The Role
What will I be doing?
As Accreditation Coordinator you will part of the Membership and Inclusion team. The role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, with an eye for detail and a commitment to upholding quality and standards. We are looking for an organised, resilient individual who can work without close supervision.
Duties include:
- Organising degree accreditation visits, accreditation events, and committee meetings
 - Responding to a wide range of enquiries from internation and external contacts
 - Conducting initial reviews of degree accreditation applications
 
Projects you work on may include:
- Development and delivery of assessor training
 - Supporting the development of a course endorsement scheme
 - Assisting with the enhancement of doctoral training accreditation
 
Who will I work with?
- Colleagues in Professional Registration, Policy, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
 - Senior academics in physics departments and university quality offices
 - IOP members who volunteer their time to support degree accreditation and professional registration

- A good knowledge of the higher education landscape

 - Experience in delivery high level administrative support with a strong attention to detail

The Role
What will I be doing?
As Project Officer, Workforce Partnerships, you’ll be part of the Education and Workforce team, supporting our mission to build a strong, diverse physics workforce for the future. Your work will help leverage our evidence and insights to identify and develop institutional partnerships through which we can deliver sustainable impact against our Skills priorities.
You will also take a lead in celebrating the crucial role of physics-related technical talent in the workplace through operational administration of our flagship Technical Skills Awards.
You’ll support the delivery of projects, working closely with colleagues across the organisation, IOP Members and external stakeholders.
Projects and activities you may work on include:
- Supporting stakeholder mapping and engagement activities to drive impactful new partnership development.
 - Helping to design and deliver workshops, events and engagement campaigns. As an example, this could include supporting the development of case studies, and digital and print collateral, to raise the awareness and visibility of physics-related routes to employment.
 - Leading the annual cycle of delivery, administration and operation of the IOP’s Technical Skills Awards.
 - Supporting the management of project processes including bids, contracts, MOUs, budgets and reporting.

What skills and experience do I need?
Essential:
- Project management, programme and events administration, with the ability to effectively manage multiple workstreams.
 - Experience writing and maintaining accurate documentation, including reporting for senior boards and committees.
 - Experience of developing partnerships with expertise in stakeholder management and engagement to drive organisational profile and influence.
 - Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to a diverse range of audiences through face to face, written and digital methods.
 
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with cross-functional collaboration, supporting alignment across diverse teams and disciplines
 - Knowledge of, or willingness to build, domain knowledge of skills stakeholder audiences

Since 1998 Here We Are (HWA) registered charity SC027715, has been a community resource providing information on the development and history of the parish of Cairndow/Kilmorich in Argyll. It seeks to maximise the benefits of stimulating and satisfying curiosity about a local community in order to bridge the gap between visitor and visited. It has an extensive collection of photographs and has mounted several online and physical exhibitions.
At its centre near Cairndow, at the head of Loch Fyne, HWA shows how a rural community, while loyal to its roots, makes its way in the modern world. HWA has created two renewable energy companies and is recognised as a social capital champion by Assist Social Capital and the Scottish Communities Foundation.
An opportunity has arisen to create a research and development role, and this would suit someone with a keen interest in social history or environmental history, particularly the effects on isolated and rural communities. Interest in providing interpretation to make this accessible to a wider audience would be desirable.
THE ROLE
This is an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team and take us forward in new directions.
As well as the research role, this position will include general administrative elements to support the team, meeting and greeting visitors, and the opportunity to develop bookkeeping skills. Training will be provided. Support can also be provided via Newcastle University’s history department for funding bids, collaborations and more.
We will be supportive of an applicant’s suggested initiatives.
PRIORITIES
· Creating links between the existing projects and archives generated by HWA and assisting in updating and extending them
· Developing new project ideas that link Landscape, Social History and the issues facing rural communities
· Building local and regional collaborations with other organisations to develop beneficial projects and activities and to raise the profile of HWA
TERMS
This position will be based at the Here We Are Centre (PA16 8BL) and is expected to be four days per week (0900 – 1500), although there is flexibility in this. This is an in person role.
Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 FTE pro rata for 22 hours per week
Holidays will be 5.6 weeks per year, pro rata, and HWA is closed over Christmas and New Year.

About the Role

About the Role

You will create and deliver inspiring campaigns, optimise donor journeys, and ensure excellent supporter stewardship. As the Fundraising and Engagement Manager you will support, develop and direct colleagues within the fundraising and engagement team leading on a range of activities and ensure that fundraising ideas and events are high profile and will generate funds. You will be able to reach fundraising targets and have a proven track record of tools used in fundraising such as Just Giving, legacy, Charity of the Year, media campaign and fundraising, face to face, corporate and strategic fundraising experience is also needed.
You will be proactive, work well on own and in team and have experience in delivering presentations and key messages to a range of audiences.

The Active Wellbeing Society (TAWS) are one of Sport England’s official delivery partners for This Girl Can, leading work on activating the campaign in Birmingham working alongside system partners.
We are looking for a Woman and Girls Lead to deliver the ‘This Girl Can - With You’ project across Birmingham.
The role includes peer relationships internally within TAWS but to also hold relationships with Sport England, place-based strategic partners (Birmingham City Council , Sport Birmingham) and IWG World Conference on Women & Sport attendees In Unity, United by 2022 Legacy Charity and Saheli Hub . With the aspiration of the role aligning to the IWG Women and Sport programme, IWG World Conference on Women & Sport and European Athletic Championships hosted by Birmingham 2026.
In this role of Woman and Girls Lead you will be pivotal in ensuring that the organisation’s contractual obligations and goals are achieved by collaborating with communities and partner organisations in the design and delivery of interventions. You will build connections and co-produce with local communities and key partners , creating activities based on identified need to increase opportunities that are more social, suitable, self-affirming and safe for women and girls. The role will support to connect and share learning across the system and use existing insight to help inform priorities/areas of need.
The role will report to the Midlands Regional Lead for Partnerships and New Business Development and be supported and guided by a Steering Group of wider partners, working closely with TAWS West Midlands Delivery Manager and Research and Performance team.

Together for Short Lives is a charity that makes sure seriously ill children and their families get the care they need, especially at the end of life. We work closely with families, care professionals, and services to improve children’s palliative care. We also speak up to government leaders and decision-makers to help make sure families have access to the best support when they need it.
Please note this a remote role with regular travel across Manchester, Lancashire and Cumbria
About the Role
As a Kentown Family Service Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for families referred into the Kentown programme, helping them navigate health, social care, and voluntary sector services. You will:
- Carry out family needs assessments and co-develop personalised support plans with families.
 - Build strong local relationships with health, education, and community services to ensure families can access the help they need.
 - Promote the work of the Kentown Programme and Together for Short Lives and raise awareness of children’s palliative care in the region.
 - Support family engagement events, training opportunities, and ongoing evaluation of the programme’s impact.
 - Work collaboratively with the Kentown team, sharing learning and best practice across regions.
 - This is a home-based role with travel across Lancashire, Cumbria, and Manchester.

About the role
The key functions of this role are to enable Practical Action to deliver on its strategy of delivering Climate Resilience outcomes through all our work, including in the Zurich Climate Resilience Programme (ZCRP), to ensure that our work is ‘climate risk informed’ and addresses the key drivers of climate vulnerability.
About you
We are seeking a passionate and committed individual, with proven experience of working in interpreting climate data in risk analysis and planning. You will have proven experience in capacity building needs analysis, coordinating and delivering training.

- To provide expertise in climate risk analysis to ensure that our programming is climate-smart, and risk informed.

About the role and you
The Web & Digital Manager will oversee our websites, paid media, and digital projects, to ensure they drive reach, engagement, and measurable impact. You’ll manage relationships with internal teams, external developers and agencies to lead on the digital strategy and performance, and support colleagues across the organisation to improve our digital presence.
