The Team
As part of the National Careers Service team in the Southeast, you will be part of a small cohort of highly experienced and qualified Careers Advisers provide Careers Information, Advice, and Guidance (CIAG) by various methods including, Face to Face, Telephone and Virtual (MS Teams) appointments. The success of team is their excellent communication and ability to support each other on a daily basis.
The Role
As a qualified Careers Adviser, you will be responsible for the daily delivery of Careers Information, Advice, and Guidance to adults on a range of opportunities, including learning, career paths and employment.
As a Careers Adviser you will use your experience of working with people within the community from a variety of backgrounds using various methodologies to empower customers as they seek to overcome barriers to progression and make informed career decisions about their futures.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate their abilities to achieve their goals on an outcome-based contract supporting others to achieve their goals. You will be organised, flexible in your abilities to support the needs of the charity.
From time to time, you will be required to attend CXK Head Office (Ashford, Kent) for meetings, events and other organisational activities.

Minimum Criteria
· IAG qualification at Level 4 or above

As the Manager of our Training & Prevention team you will lead and grow our Training & Prevention offer.
You will focus on the development and management of training to a range of audiences, including internal staff and volunteers, and other frontline professionals.
You will also manage our sexual violence prevention work in schools, colleges, and universities, coordinate our Service User Advisory Group, and supervise two Training & Prevention Support Workers.

Essential knowledge, skills and experience
- Experience of leading significant mass participation fundraising, legacy, and donor experience programme(s) in the higher education or charitable sector.
- A well-developed understanding of the fundraising mix, and the principles and processes that underpin fundraising success at all levels.
- Experience of developing and delivering strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-cutting teams to deliver exceptional work.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills with experience of translating complex information into effective, persuasive and clear language for a variety of purposes.
- Proven experience of policy development and negotiation.
- Experience of working with a wide range of colleagues from a variety of disciplines across a large and complex organisation and providing consultancy and support to senior colleagues on a specialised area of expertise.
- Experience of effectively managing budgets.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the necessary listening, facilitation and negotiation skills to represent the University at the highest levels, coupled with the highest levels of tact and discretion required to deal with highly confidential information.

The charity owns and derives income from the original ‘Queen Elizabeth 1 Grammar School’ premises in Hartlebury and from its investment portfolio.
It’s key purpose is to benefit local schools and individuals by making financial awards to enhance and support educational opportunities. It seeks and considers applications from local schools or from individual pupils or students resident in the local area. We are committed to this aim and to developing our grant-making. The Foundation’s area of benefit is ‘the ancient parish of Hartlebury’, which is slightly larger than the current parish of Hartlebury.
The post will involve attending board meetings, taking and producing accurate minutes, and undertaking the accompanying administrative tasks including day-to-day banking and accounting. You will need to be able to keep well-ordered files & documents, be numerate and literate, with good typing skills, and it is essential you are fully competent using Word, Excel and Xero (or similar) accounting software.
In-person board meetings, usually six per year, take place at the Parish Hall in Hartlebury in alternate months; they are usually held from 5.30 – 7.30 p.m. Much of the working time for the role will be home-based and there is liable to be a need to store some administrative papers & documents securely in your home. There is also likely to be some written and/or phone contact with schools and individuals who make applications to the charity. You will co-ordinate liaison with the Foundation’s existing property, rent-collection and legal consultants.
The Foundation is in an important period of development, expanding its profile and its grant-making process, upgrading its online presence and moving to internet banking. The clerk’s role will be an exciting part of all these.

What you’ll be doing:
As a Training and Development Officer, you will be working directly with teachers and other education staff supporting their journeys in taking curriculum learning and play outside and to utilise their school grounds. You will deliver LtL’s training and projects within diverse communities across a significant geographical area. This role is part of our exciting new climate change education initiative. Exclusion from education happens when a child is suspended from school (temporarily or permanently) but it also happens when they are sent out of the class, put into an isolation room, or even wander around corridors doing all they can to avoid going to their lessons! With 32 million ‘learning days’ lost in 22/23 (up from 19 million, pre covid) this is serious societal problem with devastating lifelong consequences for young people – especially those from poorer backgrounds. SOHK is on a mission to help children experiencing exclusion, change their life trajectory.
With teams in England, Scotland and Wales, working with hundreds of ‘at risk’ students, we are looking to appoint a Regional Manager in South East Wales who will be responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of our programme in Wales. The successful candidate will ensure the alignment of delivery with our organisational goals and standards, line manage and support team members and maintain strong relationships with schools and other stakeholders. They will play a key role in monitoring outcomes, reporting progress, and driving growth to ensure the programme’s success.
A key element of this brand-new role is school retention and sales, ensuring that schools continue to engage with and invest in SOHK programmes. The Regional Manager will also be expected to grow the SOHK network in Wales and attending networking and fundraising functions as required. SOHK has ambitious plans to grow in Wales over the next 5 years with the Regional Manager playing a vital part in delivering this vision.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and manage the Schools Facilitator, Rugby Coach, and SEL Lead to ensure effective programme delivery.
- Hold regular team meetings to track progress, resolve issues, and drive improvements.
Programme Delivery Oversight
- Serve as the main contact for partner schools, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- Oversee team performance and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all programme elements

Schools Retention & Sales
- Maintain strong school relationships to support satisfaction and long-term engagement.

The Head of Business Development works closely with the CEO and has responsibility for all aspects of the development of BLCF’s business interests including long-term income growth, philanthropy, partnerships, communication and new business initiatives. Responsibilities
