We are a recruiting a Project Co-ordinator for a new project funded by the Trust for London and in partnership with the London and South East Network for Job Retention. The Network is made up of providers who offer in-work support and so will be a key source of information and guidance to the postholder.

The London Work Resource Project Co-ordinator will research and review models of career progression support for people with mental health issues who are in low paid work. This is in response to a growing awareness of in-work poverty and of the need to provide high standard in work support.

We are looking to recruit someone who has experience of research or evaluation, an understanding of equality and employment issues, knowledge of HR practices and has experience of providing employment support to this client group.

  • Establish relationships with employers, HR departments, occupational health and trade unions
  • Identify the key employment focused issues that prevent clients from securing better paid work within their current employment of with a new employer
  • Work with clients to identify non-work issues that impact on clients securing better paid work (for example, low self-confidence)
  • Review current models of support
  • Test models of support with the Retention Network providers

The project aims to deliver:

  • Best practice models of in-work support
  • Best practice models of employer engagement
  • Provide evidence to key stakeholders such as commissioners and employers

The post will normally be based in our office in Bethnal Green although it will also include meetings with employers, clients and other providers across London.Due to the Coronavirus pandemic the post will need to be home-based for some time with online and phone meetings replacing face to face meetings.

Please attach your personal statement to the end of your CV.  The statement should address how your experience and skills meet the requirements set out in the person specification.

The deadline for applications is Thursday 23rd April November at 9am.  An initial short-list will be compiled and selected candidates will be contacted for a screening interview during the week beginning 30 April.Formal interviews will be held on the 7 May.  We may choose the close the advert earlier if sufficent applications are received.
