About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to deliver high-quality family support services as part of our Thames Valley Team.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager and working in partnership with health, education, and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social, and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you will have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss, and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

Location:

This role covers Thames Valley and surrounding areas. The role does require travel, however you have the freedom to plan your own diary around the demands of both the families you are working with, your team, and also any personal appointments you may need to attend.

About the Role

To work as part of a team that delivers an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported or community-based accommodation. Our work is underpinned by the Endeavour model of assets-based, psychologically informed delivery. The aim of this is to ensure that every client leaves the service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.

Working under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for managing the building to ensure that the accommodation provided to the clients is safe and secure through the provision of overnight concierge service, security and door control. This includes controlling access to buildings, being the first point of contact for all emergencies and carrying out Health and Safety checks and cleaning.

Key responsibilities include:

• You will always ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service possible including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable.
• You will provide a basic first contact advice response and security service at night to clients living in the property and/or in dispersed accommodation linked to the service
• You will be the first point of contact for visitors, contractors or services visiting the building at night
• You will be responsible for maintaining Health and Safety standards on the premises and a point of information for clients regarding Health and Safety at night
• You will actively ensure the security of the building through regular checks, and monitoring.

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

• An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use or care leavers.
• Experience in managing the overnight safety of vulnerable clients preferably in supported housing.
• Good written and spoken communication skills to ensure the accurate handover of information both verbally and in writing between shifts.
• Experience in undertaking basic maintenance and/or delivering cleaning services.
• Commitment to promoting an environment, which has the highest regard for the Health and Safety of others.
• Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures.
• Commitment to working in a manner, which promotes diversity and equality ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and dignity and no one, suffers from discrimination.

We are seeking an experienced IAA Immigration Advisor to join our friendly team. We need a qualified IAA Level 2 or Level 3 immigration advisor, or a solicitor/barrister with immigration experience. In this role, you will work with marginalised adults and families, guiding them through complex immigration journeys with compassion and professionalism. Thus, the qualified immigration advisor will play a critical role in helping people find hope and stability in the challenging environment of being a migrant in the UK.

You as the immigration advisor will take a holistic approach to supporting and empowering our service users/clients, working with the rest of the ICN team and partner organisations to ensure their needs are met and barriers addressed. Specifically, you will manage your own immigration caseload, concentrating on applications involving family, private life and other human rights matters as well as protection routes. Although ICN does not currently take on asylum cases, you will provide information, advice and referral to other organisations for people seeking asylum.

What's the Job?

LSESU is looking for a proactive and driven Facility Supervisor to support the daily operation of our sports facilities, with focus on our gym spaces. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the spaces, from health and safety compliance to customer service excellence. You’ll also manage internal bookings and enquiries from our gym members.
 

The role will require to work on shifts, to be agreed with the Facility Coordinator and with our commitment to avoid unsociable hours and weekends, although may be required on occasion.
 

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Facility Coordinator to deliver the strategic vision for our facilities, focusing on enhancing the user experience. You will actively contribute to training procedures, incident reporting, and various administrative tasks. 
 

You’ll collaborate closely with both staff and students, playing an active part in day-to-day operations and strategic development of the sports facilities. Your work will have a direct impact on the student experience at LSE, ensuring the seamless running of the facilities and supporting continuous improvements and innovations.

Age UK Croydon’s very successful Personal Safety Project (Falls Prevention) for older people in Croydon is recruiting a new Customer Service Liaison/Administrator. If you are an enthusiastic, passionate and organised individual, this could be the role for you.

Our Personal Safety Project (PSP) is a free service which aims to help older people who have fallen or are at risk of falling at home. The service is available to anyone aged 50 and over who lives in the borough of Croydon.

Our trained assessors carry out a comprehensive risk assessment to identify potential causes of falls and hazards in the home and can arrange for stair rails, grab handles and other necessary aids to be supplied and/or fitted, free of charge. The project can provide ongoing telephone support for up to six weeks to monitor the risk of further falls post engagement.

About the role

You‘ll provide support for Young Carers to reduce the impact of their caring role and improve their resilience, educational chances and wellbeing, through signposting to local services, in-school support, one-to-one sessions, and workshops.

There will be opportunities to work closely with schools, Children’s Services and other agencies to raise awareness, identify hidden Young Carers, and ensure Young Carer needs are understood and acted on.

You will need to be confident, approachable and self-motivated, with the ability to quickly establish rapport with children and young people. Applicants should have relevant experience of working or volunteering in education, health or social care, or be looking to start a career working with children or young people.

This is a part-time role, ideally working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (including occasional early evenings). The role is 9 months fixed-term with a potential 3 month extension.

About the Role

MSI seeks a Global Programme & Philanthropy Manager for the WISH2 WACA programme. As part of the project management team, the  Global Programme & Philanthropy Manager (GPPM)  will contribute to the fulfilment of an MSI-led consortium’s mission, taking responsibility for the management of sub-contracts for a number of consortium partners, supporting them to deliver their commitments under the project (including payment by results KPIs), ensuring adherence to donor compliance standards, and the delivery of internal commitments under the project by MSI’s Global Support Office.  In addition, the GPPM will lead project management support for a portfolio of MSI country programmes, working closely with MSI’s Africa team, and WISH2 Country Project Leads supporting consortium KPI monitoring, risk management, work-planning and monitoring. 

In addition, s/he will lead on key pieces of work under the project results verification and learning component that the Evidence & Learning Partner (E&L) has responsibility for, coordinating technical inputs across key thematic areas (e.g. advocacy, social norms, disability inclusion etc…), interacting with technical leadership from within the project, coordinating Technical Working Groups and providing technical leadership where appropriate. 

The role will be based either in London or Dakar.

About the Role:

As a Young People Case Worker, you’ll work as part of a team delivering an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported or community based accommodation.  The aim of which is to ensure that every client leaves the service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives. Working under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.

In accommodation based services you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on.

Where the client lives in the community you will ensure that their tenancy is not at risk and that they have the skills and resources to manage and maintain their accommodation.

• Supporting clients in maintaining their tenancy and preparing for independent living
