About the Role

This role is key to shaping how the organisation maximises impact over the next 5 years, delivering on ambitions for the 2024-2029 Strategy. The aspiration is to help 10,000 young people at risk or experiencing homelessness, to reach their full potential.

By working with key players in the youth homelessness landscape, like-minded organisations, and embedding the voices and experiences of young people in this work, you will help maximise social impact and deliver £150m in social value by March 2029. 

You will ensure the charity is the best possible grant funder in the field, thoughtful, diligent, transparent and efficient, as it works with the very best charities across the country deliver vital support to young people facing homelessness.

You will be in charge of grant programme design, development, and delivery in line with the new strategy.  You will have the opportunity to work on new programmes and ideas, and to gather data and insight from this vital work (and other sources) that will help both future grant-making and our influencing work nationally.

Whilst grant-making experience would be helpful, what truly matters is your ability to strategically lead and drive projects that deliver impact. You’ll be at the forefront of developing and delivering new programmes, ensuring they align with key targets while bringing innovative ideas to life.

This role is not just about achieving KPIs, it’s about leading teams to achieve results. You will have experience of delivering presentations, developing ideas and projects collaboratively, and using data-driven insights to shape future projects and influence decision-making at a regional or national level. Strong project management, monitoring, and evaluation skills are key in this role, as are those of team- and partnership- working.

About the role

The DAPO Project Manager will work closely with the DAPO Programme Manager and SafeLives Finance Manager to support the successful delivery of the programme and maintain effective commissioning relationships with service providers across each pilot area. Key responsibilities will include overseeing commissioning contracts, supporting programme implementation, managing stakeholder relationships, and providing regular progress reports to commissioners.

Fundraising lead (fixed term 12-month contract, 0.4 FTE i.e. 14 hours a week)

JustMoney Movement is seeking a part-time Fundraising lead to help us grow a more sustainable funding base. The role will work with senior staff to develop our strategic case for support to target small organisational/ institutional donors (£1-5k grants/ donations).

We are a Christian charity using education and advocacy to work towards our vision of a fairer, greener future, through the transformation of our financial system and wider economy. We want to grow and diversify our funding base, reducing our dependence on a small number of grants, and building a movement of allies who feel part of the community and are willing to financially support it.

The Fundraising lead will work with senior staff to develop a case for support for our overall strategy and use this to target small organisational/ institutional donors including small trusts; corporates and organisations; and churches. 

Role description

· Grade 3.1 expected FTE salary £35,700 pro-rated to 0.4 FTE/ 14 hours a week = £14,280 (subject to annual inflationary pay review).

· Fixed term 12-month contract. This post has funding for 1 year.  If successful, there could be scope to extend the role for longer.

This is a new role within a growing fundraising team which is aiming to significantly grow income to achieve our growth strategy. Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, your main responsibility will be to develop relationships with individual and community donors, and legacy pledgers. Your personalised approach and friendly manner will help them feel valued, understand the life changing difference they make and deepen their connection to our work reducing loneliness in later life. As part of your role, you will also have opportunity to support the Individual Giving Manager with fundraising activities.
 
Key responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for supporters and build good relationships with them - respond to queries, take donations, and support them in their fundraising.
• Develop a programme to regularly thank donors for their support and find out more about them, including a schedule of supporter phone calls and sending a donor survey.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. 

Their vision is to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. To achieve their mission, they are looking for a Community Fundraiser who will proactively engage with supporters, community groups and volunteers across the West Midlands to join their team of 12 Community Fundraisers across the UK.

The Community Fundraiser (West Midlands) is responsible for providing support and guidance to fundraisers within their communities to achieve their ambitions and ultimately raise vital funds for Brain Tumour Research. This is achieved through a wide variety of activities such as helping supporters to make the most of their own fundraising, engaging participants with externally organised events such as the Great Birmingham Run, and encouraging communities to get involved in events organised by Brain Tumour Research such as Wear a Hat Day and Walk for Hope. The Community Fundraiser will be the face of Brain Tumour Research in the area, providing excellent stewardship to existing supporters, and building great relationships with new supporters.

This post has been vacant since Autumn, and as such needs a fundraiser with confidence and capability in fundraising to join the team, provide donor love to the loyal supporters in the area, and approach developing the areas potential with energy and enthusiasm. The Role
As our Welsh Language Officer you will be an integral member of the Citizens Advice Wales team, part of our Partnerships & Advocacy directorate, and you’ll play a key role in shaping the charity’s Welsh Language strategy.

The role involves influencing national teams, supporting local Citizens Advice in Wales, and you’ll also represent Citizens Advice within Welsh language networks and identify opportunities to support greater access and engagement for clients and colleagues in Wales.

A key aspect of the role involves strategic communication and stakeholder engagement with senior leaders; at Citizens Advice and with stakeholders across Wales including Welsh Government. You’ll also work in partnership with the Welsh Language Commissioner’s office delivering the Cynnig Cymraeg for Citizens Advice and driving forward the “Cymraeg Clir” approach.

Working closely with the Director of Wales and Cymru Advisory group you will shape our Welsh Language strategy and active offer whilst managing translation services and budgets, line manage the Welsh Language Translator, and ensure high-quality Welsh content across platforms.

The NSPCC’s commitment to fight for every childhood is only made possible through the support of people across the UK. Over 80% of the NSPCC’s vital work is funded by public support. The Individual Supporters department is responsible for the largest single source of income for the NSPCC and we are committed to recruiting new supporters to help grow our income. The Direct Fundraising team has been established to ensure best practice and a high quality supporter experience through one-to-one fundraising channels.

Job purpose

This role sits in our Direct fundraising Team within the Individual Giving department. The key purpose of the job is to:

•  Support the Associate Head and Senior Fundraisers to continue to grow and develop face-to-face direct recruitment and telephone fundraising activity at the NSPCC.
• To work with Senior Fundraisers and Associate Head within the Direct fundraising team to deliver agreed campaigns in line with business requirements.
• Advocate and reinforce the team’s ethics and values across compliance, safeguarding, supporter experience and best practice fundraising.
• Enhance the supporter experience and protect the NSPCC’s reputation when working with professional fundraising agencies.
• Through mystery shopping, call listening and other activities, ensure all activity, by agency partners and relevant internal teams, is compliant with regulation, codes of practice and NSPCC policies.
• Monitor campaign performance and income, ensuring that campaign KPIs and metrics are reported accurately and consistently.
• Monitor expenditure, including financial processes such as raising POs, checking invoices and reporting against budgeted expenditure figures.
• Work with data, including checking data selections for telephone activity.
• Work effectively with other departments within Individual Giving, Communications and Fundraising Directorates and other functions within the NSPCC to maximise income for children. Also working with external agencies to deliver large scale campaigns.
• Work as part of a larger team to meet the same objectives and work effectively with other teams within the NSPCC to maximise income for children.

Main duties and responsibilities

1. With the Associate Head of Direct Fundraising, agree and deliver face-to-face and telephone  direct fundraising activities in line with the Individual Supporters department’s annual business plan and budget to enable the NSPCC to plan its activity and services.
2. Work with the Associate Head to maximise the opportunities by which the fundraising activity can contribute to the NSPCC’s mission of fighting for every childhood over and above fundraising objectives.
3. Be responsible for the development of relationships and delivery of income from potential supporters engaged through face-to-face activity
4. Work with internal NSPCC support teams to set up new agencies and campaigns.
5. Keep up to date on best practice and developments within the charity sector generally and particularly changes to fundraising regulations, compliance and codes of practice relating to direct dialogue fundraising. Updating existing or creating new processes and working with agencies to implement changes in activity.
6. Work with internal compliance teams and external agencies to plan and implement a monitoring schedule in line with the most up to date codes of practice, guidance and regulations.  This should include regular mystery shopping and call listening.
7. To work with the Associate Head to maximise the opportunities by which the fundraising activity of the Direct Fundraising team can contribute to the NSPCC’s mission of ending cruelty to children over and above fundraising objectives.
8. To carry out research through a range of sources, including the Internet, Intranet, publications and other external contacts, including other charities, in order to obtain relevant information that can contribute to the fundraising activities of the Direct fundraising team.
9. To work cross-functionally to ensure that fundraising activities are managed and developed in a way that maximises income for the NSPCC.
10. To undertake specific fundraising projects and activities as necessary or as required to support the department’s fundraising as a whole.

1MM Mentor Recruitment Lead main tasks include:

●      Build, lead, own and execute 1MM’s mentor recruitment strategy

●      Source enough mentors to ensure 1MM has an oversupply (c.15% higher than demand) of fully trained, location relevant mentors available
