We currently support over 150 schools with a volunteer network of around 1500 volunteers delivering over 40,000 reading sessions every year. The Role 
As a Volunteer Support Executive, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a positive, rewarding experience for our volunteers while helping us make a real difference in children’s lives. This is an extremely busy and varied role as we help prepare volunteers to deliver impactful sessions and support them in the booking process. 

As a Volunteer Support Executive, you will:

• Support volunteers at every stage of their journey, from application and onboarding to ongoing engagement.

JOB PURPOSE

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead on the launch of a new RG proposition and ensure that the onboarding and onward journey is fit for purpose.

• Look for opportunities to thank our donors and communicate impact at key moments. 

• Work with key stakeholders to ensure we grow our Regular Giving file, through acquisition as well as retention.

• Manage a variety of individual giving fundraising campaigns, from agency briefing, through to launch, meeting six figure campaign targets. 

• Work with digital fundraising colleagues to create integrated, multichannel campaigns and an effective, donor-first giving journey. 

• Remain flexible and rapidly respond to emergency situations. 

• Work with the Data team to identify the best approach to data and segmentation for each project.

• Manage production processes, developing supplier briefs and managing approval stages and end of campaign reviews. 

• Manage donor research and mystery shopping as required, using insights to inform creative decisions. 

• Manage campaign fulfilment. Monitor responses to identify issues and opportunities. 

• From time-to-time support with Donor Care activities if required.

• Ensure cost effective fundraising, manage individual campaign budgets and identify opportunities to improve ROIs. 

• Stay up to date with issues affecting displaced & refugee communities, campaigns from international teams and reports from the field. Scope new fundraising themes. 

• Share creative and insights with UK colleagues, global markets and HQ, participating in training seminars, workshops and international skill shares where applicable.

Role Purpose:

The Circle is an alternative to A&E for young people and children who are finding it hard to cope with their mental health, when medical intervention might not be necessary. We provide one-off in the moment support, and we are open every day of the year with no waiting list.

Mental health advisors are part of the core team, supporting children and young people aged 5-18 and their families every day. You are expected to work within HFEH Mind’s policies and procedures, and adhere to our code of conduct/values.

This role will suit those that have worked with vulnerable children in the past, including, but not limited to, support workers, CAMHS workers and mental health workers. We work within a diverse borough, and look to reflect this in our team.

Job Summary:

The mental health advisor role is a key part of the delivery of the Circle, working on the frontline to support young people and their families who are finding it hard to cope. They will conduct hour long, one-off sessions with children and young people aged 5-18, providing: safety planning, coping mechanisms, psychoeducation, and signposting, and supporting in de-escalation. This will be delivered with a non-judgemental and empathetic approach.

As a mental health advisor, you will need to be ready to respond in the moment to presenting (often unknown) concerns. You will have to dynamically risk assess situations, and be confident in raising concerns when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Delivery:

• Work as part of a team to provide support to service users and their families.
• Work within the Circle framework, and follow all HFEH Mind’s policies and procedures.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic team administrator to join our small, friendly and relaxed team at SCONUL, the professional association for academic and research libraries. The team currently works one to two days a week from our modern offices close to Euston station and the remainder of the week from home. 

You will be responsible for providing administrative support across all aspects of the organisation’s work, including diary management, the organisation of meetings and supporting the delivery of the SCONUL Access Scheme. We are looking for a Development Officer to support Portsmouth Cathedral’s fundraising and development activities. This new role, which is grant funded by the Cathedrals Sustainability Fund for 24 months, will work closely with the Head of Development & Fundraising to grow income, improve communication with donors, and help deliver key projects that support the Cathedral’s mission. Woodfield Park CommUnity Project is a new and developing project which aims to bring together residents and support social cohesion through developing and delivering a varied programme of activities delivered from the Community Centre which will provide a space for residents to meet and build relationships.

Summary of job:

To work to core community development principles with community empowerment central to all work; - Supporting residents and local communities to play an active role in their community - and encouraging resident involvement in decision making - promoting integration and cohesion within and between communities in the Welland area.

This post will support local groups and organisations to initiate and develop services that enable the community to build their own capacity.

• We are looking for someone who is passionate about engaging with local communities and coproduction and can quickly establish a network of contacts with key workers in the community from the public, private and voluntary sectors. We want someone who can work with the local community to support and encourage their involvement in local needs led service development including establishment of relationships and mechanisms that support effective consultation and engagement with the local community to support meaningful involvement in decision making processes for the development of services.

Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):

• Educated to level 3 or above with a recognised professional qualification in community engagement/development work, health, education, or equivalent experience within these fields.

• Experience of recruiting, managing, and retaining volunteers. 

• An understanding of how social exclusion, deprivation and marginalisation impacts upon communities, families, and individuals. 

• The ability to produce good quality written reports and materials. 

• Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to establish productive relationships with elected members, external organisations and local residents; 

• Experience of establishing and supporting the development of volunteer led committees/ steering groups.

• Understand the importance and principles of community involvement, participation and co-production.

What Makes This Role Special

This role combines essential Salesforce administration skills with a hands-on data management. While you'll need strong Salesforce technical capabilities for system configuration, user management, and troubleshooting, much of your day-to-day work will involve processing and maintaining supporter data. What You'll Do

Salesforce Administration:

• Manage Salesforce CRM including user management, permissions, system configuration, and security
• Deploy updates, maintain custom fields and flows, and ensure data integrity

• Process and maintain data from multiple external platforms and income sources
• Keep supporter records up to date including addresses, direct debit details, and preferences

The Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation is a drug and alcohol education charity that aims to support young people to make safe choices about drugs and alcohol and reduce harm. We do this through increasing understanding of the effects and risks, and helping to develop life skills and resilience. The Foundation was set up in January 2014 by Tim and Fiona Spargo-Mabbs in response to the death of their 16-year-old son Daniel having taken ecstasy

We are recruiting an Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role will work closely with the Director to provide Executive Assistant support; work with the Head of Operations to provide HR and finance administration and coordination; and will provide general administrative support across the staff team. This is a new post to support our ever-growing work, and will be based in our Purley office.

Suitable candidates will:

• be passionate about supporting young people to make safer choices about drugs and alcohol
• have experience of providing EA support
• have experience and confidence of using financial data and of coordinating both finance and HR-related processes

The Women Off to Work (WOW) Training & Engagement Project Connector will play a key role in engaging and recruiting local women onto this employability programme, and supporting them to access accredited and non-accredited training courses through inclusive outreach, programme support, co-design of training opportunities and workshops.

The role will also involve building and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders (education, corporate, community partners) to enhance the programmes delivery and impact whilst also generating opportunities for women to gain both paid and unpaid work experience.

About the Project

We are delighted to have been awarded funding by the National Lottery to deliver a third phase of our incredibly popular Women Off to Work (WOW) programme. Since 2017, WOW has supported hundreds of local women from predominantly Global Majority communities through holistic training and pathways into work programme.

WoW delivers a blend of life and vocational skills training, promoting general employability and improved wellbeing through work experience placements, internships, job brokerage, practical advice on self-employment and micro-businesses, ESOL classes and more. The programme provides women with opportunities to gain formal and accredited training qualifications and provide support with tailored into-work action plans.

The CSE Team Leader will play a crucial role in supporting the Operations Manager and wider Basis management team to oversee the delivery of 1:1 and group-based support to young people in our service offering high quality, effective safety advice, information and support, enabling young people to navigate exploitative and abusive relationships. The Team Leader will hold a protected caseload to enable them to carry out their other duties.

The Role includes line managing the staff on the Young People’s Team, supporting with reports, recruitment and safeguarding. The role will work to ensure young people receive an exceptional service and contribute to the strategic development of Basis.

The Young People’s team work across Leeds and Bradford providing specialist support to young people experiencing CSE.  The team work to Basis’ organisational values, taking a harm reduction approach to enable and empower young people to make positive choices, whilst working to reduce risk.  The team have an established reputation for providing high quality, effective safety advice, information and support, enabling young people to navigate exploitative and abusive relationships.  Services are provided within the community, at venues as young people determine.
