Job description

St. Peter’s Hospice is a highly respected charity with a mission to transform the experience of death through understanding, compassion, and care.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic social worker to join our supportive and skilled social work team.

This is an opportunity to experience a different kind of social work—one that is holistic, person-centred, and grounded in compassion. You’ll work with people with life-limiting illnesses, along with their carers and families.  We provide practical and emotional support throughout the palliative stage, through to bereavement, with a focus on maximising quality of life, dignity, and wellbeing.

Working as part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, you’ll also collaborate closely with local statutory and voluntary partners across our communities. As an ambitious charity, we’re developing new ways of reaching people earlier in their journey, supporting them in their own communities, and helping them plan ahead.

Details:

  • 22.5 hours per week, Monday - Wednesday
  • Band 6 salary, £38,633 - £45,861 per annum, FTE, dependent on experience
  • Permanent position

We’re looking for a compassionate, forward-thinking professional with strong prioritisation skills to support with the leadership of our experienced social work assistants.
