Purpose of the role

You will be the credit control assistant and will manage the Group's sales ledger and related financial and accounting records, including bank reconciliations. You will assist the Group Management Accountant in managing accounts receivable and improving cashflow by focusing on mitigating risks and ensuring credit issued by the Group is paid in full and on a timely basis.

In this role you will:

• Be responsible for the financial administration of client accounts
• Assist in the collection of external client debt
• Act as the accounts receivable administrator

The Food Foundation is an award winning charity with a vision of a sustainable food system which delivers health and well-being for all. We are now recruiting a Campaign Lead. The job will play a leading role in driving forward and helping to scale up an exciting new three-year campaign and programme of work funded by the National Lottery working to boost consumption of beans, legumes and pulses in the UK. Beans are a win-win-win for health, environmental and affordability objectives, and yet despite this consumption is very low in the UK. The Food Foundation, alongside partners Veg Power, Kent Student Union and close collaborators Beans is How, University of Kent, and Birmingham City Council are working to change this and aiming to double UK bean consumption by 2028.

The programme began in May 2025 and encompasses the following workstreams, which together aim to change perceptions around beans and shift the food environment so that options with beans are more available and appealing:

1. A creative and impactful public facing digital campaign to drive demand, raise awareness of the brilliance of beans and get people inspired about cooking with beans. The target audience for the digital campaign is 18-35 year olds. We’ll focus on chefs and other digital influencers given their role in shaping food trends and menus and create digital assets to share on social media and with community, membership and youth organisations to create a wider movement to boost appeal. We are working with ARK agency on the creative campaign.

2. Build a community of action among national food businesses by obtaining commitments to increase sales and servings of beans, working with businesses on evidence-based actions they can take to boost sales/servings of beans to support them to reduce their scope 3 emissions and hit healthy & sustainable diet objectives.

3. Run a schools programme to reach families and their kids. We’ll focus on children in 750 primary schools in the lower half of the deprivation scale in England, Scotland and NI, working to engage caterers, teachers and parents to drive increased uptake.

4. We’ll activate the campaign in two places, University of Kent and Birmingham, working closely with local partners to do so and scale the learnings nationally.

The role will be placed in our campaigns team, working closely with our comms team and food business transformation team to ensure the digital and public campaign is successful. You’ll be working to enlist supporters and influencers to scale the size and reach of the campaign and create a broader community of action and support, engaging with community and youth organisations to increase awareness of our campaign and ensure our toolkit of bean assets is embedded in organisations across the UK, and building strong relationships with media partners, brands and platforms to expand our reach.

Main duties 

- Supporting the Head of Campaigns with outreach to community and youth organisations to build a broader community of action on beans

- Attending meetings to pitch the campaign to new partners

- Supporting our Head of Campaigns and partner organisation Veg Power to enlist, manage and brief chefs and influencers supporting the campaign

- Working closely with our creative agency and comms team to coordinate, implement and evaluate the digital campaign, especially on social media

- Engaging and building strong relationships with media partners and outlets to ensure beans are part of the conversation and in editorial content plans

- Working with our Food Business Transformation team to explore opportunities for the digital campaign to support business engagement (and vice versa) and activation of the campaign at a local level

- Working with the Food Business Transformation Team to develop a way to monitor and evaluate the actions taken by stakeholders

- Coordinating with project partners and other supporting organisations to align campaigning and communication activities

- Exploring and creating opportunities to amplify the campaign beyond its core activities, with a particular focus on reaching our target demographic of 18-35 year-olds.

This is a new role working within Battersea’s Income Generation department to develop and deliver the campaign plan for a £4-6million pound capital fundraising appeal.

One of the key pillars of Battersea’s current strategy is to ensure that we continue to provide expert care for all the dogs and cats that come through our gates. One of the ways in which we do this is by investing in our facilities to ensure that they continue to meet the changing needs of the animals we care for. This fundraising campaign will help to achieve that aim.

You will work with teams across Battersea to develop a comprehensive plan for the campaign and co-ordinate the work of multiple specialist teams to deliver the campaign on a day-to-day basis. You will also be responsible for developing a clear governance structure for the campaign, and ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of progress. You will also oversee and track progress of a series of internal process improvements that support the running of the campaign.

Please note, this is not a direct fundraising position, but will support our fundraising teams in delivering ambitious financial targets for the appeal.

The Opportunity

We seek a strategic Operations Director to lead the successful scaling of our rapidly growing UK operation. This is a pivotal, creative leadership role reporting directly to our Board of Trustees, with day-to-day collaboration with board representative Brendan Fong (Topos UK Trustee and Topos USA CEO).

Current State:

• 1-year-old entity with £500k annual revenue
• 6 talented staff (research scientists, software engineers, postdocs)
• 3 planned new staff members within the next 6 months
• Two major grants: £600k (1-year) and £1.2M (2.25-year)
• Projected FY26 revenue: £1M

The Challenge: You’ll be our first senior operations hire, responsible for establishing the systems and culture that will enable Topos UK (and Topos as a whole) to thrive as we scale from startup to established institution, collaborating between the UK and US offices, and pioneering a new style of technology-oriented research organisation keenly focussed on improving lives.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Finance Leadership

• Lead operations and finance for a projected £1M+ annual budget from research grants
• Support grant solicitation, budgeting, procurement, monitoring, and reporting
• Collaborate with financial consultants on organizational strategies, budgets, treasury, and tax affairs
• Coordinate with US-based Topos Institute on governance, consolidated reporting, and shared contracts

Strategic Planning & Culture Building

• Partner with the Board of Trustees and Topos Institute USA to develop and implement strategic plans aligned with our institutional mission
• Champion the critical role of operations and administration in achieving our research mission
• Establish and nurture an organizational culture that:
  • Integrates diverse perspectives and lived experiences
  • Views uncertainty as opportunity for innovation
  • Balances operational efficiency with academic freedom
  • Embodies public purpose, intellectual rigor, and collaboration

Team Leadership & Development

• Nurture and mentor our growing team of 6+ researchers and engineers

• Work with HR consultants to develop talent management systems and support organizational human resources needs

Systems & Infrastructure

• Design and implement policies, internal controls, and procedures for sustainable growth
• Oversee operational functions including inventory management and facilities
• Oversee compliance, risk management, and organizational governance
• Manage physical space requirements, including future lease negotiations
• Coordinate legal affairs with Board of Trustees, sourcing expertise as needed

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as operational interface with funders, partners, and collaborators
• Represent Topos UK’s capabilities and needs to external stakeholders
• Support business development for future grant and contract opportunities
• Assume additional responsibilities as organizational needs evolve

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

• 5+ years in senior operations/finance roles at mission-driven organizations
• Proven ability to build systems and culture from the ground up
• Experience with research institutions, nonprofits, or technology startups
• Track record managing complex budgets and grant funding
• Track record of successfully impacting both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives

About the role

In this role, you'll play a key part in upskilling practitioners who support victims and witnesses of crime, helping them develop the soft skills needed to make a meaningful impact. You'll be at the forefront of modern learning design, applying contemporary thinking and innovative approaches to shape materials that are both practical and powerful. You'll need to be a dynamic learning professional with a strong grasp of learning theory and a flair for designing engaging, outcome-driven content across multiple formats.

You will;

• Support the scoping of learning needs with L&D colleagues and make recommendations on potential learning interventions.
• Lead on the design and implementation of virtual and in person learning and other interventions (including independent learning resources, handbooks, tools), within a project management framework, working with a range of key stakeholders, ensuring products are designed within scope, delivered on time, within budget and achieve the desired outcome.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation collating learning needs and providing consultation on effective learning solutions.
• Lead on the continuous improvement of learning across the organisation, using various sources of information, to make recommendations on amendments. Take ownership of courses and conduct scheduled reviews on content and the effectiveness of the intervention.
• Create new ways of learning across the organisation enhancing opportunities such as peer learning, independent learning, on the job learning and virtual communities.

It is essential to be able to work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing and conflicting demands in an organised and effective manner. The post is for 37.5 hours per week and a degree of flexibility is necessary. This role will work from home but will have moderate travel nationally across the organisation.

Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA)

Are you passionate about supporting survivors of domestic abuse? Do you have experience working with people with learning disabilities and autism? Respond is looking for a specialist Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to join our trauma-informed team. 

About Us 

Respond is a specialist organisation dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities and autism who have experienced abuse, trauma, and complex life challenges. We provide psychotherapy, advocacy, and specialist interventions for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. 

About the Role 

As an IDVA at Respond, you will provide high-quality, trauma-informed advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse, ensuring their safety and empowering them to rebuild their lives. You will conduct risk assessments (DASH), develop safety plans, and work closely with agencies such as social services, police, and housing. You will also play a key role in raising awareness and improving support for neurodivergent survivors. 

What You’ll Do 

Provide specialist, person-centred advocacy for survivors with learning disabilities and autism. 

 Undertake risk assessments and safety planning to enhance survivor well-being. 
Represent survivors at MARAC and multi-agency meetings, advocating for their needs. 
Work closely with social services, health professionals, and the criminal justice system. 
Deliver training and consultation to professionals on supporting neurodivergent survivors. 
Ensure accurate case management and uphold safeguarding responsibilities. 

What We’re Looking For 

IDVA qualification OR significant domestic abuse advocacy experience. 
Understanding of domestic abuse, coercive control, and trauma-informed practice. 
Experience working with survivors of domestic abuse, particularly those with learning disabilities and autism. 
Strong advocacy, case management, and multi-agency working skills. 
Ability to adapt communication styles to support neurodivergent clients. 
Knowledge of MARAC, safeguarding, and legal frameworks for domestic abuse cases.
