The focus of this role is to provide administrative support to ensure back-office functions are efficient and timely. You will work across our fuel poverty and retrofit projects supporting project managers and key staff to ensure administrative tasks are completed to a high standard. The role will be varied, and some tasks will change over time as we secure further funded projects that require administrative support.

Pay and conditions.

• The role is a fixed term period of 12 months. We will consider applications for the role on a full or part-time basis, with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week.
• The salary for the role will be £28,124 per year full-time (37.5 hours per week), pro rata for part-time.
• You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays).

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• To sort HES inbound post, ensuring items are passed to the correct team or staff member.
• To coordinate HES outbound post requests, collating and printing information to send to households.
• To speak to households by telephone and triage households to appropriate HES projects.
• To book home visits for advisors and retrofit assessors, keeping calendars up to date with appointments, cancellations, and amendments. Accurately completing the home visits risk assessment when required.
• To assist with householder applications for grants and other funding schemes. Contacting clients to complete forms or collate paperwork or electronic evidence.
• To record client details and follow HES team guidance documents to assess the help and support needed.
• To update our client databases and other contact management systems accurately.
• Support the internal and external training programmes, such as booking inductions for new starters, distributing training materials after training sessions and making sure evaluations are completed.
• Help provide HR support for HES staff, through processing annual leave requests or sending appraisal reminders.
• Oversee the smooth running of HES processes, such as the complaints procedure or keep track of subscription packages.
• Maintain stocks of leaflets, factsheets, freepost envelopes, and similar items, including organising printing where needed.
• Take minutes during team meetings and share any actions.

The renewal of Methodist worship is highlighted in God for All 2025-32 as a significant commitment.

This exciting and varied role offers the opportunity to facilitate the music aspects of Methodist worship renewal across The Connexion. High-quality music is central to Methodist worship and this role will combine a significant amount of resource development, hands-on training and delivery online and in local circuits and Districts.

In this role, you will also have particular responsible for growing, fostering, nurturing and developing the community of church musicians, being responsible for networks, communication and all aspects of training and development. Additionally, you will play a leading role in working to develop the music aspects of The Resource Hub (formerly Singing the Faith +). Finally, you will work with congregations and circuits where there are no church musicians, to support high quality music within worship in those contexts.

About you

We are seeking to appoint someone with a strong sense of what musical excellence in worship looks like. Alongside this, you will believe deeply in the importance of wide congregational participation in worship. You will have an ability to translate the best of Methodist tradition for a contemporary setting. The role will require someone who is a natural communicator and skilled facilitator, able to work across the broad range of worshipping and musical traditions within The Methodist Church, and a gifted musician. You will enjoy resourcing, developing and delivering high-quality training for congregations, musicians, and those who lead worship, both online and in person.

About the role

We are seeking a Grants Systems and Business Analyst to join our Foundation, providing subject-area expertise to our grantmaking and wider teams. This exciting role leads on our grants system and processes and ensures we are working in the best way to support our grant-making (approx. £35m of grant spend per year).

You will lead on maintaining, designing and developing grant making systems and processes and their relationship to other parts of the organisation. You will work with colleagues to identify where we could improve our use of existing digital systems or introduce new systems and oversee the introduction of new systems as agreed including the development of a new grant management system. A key element of this role is to help others work in the most efficient and effective way. 

In addition, the role leads on introducing, developing and overseeing the operation of digital systems to support the operation of PHF’s wider business.  The post holder will bring a mix of technical and people skills to lead on continuous improvement, ensuring our systems and workflows fit the needs of the organisation and those we work with, and colleagues are skilled-up to work effectively.  This may involve working on the introduction of new software as required and will include working with our IT support company, software suppliers and colleagues who have specific oversight of some systems.

Purpose of the Job

This role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the UK Youth Employer Engagement team as part of the Network Delivery Department, supporting the Summer Jobs Programme. With a focus on identifying and securing employment placements and income for The Summer Jobs  Programme, the Employer Engagement Officer plays a key role in ensuring strong stewardship and a positive employer experience of the programme and partnership with UK Youth over the next 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

Employer recruitment and income generation

• Work closely with the Employer Engagement Manager to develop and implement an employer engagement strategy, integrating both local and national approaches.

• Support the development of employer sponsorship proposals, creating a menu of different engagement levels to meet income targets

• Work with the Employer Engagement Manager and the wider Corporate Partnerships Team to collaborate on UK Youth fundraising opportunities and integrate our employer ask into our wider corporate partnerships offer

• Track, monitor and report confirmed placements in specified locations.

• Input to feedback for programme funder, the Youth Endowment Fund, on corporate partnership opportunities

• Identify and engage with regional and localised contacts to assist in sourcing placements (e.g. local business networks).

• Accurately record programme donation contributions

Employer training and management

• Manage relationships with a cohort of employers throughout the programme, including:

• Securing their commitment to provide placements and funding in agreement with the programme’s terms of reference

• Ensuring they have the information and tools to succeed within the programme.

• Act as the primary point of contact at UK Youth.

Key Internal Relationships

• Collaborate closely with The Summer Jobs Project Manager to:

• Ensure consistency and accuracy of approach and information.

• Support Local Delivery Partners to build relationships with employers.

• Attend one to one meetings and appraisals with the Employer Engagement Manager

• Work in partnership with colleagues in the Communications team to enable the delivery of high-quality comms activities that support employer recruitment.

We are looking to recruit a life skills and activities co-ordinator to concentrate on building and expanding relationships with young people living in our supported accommodation as well as families in Westminster who attend sessions in our Family Services department. This is a unique and rewarding role in our Employment & Learning Team that will involve meeting and working with residents in our supported accommodation on a one-to-one basis and in groups, facilitating activities and evaluating and building evidence that these interventions have made a difference. Your work will focus on supporting our residents (aged 16-25) on-site with their Life Skills development. You will also work holistically to support the families who attend sessions in the Family Centre and who attend outings and “away-days”. The role also requires facilitating our study club (aged 13+) and group ESOL sessions (19+).

The Registered Area Manager postholder will be an experienced social worker, cognisant with trauma informed and therapeutic methodologies, that actively support and encourage diversity and inclusion, as they lead and develop an outstanding service to meet the needs of our families across the region.

Overall purpose

 As the Finance Officer, you will be required to ensure that our income and expenditure records are accurate, complete, free from error and comply with both the relevant accounting standards as well as donor restrictions. This role will play a key part in ensuring that the recording of financial information is compliant and auditable, in both the finance system and CRM.

You will also work alongside the Head of Finance to support the wider organisation in its financial understanding and management. This support will focus on both the fundraising team to empower them to raise as many funds as possible, especially unrestricted funds, and the services team to ensure their financial processes are robust and efficient. You will also be expected to contribute to and uphold our outstanding culture by living and demonstrating our values of being mission-led, welcoming, entrepreneurial and collaborative.

Key responsibilities

Finance responsibilities

• Record all income and expenditure general ledger transactions in the finance system, ensuring correct coding and full supporting documentation is stored in either the finance system or in the CRM.
• Have ownership of both the sales ledger and purchase ledger, ensuring all entries are recorded accurately with the correct VAT treatment while adhering to the relevant controls.
• Ensure all staff and client expenses are captured and recorded accurately, adhere to the relevant expense policy and are paid in a timely manner.
• Prepare and post payment runs alongside the Head of Finance
• Support the Financial Accountant in the monthly bank reconciliation
• Participate in month end processes to ensure the I&E figure is accurate within the pre-determined deadline, including posting prepayments, deferrals and accruals where relevant and other accounting adjustments as needed such as grossing up of platform fees.
• Ensure all finance documentation is complete and auditable including restricted fund evidence, and ensure the relevant GAUs are tracked on salesforce.
• Capture all restricted fund income and expenditure is the finance system on a monthly basis (staff and non-staff) alongside the Financial Accountant and Head of Finance
• Understand clawback risk on grants
• Ensure Breaking Barriers is claiming gift aid where applicable and optimising opportunities to reclaim input VAT in our business/non-business VAT return
• Reconciling to third party platforms on a monthly basis including fundraising platforms and Equals
• Work with the Head of Finance to upskill the fundraising and service teams to ensure they understand necessary financial processes
• Undertake income and expenditure control activities e.g. checking for grant rejection letters and verifying changes to supplier details.
• Be the finance team’s superuser for the CRM
• Support in year-end audit and the creation of relevant notes
• Support with ad hoc projects such as the implementation of a new finance system and policy and procedure updates

Technology

• Support the Financial Accountant, Finance Director and outsourced technology provider as needed for ongoing technology support and occasional projects.

Office and facilities management

• Support the financial team and any applicable offices as needed for ongoing office and facility management
