Changing Faces is seeking a motivated Health Professional Engagement Officer to join our Services Team. This exciting part-time role takes the lead in our professional liaison work to educate health and social care professionals regarding the impact of visible difference and raising their awareness of the important work of the charity.

Main purpose of the role

The main purpose is to develop and maintain relationships with HCPs to:

Pro Bono Community is a registered charity that has developed specialised training programmes for students, trainees and lawyers covering the practical skills involved in delivering free legal advice and areas of social welfare law. In conjunction with the training, the charity arranges and manages volunteering placements at Law Centres and other advice agencies. The charity’s activities include a number of grant-funded projects which the coordinator will be heavily involved in.

About the role

Pro Bono Community is looking for a Training and Volunteer Coordinator to help us run programmes aimed at improving the amount and quality of access to justice by training law students and others and then placing them to work as volunteers at advice agencies.

The Training and Volunteer Coordinator will report to and work alongside the Director to undertake work supporting the charity’s activities with a focus on recruiting and training students and lawyers and then coordinating volunteering placements for them at Law Centres and advice agencies. The role also includes administrative work relating to a pioneering digital advice clinic the charity runs in conjunction with a Citizens Advice agency in London.

The Legacy Stewardship Manager will plan and deliver an ambitious new legacy stewardship strategy to bring about growth in future legacy income.  It will diversify the current legacy stewardship programme to convert more legacy prospects and maintain more pledgers using a combination of relationship and mass fundraising activities. It will be responsible for planning and delivering high quality communications and experiences which make supporters feel inspired, valued and deepen relationships with them over the long-term.

This role is critical in growing future legacy income for RNID, which currently represents 72% of RNID’s income. It will play a pivotal role in a Legacy Fundraising Team of four people, reporting into the Head of Legacies, working alongside the Legacy Marketing Manager and line managing the Gifts in Wills Specialist Officer.

The National Lottery Community Fund is seeking a Senior Government Relationship Manager to lead our relationships with governments across the UK as part of our newly restructured communications function. This role represents a significant opportunity in our new function as we implement our ambitious communications strategy that shifts from traditional grant-making support to demonstrating the powerful impact that communities have across the UK.

As a senior member of the External Affairs team and a key part of our wider communications team, you will lead our relationship with DCMS as our sponsor department and build a coherent approach to government relations across the UK that recognises the needs of all of the devolved administrations.  You will build connections with relevant government departments, acting as the key coordinator and source of knowledge and insight for all government-related activity at the Fund.

Your role as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on government relations and building our reputation will be critical to our success. Your political insight will help the Fund maintain its identity as a champion of community-led change while providing senior counsel on engaging with ministers and officials.

You will work in close collaboration with communications and funding colleagues to anticipate and mitigate risks in a structured way, handling sensitive issues when they arise. Your strong understanding of the political landscape and ability to build strong relationships will support the Fund’s wider strategic objectives.

We're looking for a government relations professional with significant experience who can build influential relationships across all levels of government and who can provide expert analysis of policy developments. The ideal candidate will bring a sophisticated understanding of the UK political landscape and the workings of government. You will be politically astute with experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and balancing diverse priorities. Your background might include policy development, stakeholder or government relations or public affairs in a government department, a public body or a large mission-driven organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a consistent approach to government relations across the UK, maintaining systems and processes for ensuring effective delivery
• Lead our sponsor relationship with DCMS and build relationships and connections with relevant departments, managing and co-ordinating responses to departmental requirements and identifying opportunities to demonstrate our value.
• Provide strategic horizon scanning and expert policy analysis, disseminating information and advice to senior leaders
• Coordinate the Fund's interactions with governments across the UK
• Develop engagement plans for ministers and senior officials
• Create high-quality briefing materials for senior leadership for meetings with government ministers and senior officials, attending meetings as appropriate
• Lead on policy positioning papers on key issues
• Support Communications colleagues to ensure country and regional government relations are aligned

Title: Trusts & Foundations Advisor

About the role

Sightsavers’ Trusts and Corporate Partnerships team is excited to be expanding its team in response to growing demands and opportunities in the trusts & foundation sector. We are recruiting for two additional Trusts & Foundations Advisors to be key contributors to the development of Sightsavers trusts and foundations programme. They will play a crucial role in the successful recruitment and cultivation of new business, while also managing a portfolio of existing trust and foundation donors primarily based in the UK, U.S and Europe.

In this role, the Advisor will be instrumental in contributing towards the team’s annual income target and supporting additional planned growth in the coming years. 

Responsibilities

• Manage and cultivate relationships with a portfolio of key trust and foundation donors for Sightsavers (up to 7-figure funding agreements) via proposals, mailings, reports, telephone or face-to-face meetings as appropriate, and coordinate donor visits, dealing with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees.
• Develop key external and internal relationships and donor engagement activities for the achievement of planned objectives with these donors.
• Research, identify, prioritise, and develop personalised engagement plans and donor strategies to cultivate new trust prospects in targeted global markets. Lead on cultivating relationships with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees, with the aim of establishing additional high-value funding relationships.
• Work proactively across the organisation, including cross-culturally, to coordinate, develop, and deliver a high standard of compelling project proposals and reports ready for submission to donors whilst ensuring excellent grant/contract management to existing donor relationships.
• Actively participate in the networks surrounding trusts and foundations, sharing information, insights, opportunities, and fundraising materials produced.
• Represent Sightsavers and/or support staff delegations at conferences and networks to engage with and cultivate new donor relationships.
• Contribute to team, departmental, and wider organisational systems development and initiatives.

• Relevant experience working in the charity sector, ideally in international development.
• Experience of long-term grant/contract management of significant funders/clients.

• Demonstrative experience of excellent written skills, including proposals, bids, and reports for external audiences.
