About FareShare

FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 18 independent organisations. Together, we take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to nearly 9,500 frontline charities and community groups.

The role
As Community Coordinator, your role will focus on the growth and sustainability of the FareShare programme, through maximising relationships and adding value to create the best experience for our charity community. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, with an approachable nature who will play a vital role in developing and maintaining charity and retailer relationships, plus raising awareness of FareShare across your local area.

Main areas of responsibility

• Charity account management:You will carry out virtual calls and in person visits with new and existing charities, and be responsible for ensuring that coverage KPIs are reached and maintained for both new and existing retailers. Using your analysis of charity needs, plus your knowledge of retailer and store profiles, you will use these visits to maximise the offer to charities, ensuring the service meets their requirements.
• Community Capacity Building: As part of the Building of relationships with charities, you will seek opportunities to enable and empower charities to increase their capacity and ability to take more food, to ultimately increase the redistribution of surplus food to those in need.
• Sustainability and Compliance: You will work with your Regional Manager and team to identify stores where re-engagement activities are needed to improve charity coverage and charity compliance. You will work to maximise the amount of food collected by charities with lower levels of compliance. You will also be responsible for undertaking food safety reviews with charities to ensure compliance.
• Retailer Engagement:You will play a key role in maintaining strong retailer relationships across your region. You will take an active role in any meet and greets with retailers, where required. Plus, you will be responsible for maintaining regular contact with the relevant retail stakeholders in your region, sensitively dealing with any issues in a professional manner, as and when they arise.
• FareShare Network Engagement: We aim to become 'oneFareShare’. These roles are an integral part of our FareShare network and you will partner closely with the Regional Centre(s) in your areas. You will work on joint initiatives which improve and grow the FareShare community, ensuring that charities have access to the FareShare service which best meet their needs.

Arts Emergency has been supporting young people through our mentoring programme since 2011. During this time, we've seen a huge community of mentors from across the UK's  creative industries come together to support nearly 2,000 underrepresented young people to pursue higher education, creativity and careers.

As the London Mentoring Officer, you will work as part of a small team to recruit, match and support mentoring pairs across London. Job Responsibilities

• Recruit and maintain a network of volunteer mentors, in collaboration with the wider Mentoring and Arts Emergency team
• Organise mentor training events and carry out necessary safeguarding measures, including enhanced checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for volunteers
• Manage existing relationships and develop new ones with schools, colleges, and other referral partners
• Manage application and onboarding processes effectively
• Ensure the best possible mentor matches for young people and provide high-quality support throughout their mentoring relationship
• Develop value-added opportunities for mentees to gain first-hand knowledge and experience in their fields of interest, and to achieve their personal goals.

We are looking for a new Senior Impact Manager on a 2 year fixed term contract, who will play a leading role in our efforts to reduce and prevent school exclusions, and our longer term goal to build a more inclusive education system in the UK.  As part of the UK Impact Team, you will manage a portfolio of partners, supporting them to collaborate and develop a community of practice. You will also work closely with our partners, Mission 44’s Youth Advisory Board, sector peers and a range of internal colleagues on the development of our first ever public awareness campaign, launching in 2025.  To do this role, you’ll need to be passionate about making the education system more inclusive, have a good knowledge of the grantmaking sector and be excited about the opportunity to deliver transformational changes in education that will benefit the lives of young people across the UK.

We are seeking an experienced Trusts and Foundations Officer preferably from the North of England to join the fundraising team at the Batten Disease Family Association (BDFA).

The BDFA is the only patient organisation in the UK for families affected by Batten disease, a rare and terminal neurodegenerative condition that affects children and young adults. The BDFA offers informed guidance and support to families and the professionals who work with them, as well as actively raising awareness, and promoting research into the management of Batten disease to improve patient care pathways and ultimately find a cure.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation, which has grown to offer additional support services for families affected by Batten disease and to implementing a long-term strategy to develop its advocacy, education and research capabilities. We’re looking for an individual who has the experience and skills to manage and nurture relationships with our existing funders from charitable trusts, foundations and other grant-making bodies, ensuring they feel inspired by our work and the patients and families we support.

The role will incorporate managing a sizeable portfolio of Trusts and Foundations through excellent stewardship, and to build on this strong foundation, developing and submitting winning funding proposals to create a high-quality pipeline of new funding opportunities. The successful candidate will work as part of the Fundraising team, under the guidance of our Chief Executive Officer to continue our strategy to diversify income through this key funding stream.

The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:

- Experience and a proven track record of successful Trusts and Foundations income generation.

- Demonstratable experience in researching potential Trust funders, submitting compelling proposals, securing funding and project managing successful bids through to completion of the grant award.

- A background in report writing and demonstrating grant impact whilst being able to build relationships with funders and individual/major donors.

- Experience of providing excellent supporter care and building mutually beneficial long-term relationships with funders.

- Experience of targeting large grant-making bodies and securing 5-6 figure grants

- Expert knowledge of fundraising landscape, particularly Trusts & Foundations.

This job requires a motivated individual who has a passion for all those within our Batten community and a strong desire to support the development and financial growth of the BDFA. The role is full time (35 hours per week) and is home based with occasional travel to Yorkshire (where the CEO is based) and around the UK to meet donors and support fundraising events.

The Programme Officer will be based within the Postgraduate Studies team in our Education and Training Division. With a growing programme portfolio and increasing number of students, the post-holder will provide administrative support for the delivery of postgraduate programmes at Anna Freud.

Working under direction and daily supervision from their line manager, and alongside the direction of the relevant Programme Directors, the post-holder will work as part of a wider team of Programme Officers. The most substantive element of the post will entail providing programme administration support. This will include supporting the delivery of key elements of the student life cycle to provide a high-quality service to prospective and current students as well as programme staff. In addition to providing specialist support to enhance the student experience, the post-holder will contribute to a range of other activities to support the delivery of Postgraduate Studies.

The Programme Officer is a pivotal role in Postgraduate Studies team. The post-holder must be a team player that is efficient, organized and flexible as they will be joining a fast-paced and growing team.
