Summary

WE ARE LOOKING FOR ASSISTANT CASE OFFICER TO WORK WITHIN OUR MISSION AND PASTORAL SERVICES TEAM

The Church Commissioners have the governance and management responsibility for the Mission and Pastoral Measure 2011, which provides a regulatory framework which enables the Church to support the provision of local worship, mission and ministry, and to adapt that provision as circumstances change over time. The Measures provides a decision-making process for changes relating to pastoral change, ministry provision change and church building change. The Commissioners also deal with processes under the Church Property Measure 2018 and the Church Commissioners' Chancel Repair Liability Measure.

The purpose of the role is to oversee and manage the decision making processes and provide advice under the Mission and Pastoral Measure 2011 (MPM), the Church Property Measure 2018 (CPM), and related legislation (including the Patronage (Benefices) Measure 1986 and the Church Representation Rules, and responsibilities relating to chancel repair liability (CRL). A major part of the team's role is to support the transition from the existing MPM, to a new Measure, and the related transition programme which will be rolled out to dioceses and parishes over between 2024 to 2027.

The Assistant CO post will work with mainly with the M&PS case officers to decision making and case work under the requirements of the legislation set out above. They will also work closely with the team managers to plan and manage the casework load and support the decision making processes of the Mission, Pastoral and Church Property Committee.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct research into a range of technical and legal matters, including verifying the legal names of parishes and benefices, patronage details, and responding to related queries.

• Draft and publish Mission and Pastoral Measure (MPM) schemes for consultation, ensuring accuracy and clarity throughout the process.

• Support Case Officers in presenting MPM or Church Property Measure (CPM) decisions to the Mission, Pastoral and Church Property Committee, and assist with any subsequent appeals.

• Assist the M&PS Operations Manager in planning committee visits, public hearings, and other operational tasks associated with committee meetings.

• Contribute to the planning and monitoring of casework and performance reporting, working closely with the M&PS Operations Manager.

• Coordinate and manage internal and external meeting processes related to the above functions, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

• Provide administrative support for the implementation of the new Mission and Pastoral Measure and the Measure concerning Chancel Repair Liability.

• Offer support in record management and data governance, including preparing briefings and information for performance and risk management purposes using dedicated data systems.

• Help the M&PS Operations Manager with planning and coordinating team activities such as monthly meetings, away days, and special events.

• Assist with communications activities, including the distribution of regular e-newsletters to diocesan teams.

• Support the coordination and promotion of the diocesan training programme.

• Assist with financial processes related to departmental expenditure, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

• Contribute to audit and risk management processes, maintaining high standards of accountability.

• Provide briefings and information to support internal NCI processes, including responses to General Synod or Parliamentary questions, and preparing materials for the Board of Governors and senior officers.

• Deliver general administrative support to the M&PS team, including handling post and printing tasks.

• Undertake any required specialist or generalist training to support the role effectively.

All responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the Mission and Pastoral Measure Code of Recommended Practice.

• Experienced in drafting agendas, preparing papers, and recording accurate minutes.

Desirable skills

• Experience managing complex administration legal systems.

• A salary of £40,572, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

About the Role

You will:

• Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people with disabilities, in and on the edges of the care system. You will hold a caseload, and be committed to championing the rights of these young people, working with a broad range of other stakeholders and agencies to do so.
• Support with developing the quality of services and projects delivered by Coram Voice to children and young people. This includes under Coram Voice’s Disability Outreach Project. It is an exciting time to join this project, which has recently expanded to include educational advocacy in addition to social care focused advocacy.
• You will support in the promotion of good practice across both Coram Voice and external organisations, building equitable and inclusive practice across the sector for children and young people with disabilities.

Our advocates will have relevant experience with children and young people, and may hold a suitable Advocacy Qualification. For the right candidate, we may also be able to offer this post as a Trainee position, and offer support to gain qualifications. The salary offered will reflect the candidate’s experience and skills.

What the job involves

The Policy and Health Influencing team is responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.

As the Policy and Health Influencing Coordinator, you're key to supporting the policy and health influencing team, and teams across the Health Services, Equity and Improvement Directorate when needed. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work for example, at times arranging important stakeholder events and meetings and ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capture the outcomes of our external engagement.

In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator who knows how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.

With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. You’ll have some experience or interest in working in the health or volunteer sector. You’re also quick to learn and capable at picking up new systems including those for budget management and product fulfilment.

Croydon Drop In (CDI) are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic practitioner to work within our award-winning Voluntary Sector services. The post-holder will work within our safeguarding protocols to provide safe interventions for Neurodivergent children, young people and families using evidence-based methodologies. Information about the Job Role

This full-time role will be best suited for applicants who are able to balance a busy work schedule being both office based and community based, working mainly with 16 – 25 year old children, young people and their families, and delivering workshops and one to one support in a range of community based settings, and at CDI sites. • Leading development, delivery and monitoring the Federation Sustainability Strategy
• Provide high quality reporting to Federation senior leaders on environmental and sustainability performance
• Champion sustainability and environmental consideration as a key element of all property decision making including the development of our estate strategy
• In academies embed behaviour change, improving biodiversity of the estate, delivering on Net Zero (driving the reduction in creating carbon and heat emissions)

We are seeking an enthusiastic person to be part of a small, busy Marketing and Communications Team that covers all areas of the charity’s work in education, residential services and community services. The Association of Anaesthetists is a membership organisation for Anaesthetists with over 10,000 members. Our main aims are to advance and improve patient care and safety and to promote and support education and research in the field of anaesthesia. We represent, protect, support, and advance the interests of our members.

Job purpose:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Membership Administrator to serve as the first point of contact for our members and to provide dedicated support to the networks of the Association, namely our Links network and mentor network. This dual-focused role is integral to ensuring an outstanding member experience, while also fostering strong engagement and coordination within our national networks.

This role will work with the rest of the membership team to ensure membership processes are being adhered to and ensuring that all member enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner. This role will contribute to improving systems and processes in collecting subscriptions in the most efficient way and to maximise subscription income by carrying out membership recruitment and engagement plans.

This role will be responsible for supporting, coordinating, and enhancing the effectiveness of the organisation’s networks to ensure a thriving, well-connected community that reflects the needs and interests of our members.

Hybrid working:

This role is based at our head office in 21 Portland Place, London. We offer a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.

Key responsibilities:

Member recruitment, engagement and support

Act as the first point of contact for phone calls and emails with members and potential members to maximise both recruitment and retention opportunities and deal with all enquiries in an efficient way.

Assist in maintaining and developing a system for membership renewals, which includes follow-up letters and phone calls encouraging members to renew.

Provide accurate information and support to new applicants, including actively promoting membership services and benefits.

Assist the Membership & Specialist Societies Manager in delivering membership recruitment and retention strategies. Proactively contact schools of anaesthesia and hospital trusts to promote awareness and distribute our resources.

Work with the Digital Communications team to raise awareness of all member benefits. Continually review the website to ensure membership section is relevant and up to date and act as a membership champion across the Association.

To be a membership ambassador for the Association and help promote membership at external conferences and events including lunch and learns and Association conferences.

Data management and reporting

To monitor all new member applications and to help process new, renewed and existing memberships in the CRM/relevant database if needed. Enter and amend financial data relating to subscriptions.

To carry out user acceptance testing as and when needed, to log tickets related to CRM issues.

Update individual membership records e.g. addresses, membership categories, etc, as well as dealing with email bounce backs and returned mail. To update deceased members and mailing preferences as and when we receive notifications.

To have a detailed understanding of data protection legislation and implement best practices from the data protection policy and the new legislation for GDPR.

Export the mailing list for printed copies of the magazine and journal each month and the ESAIC Associate Member request list to ESAIC twice a year.

Contribute to regular data cleansing exercises to ensure that the membership database is maintained and refreshed to certify its validity.

Network Support

Act as the main liaison for Association networks (e.g., Links and mentors networks), providing administrative support, and sending out communication to them.

Work with network leads and membership management to ensure accurate sharing of updates, best practice, and resources across the network, via e-shots or other communication channels. Assist in organising network meetings and events.

Support strategies on how to grow networks, liaising with relevant team members and clinicians on these. Monitor activity across the network to help identify opportunities for collaboration, improvement, or celebration.

Maintain a directory of the networks and manage documentation and files related to network schemes. Ensure network resources and information is updated on Association’s website

Team support

Prioritise the workload of the membership team as agreed with the Membership & Specialist Societies Manager, alerting any delays or problems with the administration of membership.

Key Tasks

Quality Assurance

· Management of various stakeholder compliance schedules, which have been set up to facilitate timely reporting of required assurance data (including quarterly safeguarding report and bi-annual safeguarding audit).

· Responsible for collating data and writing reports required to for monthly, quarterly and annual quality reporting. This involves liaising with key personnel across several departments to ensure the data is received in good time in order to produce and publish reports to set schedules.

· Responsible for ensuring that various Hospice departments produce and share their required reports for appropriate sharing with stakeholders ahead of attendance at meetings as required.

· Support the Hospice Executive Management Team to respond to information requests in a timely manner and within regulatory bodies timescales.

· Managing audit processes throughout the Hospice to a schedule set at the beginning of each year

· Managing Policy Reviews to a set schedule, ensuring that each Hospice Department reviews existing policies or produces new policies as required.

· Attendance at appropriate meetings such as internal Clinical Governance/Patient Safety Meetings and Contract, Quality and Performance Group Meetings with M&C ICB

· Maintenance of the Hospice Risk Register.

· Assist the incident reporting processes, supporting the investigation of incidents as required.

· Ensuring appropriate incident reporting to external stakeholders in a robust and timely manner.

· Liaise with external colleagues as required to feed into locality data collection, such as Hospice Collaborative and Hospice UK requirements.

· Managing patient and carer feedback processes, including working with the Hospice Patient and Carer Representative.

· Managing the Hospice Clinical Governance/Patient Safety Meeting. Setting up a meeting schedule, setting an agenda for the meeting. Ensuring minutes of the meeting are produced. Preparing a Quality Assurance Report for the meeting for discussion at the meeting.

· Supplying reports as requested for the Hospice Board of Trustee meetings.

· Managing the production of the Hospice annual Quality Account, ensuring that it is produced on time for presentation to stakeholders and then having the final version ready for publication at the end of June.

· Assisting the Controlled Drug Accountable Officer with appropriate reporting.

· Assisting the Registered Manager with appropriate notifications to the Care Quality Commission.

· Managing the collation, processing and maintenance of up-to-date patient data appropriate to facilitate external and internal reporting

Ensuring that the Hospice is familiar with the latest requirements from CQC in terms of evidencing Quality Statements and inspection processes. Assessing how the Hospice meets the Quality Statements and having the assessment of evidence of compliance available. Also ensuring that any gaps in evidence have action plans.
