The Campden Charities are seeking to appoint a full time Grants Officer to join our diverse grants team.

A key appointment as we continue to drive our services, grant programmes and ongoing development of our outreach and publicity strategy.

The Campden Charities is a permanently endowed trust assisting individuals on the lowest incomes in the old parish of Kensington.  The area is one of extreme contrasts and includes neighbourhoods with significant levels of deprivation and need. The Charities awards grants totalling more than £2 million each year via programmes focused on helping individuals on very low incomes to move on in their lives be it through education, training or otherwise supporting employment.

We seek applicants who have an understanding of, and empathy towards, supporting unemployed or low-income individuals and families to improve their financial circumstances. They will be self-motivated, highly organised with excellent attention to detail, an independent thinker yet a team player and computer literate. Our grant-giving programmes are constantly evolving, input from Grant Officers plays a crucial role in shaping them.

Additional information

Place of work: 27a Pembridge Villas, London W11 3EP.  Some outreach work will be expected ranging from one-off events to placements within local organisations or community centres. 

Salary: £31,000 - £33,195 dependent on experience (generous 10% employer's pension contribution rising to 15%  after five years)

Hours of work: 37½ hours, Monday to Friday.  The usual working hours for this post are 9.00 am – 5.00 pm. Some start time flexibility could potentially be offered post-induction/training.

Holiday: 28 days per annum + Bank Holidays.

Training: Training and support in post is provided on an on-going basis and training in specific areas will be offered as need and interest arise. Following successful completion of the six-month probationary period undertaking a Level 3 QCF qualification in Advice and Guidance is mandatory.  There will also be an opportunity to undertake Level 4. As a vital part of the safeguarding team, the Trainer and Facilitator will play a key role in developing and delivering safeguarding training across the Diocese. This includes ensuring that all those with safeguarding responsibilities are equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and understanding necessary to recognise, respond to, and prevent abuse, and to create safe and caring church communities.

The role requires both strong organisational and interpersonal skills. The postholder will deliver training online and in person, adapting content and delivery methods to meet diverse learning needs and contexts. They will also monitor compliance and engagement with training across the Diocese, maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for leadership and governance bodies.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Training Delivery
To deliver training both in person and on-line, in Safeguarding leadership, and raising awareness of Domestic Abuse, including evaluating pre and post training session work

Safeguarding Training Coordination:
Coordination of the diocesan safeguarding learning and development programme, ensuring alignment with national frameworks and standards.

Training Administration and Record Management:
Organise around 80 training sessions annually, managing bookings, materials, publicity, and attendance records, and maintaining accurate safeguarding training data for individuals and parishes.

Reporting and Team Support:
Produce reports and statistics on training compliance and trends

We are looking for someone with:

· A qualification or demonstratable experience in training or education.

· Demonstratable experience in evaluating pre and post training session work.

· Demonstratable safeguarding experience.

· Good clear communication skills, in particular a friendly and sensitive training delivery manner, and confidence in in running Zoom and Teams for training.

· High level of ICT and database skills, in particular the ability to input data accurately and extract reports as required.

· Understanding and assurance of absolute confidentiality in relation to records held in safeguarding files and databases

Title of Consultancy: Finance Consultant

Location: Sightsavers Bangladesh Country Office in Banani, Dhaka, operating during regular office hours (09:00 to 17:00, Sunday to Thursday), the consultant will require on occasion to travel within the country and abroad for supporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare periodical cash flow forecasts and monthly fund requests
• Review expenditures to ensure all supporting documents are attached to vouchers and correctly coded in SUN/UniFi
• Ensure month-end and project-end financial processes are completed on time
• Collect bank reconciliation certificates alongside financial reports from partners
• Finalise partner budgets, review periodic reports, and ensure accurate posting; monitor budget burn rates including partner projects
• Conduct financial monitoring of projects, including audits and oversight of partner organisations; carry out regular monitoring visits
• Support the Country Director and Finance & Support Services Manager (FSSM) in preparing project budgets and reforecasts as required
• Ensure timely preparation for project audits, including those involving partners
• Maintain finance records systematically in both hard and soft formats
• Conduct financial monitoring visits to partner organisations on a regular basis
• Verify partner project expenses against approved budgets and protocols
• Provide financial and logistical support as requested by partners or as needed
• Follow up on timely submission of financial reports from partners to Sightsavers
• Ensure proper financial monitoring of projects, including audits and financial management of partner organisations
• Support partners with budgetary control, revisions, and forecasts as needed
• Assist partners with regular budget variance analysis

Duration of the consultancy

The Finance Consultant will be engaged for a period of three and a half months, commencing in November 2025 and concluding in mid-February 2026. Any extension beyond this period will be subject to mutual agreement and dependent on project requirements.

Payment terms

The agreed budget for this consultancy will be discussed during the interview process. Consultants with a proven track record in the areas outlined will be engaged through an expression of interest process. Full details of the project, including the scope of work, expected outputs and deliverables, as well as budget information, are available in the attached Terms of Reference.

Consultant’s expertise

• Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Management, or Business Administration is desirable, though equivalent and relevant professional experience will be considered
• Experience working within reputable NGOs or INGOs
• Experience managing donor funds
• Experience in project accounting and working with partner organisations
• Strong skills in accounting data processing and financial report writing
• Knowledge of national tax and VAT regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Effective communication skills in both English and Bangla

PURPOSE

This role sits within the growing development team and will be responsible for managing a US and International portfolio of current and prospective major donors, cultivating relationships with individuals, trusts, and corporations and soliciting major gifts and stewarding donors effectively to encourage their lasting support. The Senior Development Manager will connect these stakeholders to our mission through a combination of face-to-face meetings, events, written proposals, and compelling presentations.

REPORTS TO

The Senior Development Manager  West Coast will report to the Director of Development US for the WHO Foundation. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES & FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising and portfolio management:

• Responsible for delivering major gifts from HNWIs, philanthropists, corporates, foundations in support of WHO’s strategic priorities in the US— particularly in major markets such as the Bay Area, Seattle, and Southern California.

• Manage a portfolio of 60-80 prospective donors (250K to 5 million USD capacity) and develop them across all stages of cultivation.

• In partnership with the Regional Director US, design and implement a comprehensive development strategy for the West Coast, aligned with the Foundation’s development goals.

• Meet a yearly set of agreed fundraising KPIs (including money raised, asks made, meetings secured and gift close rate).

• Efficiently use the CRM to record and report on activity: feeding into campaign data, team reporting and management information for the senior leadership team.

Relationship management:

• Develop and implement effective cultivation/ solicitation strategies with potential donors to motivate significant gifts to match fundraising priorities. 

• Initiate and grow a personal network of senior key influencers who are able to advise and make introductions to strengthen and grow our major donor base.

• Build mutually beneficial relationships with WHOF and WHO colleagues, particularly in relation to fundraising projects, and align programmes of activity where appropriate. 

• Create shared opportunities that support and advance the Foundation's fundraising priorities.

• Translate complex ideas into compelling messages tailored to supporters.

• Contribute to the concept, planning and delivery of events and other opportunities to engage with WHOF’s community of supporters.

• Work with leadership and fundraisers from across the Foundation to identify potential funding priorities that may be of particular interest to North American prospects.

Collaboration:

• Work in partnership with the Finance team, Legal, Comms and wider WHOF teams to ensure gifts are processed in line with donor wishes and financial regulations

• Work with senior stakeholders to secure transformational gifts.

• Ensure the highest standards of donor care through effective stewardship, timely reporting, gift acknowledgment and continued engagement.

Job requirements

PROFILE

• Significant experience of managing principal gift portfolios and closing 6- and 7-figure gifts

• Experience developing and implementing innovative high network individual events.

• Experience working in a target-orientated environment and operating at the most senior level. 

• Demonstrable experience of designing and executing successful fundraising strategies

• Excellent knowledge of best practice in philanthropic fundraising applied successfully in international development, higher education, health, or nonprofit sectors

• Strong experience in health partnership with health emergencies and corporate partners is also welcome

• Thorough knowledge of IT systems, database management and Salesforce.

• Experience working in an international organization and/or in international development within a complex stakeholder environment

• Knowledge of West Coast philanthropic networks and organizations particularly the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and/or Seattle is strongly preferred.

• Self motivated, target driven and aptitude to work with flexibility and autonomy both individually and as part of a multi-stakeholder team

• Comfort with and/or experience of operating in a lean, start-up and remote environment

• Fluency in English (excellent writing skills)

This is a full-time role and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a relevant sector. PURPOSE

The Principal Gifts Manager is a vital member of the Development team at the WHO Foundation, responsible for advancing strategic fundraising and engagement goals. The role will appeal to a talented principal gifts fundraiser motivated by the opportunity to make a transformative impact on the Foundation’s fundraising at a pivotal moment in its history.

By cultivating relationships with individuals, trusts, and corporations, this role will secure $3M+ funding from a diverse and growing community of supporters. The Principal Gifts Manager will connect these stakeholders to our mission through a blend of face-to-face meetings, events, tailored proposals, and compelling presentations. This role may also serve as a multi-market specialist, managing select portfolios.

REPORTS TO

 The Principal Gifts Manager will report to the Director of Development US for the WHO Foundation.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising and portfolio management:

• Increase philanthropic gifts to WHOF and build a sustainable pipeline of prospects and fundraising income.

• Manage a portfolio of 30-40 prospective donors and deliver multiple gifts at the $3 million + level.

•  Meet or exceed targets, including dollars raised, asks made, meetings secured, and gift closure rates.

• Develop strategies for multi-year transformational funding etc to : Develop strategies for multi-year transformational funding, working collaboratively with the Development Team to expand UHNW networks and corporate partners. Build plans to engage family offices, donor-advised funds, wealth advisors, and family foundations at the principal gift level.

• Efficiently use the CRM to track and report activity, support campaign data, and provide management information for senior leadership.

• Cultivate deep and meaningful principal gift relationships with prospects and donors.

• Develop strong working relationships with WHO and WHOF ’s staff and senior volunteers.

Relationship management:

• Design and execute effective cultivation/ solicitation strategies with potential donors that inspire major gifts to match fundraising priorities.

• Initiate and grow a personal network of senior influencers and connectors to strengthen and expand the principal gifts pipeline..

• Build mutually beneficial relationships with WHOF and WHO colleagues, particularly in relation to [around] fundraising projects, and align programmes of activity where appropriate.

• Create shared opportunities that support and advance the Foundation's fundraising priorities: replace: Identify and leverage shared opportunities that advance the Foundation’s fundraising priorities.

• Translate complex ideas into compelling messages tailored to supporters..

• Work with leadership and fundraisers from across the Foundation to identify potential funding priorities of interest to principal gift donors and prospects.

• Where assigned, lead on a geographical focus region’s overall engagement strategy, leveraging existing and planned foundation-wide activity to increase regional engagement, whilst collaborating with stakeholders, advocates and ambassadors to further identify new philanthropic funding opportunities

Collaboration:

• Work in partnership with the Finance team, Legal, Communications and wider WHOF teams to ensure gifts are processed in line with donor wishes and financial regulations

• Work with senior stakeholders to secure transformational gifts.

• Ensure the highest standards of donor care through effective stewardship, timely reporting, gift acknowledgment and continued engagement.

• Demonstrate tact, discretion and resourcefulness in all areas of performance.

Job requirements

• A minimum of 10+ years to attract senior-level US fundraisers. of experience in fundraising 

• Significant experience of managing principal gift portfolios and closing 7- and 8-figure gifts

• Proficient in building relationships and negotiating with UHNW and HNWI donors

• Demonstrable experience of working to and achieving challenging financial targets

• Demonstrable experience of designing and executing successful fundraising strategies

• Excellent knowledge of best practice in philanthropic fundraising applied successfully in international development, higher education, health, or nonprofit sectors

• Strong experience in health partnership with health emergencies and corporate partners is also welcome

• Thorough knowledge of IT systems, database management and Salesforce.

• Experience working in an international organization and/or in international development within a complex stakeholder environment

• Knowledge of US philanthropic networks and organizations

• Self motivated, target driven and aptitude to work with flexibility and autonomy both individually and as part of a multi-stakeholder team

We’re looking for someone to plan and organise our activities programme which offers Unpaid Carers in Lewisham the opportunity to have a break from their caring responsibilities in a social environment where they can meet other carers and focus on their wellbeing.

You’ll work closely with the service manager to plan and arrange a wide programme of activities for young and adult Unpaid Carers. This will involve researching activities, and liaising with providers, ensuring health and safety, insurance and other checks are in place, arranging resources and refreshments, completing risk assessments and booking venues.

You will actively promote activities to Unpaid Carers, manage bookings and respond to queries. The role is based in our Carers Hub, so you will interact with Unpaid Carers visiting the team or enquiring about the service. You will also prepare regular newsletters for the service and provide additional admin support to the team as needed.

Applicants should have experience in an admin or activities planning role and excellent customer service skills. You will require exceptional communication, organisational and written skills, and should be proactive and resourceful.
