups are powerful levers for change in local, regional and national ecosystems. Your team will ensure that every kinship carer in England and Wales has access to a peer support group, or support to set up and create their own. The team will be purposeful about offering developmental support to all kinship peer support groups, including independent groups, ensuring they remain or become sustainable. And that they have resources, training and peer networks to support this.

Reflecting our strategic focus on developing our Kinship Community of more than 10,000 kinship carers across England and Wales, you will lead a new community strategy, co-ordinating the development of opportunities for community connection and community power. This will include taking leadership for developing the Kinship model of community engagement and integrating across all our ‘in person’ and digital services and activities.

You will ensure a collaborative approach with services, alignment with national and local campaigning activity, and work closely with marketing and communications colleagues to support kinship carer reach and engagement with our community offer.

We’re taking an integrated approach to our services, so you’ll collaborate well across teams to ensure that support groups and their leaders have easy access to high quality advice, information and training. The team will need to work closely with colleagues delivering our new training and support contract, funded by the Department for Education.

Key responsibilities include:

• Innovation of the Peer Support Service.

• Develop and rollout peer support and community strategy and operational plan. 

• Implement monitoring and evaluation and impact tools for timely and accurate reporting of activity and engagement.

• Work with the Development team to develop proposals for the community and peer support which are ready for fundraising and business development.

Essential requirements include:

• Substantial experience in scaling a national service or programme with high quality outputs. This includes overseeing delivery, strategic planning, budgeting, managing delivery, meeting KPIs, stakeholder engagement and reporting to funders.

• Experience of governance and managing risk on high profile service delivery.

• Experience of effective budget management.

• Significant experience of leading the development and delivery of peer support services.

The role

This important role sits within our Supply Chain and Logistics team, responsible for processing offers of surplus food from our food partners into our network of Regional Centres and the wider community. This role is essential in ensuring that the food we are offered reaches the thousands of charities and community groups we support across the UK.

The role is a combination of customer service provision and supply chain coordination with a strong data focus. You will analyse varied datasets to decide how food is distributed across our Network to ensure optimal and sustainable distribution. You will also be responsible for continuing and championing the high levels of customer service we provide to the food industry and our network of Regional Centres.

You will work closely with FareShare’s food suppliers, transport partners, and our Regional Centres to identify and overcome operational challenges to distribution. The successful candidate will also work closely with our Food Commercial team to ensure our food partners receive excellent operational support and customer service. Main areas of responsibility

Food Industry Customer Service

• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring offers are responded to and processed within agreed service level requirements
• Work closely with the Food Commercial Managers, providing feedback and reporting on service issues and attending meetings and site visits as appropriate
• Assist Food Team with insight and feedback from food businesses, capturing key account information in our CRM system

 Regional Centre allocation

• Adhere to the requirements of the Network Service Level Agreement
• Work with the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to match food supplied to Regional Centre needs, always working to maximise surplus redistribution and minimise waste 
• Ensure that offers are allocated in an efficient and timely manner according to network needs and agreed priorities to maximise social impact of surplus food
• Using our CRM system, maintain timely records of accounts, allocations, offers and case management
• Maintain high standards of customer service to the Network and Operations teams and develop respectful and effective working relationships with the Regional Centres.

Logistics and transport

• Work with Commercial Managers and hauliers to implement best practice processes and reduce costs for FareShare whilst maximising acceptance of food
• Work with hauliers to plan transport requirements and ensure that we are able to meet network demand
• Work with Regional Centres to coordinate and plan routes for internal FareShare logistics
• Reactively solve transport issues throughout the working day

Data and Analysis

• Use FareShare PowerBI reports to ensure optimal product allocation within contract requirements
• Specify, build, monitor and analyse Salesforce reports to increase efficiency of allocation
• Use dashboards to monitor network issues
• Lead regional network agreement service level review meetings
• Report on data integrity issues to the Network Analyst

Team coordination and representation

• Support the Team providing assistance and cover when required e.g. during busy periods, annual leave and sickness to ensure an even spread of work across the team

Visitor Experience Manager
Location: Slimbridge
Salary: £34,405 per annum
Contract: Permanent

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 including weekends and bank holidays.

Slimbridge Wetland Centre is looking for a Visitor Experience Manager to lead both our paid and volunteer teams, champion cross departmental working and achieve an inspiring and engaging visitor experience.

Working with the General Manager, you will ensure that visitor experience is at the forefront of everything we do, including how we engage with our visitors before, during and after their visit.

As our Visitor Experience Manager, you will lead and support our Learning, Engagement & Events, Visitor Services and Administration teams. You are responsible for conveying a warm welcome at the admissions desk and the business reception, delivering events & engagement programmes throughout the centre and overseeing formal learning, and the Scott House Museum.

You will also act as duty manager on a rota basis ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities within the centre, communicating to all on site the expectations of the day.

About the job

We are seeking a confident and experienced Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant with a wide range of skills and importantly, a ‘can do’ approach. As a Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant, you will provide high quality practical and emotional support to potential victims of modern slavery within a safehouse setting.

You will work as a member of the team providing a safe temporary environment for vulnerable adults who have experienced trauma and exploitation. The role will involve assisting service users with increasing practical skills and self-confidence to empower and enable independent and safe living.

This service is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Applicants must be willing to work flexibly, which will include on call duties, evenings, weekends and bank. Both roles will work between two properties approx. 4 miles apart on a Rota basis. A full induction and continuous training will be given.

The 30 hour per week post will be shifts from 4pm-10pm, 5 days per week, however, the initial induction will consist of day shifts until knowledge of safe house is comprehensive.

You must have experience of working with vulnerable adults, the ability to work within a ‘risk associated’ environment and ideally experience of working within a residential or community setting with non-UK citizens. Relevant social care qualifications or suitable experience of supporting vulnerable people is essential.

About the role:

Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role. 

As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries.
