We are currently in search of a passionate and committed individual to join us to lead weekly group sessions for young people. The role involves designing, leading, and facilitating various activities and sessions aimed at improving wellbeing, community connections and building resilience. Overview
Healthwatch Newham wishes to employ a Deaf Outreach Worker. The role will work with the Deaf community on an action plan of delivery to make improvements across Newham. This is a fixed term contract of 12 months and you will work in partnership with the Newham health and social care system.
You will be a Deaf person with life experience of being Deaf and Deaf culture. You will be fluent in British Sign Language (BSL) and used to working in a bilingual environment with Deaf and hearing colleagues.

Our services are open access, so the people who come to the Ace of Clubs are diverse and from multiple walks of life. Working in partnership with the London Borough of Newham and East London Foundation Trust, IBIS House supports people who are medically fit for discharge from mental health inpatient stays but have other barriers to discharge. These may include housing, living skills, accessing benefits or the community, or other interventions and will be on a person-centred basis. The main aim of the service is to provide short-term support to customers to link with longer-term services to reduce escalations in need, and reduce inpatient readmission and reduce pressure on inpatient beds.

Job Title: Floating Support Worker

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Floating Support Worker to work within a new service aimed at providing essential warp-around support to vulnerable residents in the Borough of Hounslow. This temporary role offers a unique opportunity to be a part of a new team of 20 experienced staff members including two team leaders and the service manager. Delivering crucial assistance to individuals striving for independent living.
The successful applicant will be a part of an experienced team, providing tenancy sustainment advice and independent living skills to those who need it most
Duties:
- Oversee a case load of 30 varying support needs clients.
- Organising your week by booking appointments with each client.
- Writing up the monthly and weekly reports using clear written communication.
- Helping your clients with budgeting, advising around what they can afford and how to get the most out of their financial position.
- Help each client maintain their tenancy, reporting any damages, help each client keep on top of their financial responsibilities.
- Support clients emotionally.
- Empower you clients and encourage them to take up hobbies, attend appointments and apply for work, education, or training.
- Promote independence and teach life skills to enable clients to move on out into an independent lifestyle.

Our client, a leading homelessness charity based in east London are looking for an Advice and Support Worker to work in a busy homeless day centre. Due to a company restructure a position has become available to work in a team of Assessment and Advice Workers in the assessment and signposting of clients experiencing homeless clients with high support needs to relevant support services in the borough.
Candidates for this role will need:
- Extensive housing knowledge and knowledge of the entitlement homeless clients have under different housing laws/ acts

Lambeth Step Forward Recovery Cluster is an accommodation based service, set across Lambeth including hub sites situated in Brixton and West Norwood. The service provides care and support to over 60 customers living with enduring long term mental health. We also provide a service for two short-term post hospital discharge schemes for customers, who need support following hospital admission.
The role of our Support Worker play's a crucial role in fulfilling our customers expectations, making a positive difference and where appropriate supporting customers to step down to a lower level of support. Our Support Worker's are guided and mentored by 2 team leaders alongside a Contract Manager and as part of the team you will be developing and sustaining a good quality service to all our customers. An essential part of this role involves developing good partnership working with a range of professional's and maintaining excellent record keeping in line with our compliance management. More importantly, you will be required to oversee support planning, updating Risk Management Plans, and Keyworking. What you'll do:
- Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by Management staff
- Meet customers regularly for support sessions, providing emotional and practical support

- Develop support plans with customers to identify their goals, ensuring a person centred approach, enabling the customer to establish positive change
- Support customers to take care of their living environment, providing emotional and practical support to ensure customers enjoy a high quality accommodation
- Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community
- Support customers to apply for benefits and manage their bills. Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
- Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards
- Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team
- Adhere to Look Ahead's Policies and Procedures
- Engage in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills
- Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned
