the3million is looking for a new Community Organiser to help us build the power of EU citizens in the UK and of their non-EU family members, working alongside two other Organisers in our team and the members of our EU Citizens’ Campaigns Network
Since Brexit, EU citizens in the UK and their family members have been brought under the Hostile Environment. the3million has been providing information to EU citizens and has continuously advocated for a fairer immigration system, especially in making the EU Settlement Scheme more accessible to all.
We provide a platform for EU citizens to become politically active and use their voices to advocate for themselves. The Community Organiser will be part of a team to create opportunities for EU citizens to have increased capacity to engage in activism and lead the change they want to see in the UK, their home.
This role is at an officer level and suitable for people who are looking for their first paid role in Organising, but have had some grassroots experience, even if on an informal or voluntary basis. You can expect to be mentored by an experienced Community Organiser and thereby learn a lot while on the job. More experienced candidates are also welcome to apply.We are currently in the process of applying for funding to extend this role. If we are successful, the contract will be extended by 2 years and we will work with the successful Organiser on a progression route, reviewing the job holder’s salary level after they have been in the role for 6 months.
Position type: Part time, between 3 to 4 days a week, depending on the successful candidate’s preference
Duration: 4 months (September - December 2024) with possibility of a 2 year extension from January 2025, subject to funding
Salary: £30,000-32,000, depending on experience, with possibility of salary increase subject to funding and successful probation period
Location: Remote, must be UK based. Regular travel across the country to meet local community groups. All travel expenses covered.

We are the leading organisation representing EU citizens and their non-EU family members in the UK. Our vision is a world where our communities can thrive, reach their potential and have an equal voice in UK society.
Our work ranges from monitoring the implementation of the UK-EU Withdrawal Agreement, advocating for the integration of EU citizens throughout all sections of society, informing people of their rights, promoting access to justice, and giving EU citizens a voice in British society to change the narrative on migration as a whole.
We are a grassroots and non-partisan organisation, working with a variety of stakeholders, from MPs to NGOs, legal advisors, the media and community leaders across civic society on specific issues affecting migrants’ rights. We regularly engage with the Home Office and its monitoring bodies to advocate for change.
**Duties and responsibilities **
1. Co-lead the3million’s “EU Citizens’ Campaigns Network”

Working with the Community Organiser - Campaigns to recruit more members of the EU Citizens’ Campaigns Network by regularly reaching out to relevant communities and booking 1-1 meetings with key community leaders;

Working with the Community Organiser - Campaigns to support and guide our existing Network members made up of over 40 community leaders who have a variety of backgrounds and levels of experience in campaigning, developing their confidence and ability to become effective change-makers and encouraging them to take coordinated, strategic actions to advance our campaigns;

Co-facilitate monthly Network meetings: setting agendas, facilitating Breakout rooms, taking minutes and following up with Network members on their agreed actions;

Support the3million’s campaigns by supporting our Head of Policy and Advocacy on our MP-facing work in Parliament and our Communications Manager to ensure that our campaigns are featured on our social media, newsletters and clearly communicated to key stakeholders such as partner organisations in the migration sector and to key community leaders on the ground
2. Relationship-building and in-person workshops

Rolling out a series of “listening sessions” and “Know Your Rights” workshops with community groups across the country: liaising with relevant community leaders to visit them and their communities, this may include working on Saturdays (and taking time off in lieu during the week) and running in-person sessions. You will receive guidance on the format from the Community Organiser - Campaigns but will be the main person delivering such sessions on the ground.
3. Professional learning and development
- Taking a proactive approach to your learning and development towards becoming a confident and versatile Community Organiser and Campaigns specialist, you will have regular check-ins with your line manager (Community Organiser - Political Campaigns) and engage in an ongoing process of evaluation, thereby reflecting on the work you are carrying out to draw out learning and being willing to stretch yourself. Depending on your current level of experience as an Organiser, you may be set assignments such as reading recommended articles/books, listening to relevant podcasts, attending specific training sessions, etc.

Since its establishment in 2015, the Excellence Network has provided networking and collaboration opportunities for professionals across the different regions of the UK. In England, the Excellence Network is moving to a new regional model aligned to the 7 NHS England regions. To help us deliver this new regional model, we are looking for a healthcare professional to take on the role of Regional Clinical Lead on a consultancy basis.

You’ll:
- Be expected to co-opt a multidisciplinary leadership team to support you in your role. This team should reflect the multi-professional composition of regional services, as well as the geography and should include at least one person with Parkinson's.

- Work closely with the Professional Engagement team at Parkinson’s UK to organise and hold engagement opportunities in your region. This will include working with the team to hold and lead at least one in-person meeting in your region per year.

As CTA's Business Development Manager, your role involves increasing the uptake of MiDAS training and growing CTA membership. To do this you will need to have/develop an in-depth knowledge of the sector, be able to conduct your own research, develop relationships with our key stakeholders, and track performance metrics.
Responsibilities
Promoting CTA services, increasing uptake, and retention.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing members, ensuring their satisfaction and engagement to retain our existing membership.
- Develop and foster relationships with local authorities, umbrella organisations, charities, voluntary organisations and other stakeholders across the UK to promote CTA membership offerings.
- This will include creating a promotional package for CTA membership to be delivered to organisations across the UK.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and outreach strategy to promote MiDAS training courses.

Location: The post holder’s location/office will be Liverpool based but they will also need to work where relevant/required including traveling, therefore a full, clean driving licence and access to your own car is essential. Mileage will be reimbursed for any travel used to deliver the role.

About Lepra
Lepra is dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences through direct support, advocacy, and the promotion of inclusive communities. We work in Bangladesh and in India, through our sister organisation, LEPRA Society. We work in partnership with people affected by leprosy and LF to improve detection, ensure access to treatment and care, and promote inclusion and wellbeing. We have just finalised our new Global Strategy for 2024-30, which will guide us in our efforts to accelerate progress towards global targets for leprosy and LF, and towards our vision of a world free from leprosy and LF.
Background & Context to the Consultancy
Our new Global Strategy introduces some new approaches and priorities to our work, including: our first ever global Theory of Change (ToC), the most detailed Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) approach ever, and a sub-strategy dedicated to research, innovation and technology: the Global Research, Innovation and Technology Strategy (GRITS). With the finalisation of the new strategy, and as part of our ongoing commitment to improving our impact and efficiency, we are now seeking a consultant to provide specialised research support and technical advice.
Purpose & Objectives of the Consultancy
The primary objectives of this consultancy are to lead the transitional phase of the GRITS, creating a detailed operational plan for its implementation; support the management of the existing research portfolio ensuring technical soundness, budget adherence and timely delivery; establish a sustainable pathway for research expertise to be led by in-country professionals.
Scope of Work
The consultant will be responsible for the following key areas over a six-month period:
Strategy Transition Leadership
- Lead the transitional phase of the GRITS.
- Identify and address any gaps or challenges in the current strategy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth transition.
Operational Plan Management
- Develop a comprehensive operational plan for the rollout of the strategy.
- Establish the initial GRITS processes including the Go no Go; steering group established and functioning.

Support Existing Research Profile

We are seeking an exceptional leader and brilliant relationship fundraiser to join the Philanthropy department, leading the Major Donor team at Alzheimer’s Society. The same team doubled their income target last year!
This is a hugely exciting time to work for the UK’s leading dementia charity. The Major Donor Team is growing fast, and we have plans to significantly increase our income to fund critical dementia support services and research. Two ground-breaking treatments have recently shown for the first time that it is possible to slow down the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.
Critical to our ambition is developing new partnerships with philanthropic supporters. We have a pipeline of new ground-breaking research & community projects in development that provide an exciting opportunity to grow funding from this audience, and a new major donor prospect pipeline and cultivation programme up and running.
In this role, you will develop and deliver the major donor growth plan, in line with the Philanthropy strategy to 2030, leading a brilliant team of major donor specialist fundraisers. You will develop new long-term, and transformational partnerships with philanthropic partners (both individuals and families) at a £500k+ and £1m+ level. You will be key to engaging them with the Society’s ambitious vision and exciting major programmes of work, spanning cutting-edge research, health inequalities, clinical trials, on-the-ground support, and participation for people living with dementia, and new life-changing dementia treatments.
Importantly, the role also provides the chance to deliver a meaningful impact on the lives of people affected by dementia, helping us to reach our goal of securing £5+ million a year from Major Donors by 2027.
Alzheimer’s Society is primarily a home-based organisation, with the possibility to use our London/Birmingham offices as desired, however, there are also hybrid and office contracts available, so we can be fully flexible. You will be required to travel to attend donor meetings and some team-based meetings and training, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK and be able to travel to our London flagship office when required.

Purpose of The role
Habitat GB is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Advocacy to lead our efforts in advocating for policy change within the UK government (in particular targeting the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) to prioritise housing in international development. This pivotal role will play a crucial part in supporting Habitat for Humanity's global advocacy agenda which aims to promote equitable access to adequate housing worldwide, focusing on informal settlements in the Global South. The Head of Advocacy will be instrumental in building Habitat GB's profile and influence, establishing strong relationships and coalitions with stakeholders in the UK, identifying lobbying opportunities, providing strategic political insight, and ensuring systematic monitoring and analysis of the international development political landscape. By collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders, the successful candidate will drive meaningful change and contribute to addressing housing challenges on a global scale.
· Develop Advocacy Strategy: Lead the development of a comprehensive advocacy strategy aligned with Habitat GB's mission and the "Home Equals" campaign objectives, engaging key people in Habitat for Humanity's global advocacy team. This strategy should focus on advocating for policy change within the UK government to prioritize housing in international development.
· Delivery of Advocacy Strategy: Deliver activities to implement the advocacy strategy, working closely with Habitat GB’s senior leadership team and Habitat for Humanity's global advocacy team. Activities may include stakeholder engagement and coalition building, policy research and positioning, profile building, lobbying and political insight, and advocacy campaign, initiatives and events.
· Evaluation, Reporting and Learning: Establish mechanisms for systematic monitoring, analysis, and dissemination of political intelligence related to housing and international development issues in alignment with Habitat for Humanity International’s global metric tracking on advocacy impacts. Prepare regular reports on advocacy outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for future action.
· Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate closely with Habitat for Humanity's global advocacy team especially on G7 related advocacy and implementation of the Home Equals campaign, other affiliates, and external partners to align advocacy efforts, share best practices, and coordinate actions for maximum effectiveness.
· Leadership and Management: Manage, motivate and mentor UK Housing Advocacy Manager, with regular 1-2-1s, setting individual objectives, giving and receiving feedback, progressing people and plans. Role model our values in line with Habitat GB’s inclusive approach to people and culture.

Person Specification
· Bachelor's degree in international relations, public policy, political science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
