The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Project Manager with experience working in or with schools to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of our careers-related activities. This role ensures our partner schools receive high-quality careers education that aligns with the Gatsby Benchmarks.

The Switch partners with approximately 12 secondary schools in Tower Hamlets, delivering an engaging careers programme that supports every student.  As Project Manager, you will work closely with the Secondary Schools team to deliver engaging and inspiring careers activities across our network of secondary schools, creating an impactful experience for students. You will also work alongside the Mentoring Project Manager to manage several mentoring cohorts, serving as the key point of contact for both schools and partner companies, while upholding our robust safeguarding standards.

This role involves hands-on delivery of careers sessions, directly engaging and inspiring students to explore and pursue their future aspirations

Details

· The role sits within the Secondary Schools team and reports to the Senior Project Manager.

· Working hours are typically 9am – 5pm Monday – Thursday, and 9am – 4pm Fridays

The Role

The Head of Partnerships and Fundraising is responsible for the majority of income generation for our charity. The Switch raises income from corporate volunteering partnerships and through grant applications to other trusts and charities, which together contribute circa £800,000 per year. This is a role that requires strategic thinking, relationship and negotiation skills, and the ability to meet income targets.

This role will manage and grow our current key corporate partners, ensuring sustainability and longevity in our partnerships. The person will be responsible for communicating effectively with corporate partners on a strategic level, to understand how we can improve our volunteering offer and communicate impact to their business.

The job-holder will seek new partnerships in diverse industries where we have fewer stakeholders, to ensure our young people work with companies and volunteers from wide-ranging sectors.

In this position you will scope fundraising opportunities from grant and trusts, and be adept at assessing our viability so that applications we submit have a higher rate of success than average.

As Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, you will create new income streams which The Switch has not considered before, for example legacy funding, individual giving, corporate match funding. This will improve our financial stability.

In addition to income generation, this role will lead the Partnerships team and manage two to three staff as follows :

1. Our Corporate Partnerships and Volunteer Manager - oversees all volunteer logistics, including maintaining volunteer records and distributing relevant briefing materials to ensure volunteers are well-prepared for their role. Some time dedicated to fundraising too.

2. Our Communication Coordinator – leads on our regular comms including our digital newsletter, social media pages, and bespoke comms for projects or funders.

PIP is a local charity that supports adults with learning disabilities or autism to achieve their potential, and to lead lives that are as independent as possible.  

Our mission is to empower adults with learning disabilities to achieve their potential. We are a growing, grassroots charity based in West London, and run a number of key services to promote independence and choice for our students.

What We Offer:

· You'll get 25 days holiday + bank holidays ever year. We're closed for Christmas but the rest of the year you may take leave whenever you wish. 

· An extra day of annual leave for each year you've worked with us up to another 5 (30 in total)

About the role

To work with colleagues in the Tutor Engagement team to ensure the strategic priorities of Tutor recruitment and retention are delivered effectively.

The Tutor Recruitment and Engagement Officer leads on processes to ensure an appropriate number of high-quality Tutors are available to deliver our core programmes each term, including creating promotional material, and liaising with internal colleagues to ensure Tutors are equipped to start placements. They also lead on some processes to support retention, including gathering Tutor feedback, and coordinating professional development opportunities for returning Tutors. They regularly collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, building strong and effective relationships to promote the tutoring opportunity. The role will also be involved with supporting wider organisation priorities across different teams.

The role reports into the Head of Tutor Engagement and can be based in either London or Leeds.

We are looking for an experienced, confident and relationship-focussed fundraiser to join us as Partnerships and Stewardship Manager, to help build deep and meaningful relationships with corporate donors and prospective corporate donors who have the potential to transform the future and impact of UAL. 

The Partnerships and Stewardship Manager will raise philanthropic income from new business and existing corporate partnerships to further innovative research, education, capital and student support and other UAL core priorities.

The role is based in the Development & Alumni Relations team at UAL which is responsible for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of principal gifts, major gifts, trusts and foundations and corporate donors.

This is a hybrid role, based at UAL’s High Holborn site but will also include time spent at the Colleges. The role will give you the opportunity to work closely with colleagues in world-leading departments on a wide range of strategic funding propositions.

About you

We are seeking individuals who are target-driven, with a passion for building meaningful philanthropic partnerships with companies. You'll be tenacious in your approach to income delivery and be able to articulate the case for support for investing in creative higher education.  Your natural ability to connect, engage, and motivate others around a shared vision will be key, as is your talent for identifying donor opportunities and translating them into long-term impact.

You will be working to realise the potential of a pipeline of prospects to elevate the impact of corporate philanthropy at UAL.  Alongside this you will be responsible for a supporter engagement programme to motivate existing corporate supporters and ultimately increase philanthropic income for the University.  Your success in our team will be supported by a solid track record of developing partnerships and securing new gifts.
