Night Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.

The shift pattern of this role consist of: Week 1: Moff, T10, W10, Toff, Foff, Soff, S10
Week 2: M10, Toff, Woff, Toff, F10, S10, Soff

What you'll do:
- Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
- Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
- Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
- Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
- Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance to support customers to independent living e.g. budgeting, cooking, establishing a night time routine
- Supporting customers to maintain a healthy environment and where appropriate assisting them to clean their accommodation and maintain good personal hygiene
- Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents
- Managing customer referrals, completing assessments and obtaining and maintaining all relevant paperwork Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes
- Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the health and safety of yourself and colleagues
- Involving customers in the design, development and delivery of the service - Encouraging and enabling tenants to pay their rent and avoid personal debt

We’re recruiting multiple Support Workers (known internally as a Project Worker) to join several of our services across London. Whether it’s through semi-independent housing, mental health support, or complex needs accommodation, you’ll play a key role in helping people on their recovery journey. 

We work with a Recovery Based Approach , tailoring support to each individual’s needs and goals.

Endell Street, Covent Garden – 2 x Support Workers 

Endell Street supports 53 men and women experiencing homelessness. We provide psychologically informed support to help residents progress through the Camden Hostels Pathway toward independence. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support clients with housing, health, substance use, and employment needs. We’re looking for someone resilient, trauma-informed, and relationship-focused. 

Rosebery Avenue, Clerkenwell – 1 x Support Worker 

Rosebery Avenue is a 24/7 Skills and Employment service with 22 self-contained flats. The focus is on helping residents move into training, education, or work. You’ll join a small, dedicated team in a psychologically informed environment, working closely with partners like St Mungo’s Recovery College to deliver tailored support. 

Islington Mental Health Service, Islington – 1 x Support Worker 

This service supports 50 adults with severe and enduring mental health needs across two hostels and two semi-independent projects. You’ll provide person-centred, trauma-informed support to help residents build confidence, develop life skills, and work toward independent living. 

About You 

Above all, you will have a genuine desire to support people to transform their lives. If you have a good understanding of the complex issues faced by homeless people; personal experience of homelessness yourself and some experience of supporting vulnerable people through a process of change, we encourage you to apply.  

You'll also need good interpersonal and listening skills; patience and resilience. We will provide you with the knowledge and training you need to work with clients in a holistic and person-centred way.

A Support Worker will help to enable vulnerable people with complex support needs to manage their licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.

The shift pattern of the role consist of: 40 hours 1 x scattered site 2 x Pound Lane Shift pro-rota 7.30-3.30 and 1.30 -9.30 shift pattern with weekends included.

Purpose of Job

To deliver a high-quality service to and facilitate opportunities for individuals with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families/carers through Shine membership.  To empower and enable members Living with the conditions to lead healthy and happy lives through greater independence, better condition management and by creating links to the Shine community across England.

SHINE has over 14,500 members with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. This post will bring a real focus to the Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk area and will be an exciting opportunity to engage with members and develop and deliver the services we offer.

Our Little Stars project for 0–12 year olds has been established for over 3 years supporting younger members and their families with their diagnosis and beyond. We also have a growing Teen membership known as FIRE (Friendship, Independence, Resilience, Equality) Working alongside our multi skilled, established team, you will be supporting members across all age groups and building on the great foundations already in place.

We are looking for someone who can cover the Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk area. You will be home based but will be required to attend clinics in this area and London, events and meet members one to one where necessary within your allocated area and occasionally across wider areas and nationally.

You will work closely with our existing team, supporting the delivery and organisation of the IntoUniversity programme in the centre.

The main duties of the role

To deliver the IntoUniversity programme effectively to children and young people in different settings, including schools-based workshops, Academic Support sessions and educational visits. This includes positive behaviour management and adherence to the IntoUniversity safeguarding policy.

• To assist with the organisation and delivery of the Academic Support, FOCUS and Mentoring Programmes.
• To assist the IntoUniversity Centre Leader in liaising with schools and other partner bodies, in organising the classroom and resources and in planning project delivery. 
• To update and maintain IntoUniversity displays, publicity and resources.
• To work with the IntoUniversity Centre Leader to recruit children and young people to the programme, including after-school Academic Support and FOCUS Weeks. 
• To develop educational resources and worksheets for use across all IntoUniversity programmes. 
• To ensure compliance with all necessary regulations and legal requirements, including the Children’s Act,  Children and Young People (Scotland) Act, Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act, Protection of Vulnerable  Groups (Scotland) Act, and legislation and policies related to Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety.

• Work with volunteers to deliver one-to-one weekly sessions to check-in on individual progress, guide and motivate them.
• Build relationships with the young people and keep them engaged.

Spear Career

• Maintain contact with trainees and continue relationships with them to keep track of their progress into employment and encourage them.
• Maintain records through data gathering and data entry into Salesforce.

Relationship management

• Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses and other organisations.
• Participate in job fairs, run taster sessions, recruit and support volunteers for mock interview days, and welcome visitors to the centre.

Church community

• Fully engage with the Trinity and St Paul’s staff teams, including participation in staff prayers, socials and retreat days.
• Be an advocate for the Spear Programme within the life of the church, including the recruitment of volunteers.

Endell Street, Covent Garden – 2 x Support Workers 

Endell Street supports 53 men and women experiencing homelessness. We provide psychologically informed support to help residents progress through the Camden Hostels Pathway toward independence. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support clients with housing, health, substance use, and employment needs. We’re looking for someone resilient, trauma-informed, and relationship-focused. 

Rosebery Avenue, Clerkenwell – 1 x Support Worker 

Rosebery Avenue is a 24/7 Skills and Employment service with 22 self-contained flats. The focus is on helping residents move into training, education, or work. You’ll join a small, dedicated team in a psychologically informed environment, working closely with partners like St Mungo’s Recovery College to deliver tailored support. 

Islington Mental Health Service, Islington – 1 x Support Worker 

This service supports 50 adults with severe and enduring mental health needs across two hostels and two semi-independent projects. You’ll provide person-centred, trauma-informed support to help residents build confidence, develop life skills, and work toward independent living. 

About You 

Above all, you will have a genuine desire to support people to transform their lives. If you have a good understanding of the complex issues faced by homeless people; personal experience of homelessness yourself and some experience of supporting vulnerable people through a process of change, we encourage you to apply.  

You'll also need good interpersonal and listening skills; patience and resilience. We will provide you with the knowledge and training you need to work with clients in a holistic and person-centred way.

Rape Crisis South London is looking for a skilled and experienced professional who is passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. 
 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead on the delivery of the South West London (SWL) Child Sexual Abuse Early Emotional Support Service for the CYP service. Working closely with the NHS and Schools you will manage a small specialist counselling team ensuring high-quality, trauma informed support for our young people who have experienced sexual violence. It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of Safeguarding legislation for children and adults, as well as child development. 
 

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and an ability to develop partnerships with schools, families, funders and other key stakeholders. You will hold a relevant professional qualification in counselling or psychotherapy and be registered with the BACP/UKCP or equivalent. You will have significant experience of working therapeutically with children and young people, ideally in the contexts of trauma or abuse. 
 

Responsible to the Clinical Lead for CYP you will also provide additional support in the management and allocation of referrals, as well as provide additional support and advice as required to the wider CYP Service.

About the role

Newnham College is seeking to recruit a dynamic and pro-active person to take on the role of Deputy Development Director to support the Development Director in the management and running of the College’s Development Office.  This role will focus on developing productive relationships with College alumnae and donors, provide oversight of all aspects of gift processing, data  management and prospect research and regular giving and provide line management and leadership for the Development team. Specific responsibilities for this role include the College’s donor stewardship and legacy fundraising programmes, and working with the Development Director supporting and developing relationships with existing and potential donors.

This is a permanent, full-time post, working 37.5 hours a week. The salary is paid at point 51 on the University’s single salary spine, the current value for which is £50,253 per annum. Flexibility is a requirement as a large number of events are in the evenings and at the weekend and some travel involving over-night stays may be required occasionally. We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Complex Needs Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to service users facing multiple challenges, including substance misuse, exiting sex work, domestic abuse, and co-existing issues such as low-level mental health needs. You will explore and address service users' needs, make referrals to relevant services, and ensure safeguarding concerns are managed in collaboration with social services, safeguarding leads, and mental health teams. The role also involves contributing to multi-agency meetings, maintaining accurate case notes, completing assessments, and reviewing safety plans. In addition, you will oversee housing maintenance by ensuring repairs are completed and health and safety guidelines are followed. This role is based on working Saturdays and Sundays 8am -2pm each week.
