Job Description

Job Purpose

To lead the operational delivery, activation, and ongoing management of two new public-facing community assets: an affordable workspace and a smart, environmentally sustainable event space. You will balance access, quality, and sustainability by ensuring these spaces meet the needs of Kilburn’s dynamic and diverse community, while also generating revenue to support their long-term viability.

Key Responsibilities:

Space Setup and Launch

• Oversee handover and mobilisation of the affordable workspace and event hall as they are phased in between Sep–Jan 2025
• Liaise with Brent Council, contractors, and partners during transition and setup

Facilities and Operations Management

• Ensure buildings are safe, welcoming, well-maintained, and sustainably run. Manage contractors responsible for building maintenance and upkeep.
• Manage lettings, bookings, and contracts for both spaces including catering kitchen
• Monitor budgets and report on commercial activity

Workspace Activation

• Programme and deliver enterprise-focused activities in the affordable workspace
• Build a local network of entrepreneurs and facilitate community connections
• Manage and pre-let additional studio spaces opening Dec 2025

Venue Promotion & Community Engagement

• Market the event hall as both a community asset and revenue-generating venue
• Balance community events (weddings, cultural events) with corporate hires (Mon–Thurs)

Strategy & Future Planning

• Contribute to visioning and strategic planning for long-term space management

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full support to the Head of Finance, especially in the preparation of year-end annual statutory accounts for the College and Trading Company including the audit.

The Role

Theirworld is seeking a proactive and collaborative Manager to support the development, delivery, and learning of education projects and innovation initiatives.

This role will work closely with the Director of Programmes and the wider Projects team to support the design and coordination of pilot projects that test bold, locally driven ideas across Theirworld’s three core pillars: Best Start in Life, A Safe Place to Learn, and Skills for the Future.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in project management and delivery, innovation support, and strong coordination skills. They will work with diverse stakeholders, including community-based organisations, youth leaders, education NGOs, and policy makers to identify promising solutions, facilitate Theirworld’s accelerator programme, and gather insights to inform our broader strategy. Job Title: Deputy Service Manager

Location: Based across 4 residential services based in Croydon (11 minute walk from East Croydon station) you will need to be able to travel between sites to provide full managerial support. Access to own transport is ideal. Please note that unfortunately this service does not have step free access

Salary: £30,200

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday between 08:00 - 20:00, you will work within these hours, as well as some evenings and weekends hours to ensure 24 hour seamless service delivery alongside the team. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota.

About the role

We're looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our residential service based in Croydon. You will support the Service Manager to provide leadership and line management to a team of Recovery Workers, Engagement Workers, and other frontline care and support staff. You will be present to ensure a quality service is delivered 24 hours a day, working closely with the night teams to ensure quality handovers. 

You will provide general leadership to the team so they feel empowered to be productive and perform well within their roles, supporting a service which focuses on Forensic Mental Health for 27 people across 4 sites in Croydon. The teams support our residents with person centred support to empower them to overcome their personal barriers with their mental health, and have greater independence and fulfilled living.

We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Communications & Campaigns Manager to join our team. The successful applicant will develop and deliver national campaigns, ensure our messages reach the right audiences and manage activity across multiple platforms. The vision and creativity to tell powerful stories about flooding and its devastating impact on individuals, communities and economies is essential, as is the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders with tact, sensitivity and authority.

Responsibilities

Strategic Communications & Storytelling

· Translating community activity and project work into compelling stories and campaigns that amplify the voices of those affected by flooding.

· Contributing creative ideas to increase awareness of an organisation’s work and impact.

Campaigns & Public Engagement

About the Ark Gedling The Ark Gedling is a Christian charity that exists for the prevention and relief of poverty and hardship; it is a UK registered charity and a member of Advice UK. It provides a community café, with a range of activities to support community development and mutual support, which operate in conjunction with advice sessions, so that local people receive expert advice alongside compassionate community support and empowerment. Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whose mission is to see a time when no deaf person feels alone, is seeking a Principal Gifts Manager responsible for identifying, cultivating and stewarding high-value donors to the charity giving £100,000 plus.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now looking to build a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to significantly grow and diversify income.

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, the post-holder will work closely with senior leaders, trustees and senior stakeholders to solicit high value gifts, typically of six and seven figures, and to build and deepen long-term relationships between donors and the charity. You will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of potential and current principal-level donors, as well as delivering exceptional stewardship journeys that demonstrate the impact and value of donor support.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in securing major gifts at the six-figure level or above, ideally in a principal or transformational giving context. You will be skilled at building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, as well as be experienced at developing and delivering complex donor strategies and bespoke giving propositions. Finally, it is important that you are a collaborative team player with strong project management and communication skills.
