Based in Harrow, we are a not-for-profit co-operative owned by our workers. We have in-depth knowledge of the local area and of who’s doing what. Working in the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) community is the mainstay of our current activity, and whilst your credibility and our work in this area will remain important to us in our shared future, we’re looking to appoint an inspiring and commercially savvy Programme Lead who will bring experience of working across wider, often complex systems and sectors within social care, education, health, and locality based supports, to expand our work and impact in new ways. Your experience and specialist knowledge could include Autism, Looked After Children, Young Offenders, Mental Health, and Wellbeing.
As a member of our Leadership & Strategy group, the Programme Lead will be responsible for resource planning, providing direction and great support to our colleagues, ensuring that the work NDTi delivers is consistently of high quality, and that the activities and achievements of the team contribute towards the strategic direction and priorities of the wider organisation.
With well-developed commercial and sector expertise, you will be a skilled and sensitive communicator with excellent planning and strategic development skills. You will need to demonstrate that you can influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels and be able to respond effectively to changing political and legislative opportunities and challenges, and achieve the funding and income needed to build our Children and Young People programme. You will need to demonstrate that you have the sector knowledge and skills to offer leadership to the programme team in turning ideas into commissioned or funded projects.

In this new role you will oversee all areas of building operations with responsibility for health and safety compliance, risk assessments, managing physical assets, enhancing building appearance, cleanliness, security, and overseeing contractors.
You are educated to degree level in a relevant field and IOSH or NEBOSH qualified. You have experience of buildings and health and safety management, managing facilities and contracts, and people management. You are highly customer focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to negotiate, make decisions and work collaboratively is essential. Knowledge of project management principles and experience of providing hospitality services would be a distinct advantage.

Main Purpose of Job
The Youth Project Coordinator will set up, design, and deliver high-quality, innovative and engaging youth programmes for young people in the Hounslow borough and neighbouring areas. Including youth-led projects, holiday programmes, trainings, weekly groups and school activities.
The Youth Project Coordinator will lead, develop, and champion the youth voice at the Trust. Through building strong and trusting relationships with young people and ensuring young people are represented from all areas of the Trust and the boroughs that we work in.
The Youth Project Coordinator will work with schools, local community groups, charities, and the local authority to ensure young people are able to access the provision and to enhance opportunities available for young people.

You will have knowledge and understanding of personal, social, and educational youth work topics and ability to deliver high quality sessions. With the ability to lead and work independtly as well as working colloboratively as part of a team.

In addition to working closely with teams across the business, you will also have the opportunity to work with third-party suppliers to ensure that they are meeting the aims of the project.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure key stakeholders prepare business cases for investment in technology and software to agreed standards, advising them on process and changes or additions to business cases.
- In collaboration with the business lead, manage the development and delivery of technology projects, ensuring that it meets RCR’s required standards and supporting successful implementation.
- Ensure plans, risks and finances associated with project delivery are tracked as required and made visible for governance and portfolio management purposes.
- Use feedback and research to recommend improvements to RCR’s IT project management processes, implementing agreed changes.
- Support the Head of IT in the day-to-day management of invoices and of the IT budget, ensuring that spend is accounted for and managed according to RCR’s guidelines.
- Manage, administer and schedule regular board meetings. Follow up actions agreed in the board meeting, in partnership with the Head of IT.
What you’ll need:
- Experience of managing change and business and IT projects
- Experience of managing project budgets
- Effective interpersonal skills, including ability to provide support and guidance to colleagues across the RCR to both business and technical teams.
- Ability to identify improvements to ways of working and suggest solutions to problems.
