The Head of Finance is a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) of Modern Art Oxford and is responsible for managing and reporting on the finances of the charity, acting as Company Secretary.  

The role is supported by the Senior Finance Officer and Finance Assistant.

Responsibilities

Finance

• To work closely with the Director on the preparation of the business plan and to take a leading role within SMT on monitoring and reporting to ensure its successful delivery.
• To lead on budgeting processes including three- to five-year plans, detailed annual budgets, cash flow forecasts and in-year re-forecasts.
• To be responsible for reporting on the overall financial position of the organisation, including the statutory accounts, management accounts and reports to budget-holders, ensuring that budgets are adhered to, that cash flow is managed, that effective cost control mechanisms are in place, that revenue is maximised and that there is timely and accurate financial reporting to SMT and the Board of Trustees.
• To ensure that best practice, statutory and organisational requirements are met in the operation of financial controls, the management of funds, charity accounting, Endowments Funds and investments, and taxation.
• To ensure the safety and security of the organisation’s financial assets.
• To prepare and submit the annual Museums & Galleries Exhibition Tax Relief (MGETR) submission, Gift Aid and all other tax rebates.
• To liaise with the external auditors for the annual audit of the statutory accounts and management of the pensions and other professional financial services as required, being the main contact in the organisation for the bank, auditors and pension providers.
• To liaise with pension trustees and other employers of the PSATSA closed defined benefit scheme, including triennial revaluations and negotiation of affordable repayments, reporting to the Trustees and Director.
• To work in close partnership with the Director and the capital project management team, to manage and report on the financial aspects of any future capital projects, reporting to the Director and the Capital Sub-Committee of the Board of Trustees, and managing all related financial administration.
• To be responsible for arranging Modern Art Oxford’s insurance.

Governance, Compliance & Trustee Reporting

• To attend Board meetings as required and support the Director in providing background briefing and financial material to enable the Board to make considered decisions about all matters of finance and finance policy.
• To manage, attend and prepare reports for the Finance & Property sub-committee.
• To coordinate the production of the Annual Trustees Report for the statutory accounts and ensure compliance with Companies House and Charity Commission requirements, including maintaining Trustees and Directors’ records and details.

Other

• To contribute to the overall strategic direction of the organisation as a member of the Senior Management Team, and actively participate in new developments including audience development, capital planning, communications, partnerships, reporting and fundraising.
• To complete as required annual reports, including the annual submission for exhibition tax relief and other key reporting, including Arts Council England and Oxford City Council submissions and project-funding reports.
• To carry out any other duties, reasonably requested by the Director.

• Significant experience in financial roles at a senior level, managing all aspects of running a financial function and dealing with a range of activities, ideally in a small to medium-sized charity.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual with strong project coordination skills to support the delivery of a high-profile clinical audit programme commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP).

You will take ownership of day-to-day project coordination for assigned projects, including monitoring progress against timelines and deliverables. You’re comfortable acting as secretary or deputy to committees or working parties.

You will work closely with the project’s Clinical Leads, Data and Methodology teams, and national stakeholders including NHS trusts, royal colleges, and patient representatives.

You have a strong attention to detail and can effectively manage multiple workstreams at the same time.

You also have experience in helpdesk support and managing inboxes for assigned research projects. You will have strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders. You can maintain databases and engage with local research leads to ensure project delivery. You are comfortable providing essential system support for data collection platforms.

About the Role

This role coordinates the activities within the RCoA Centre for Research and Improvement (RCoA CR&I), providing project coordination support to the RCoA’s research projects.

This role will support a national clinical audit, part of the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP), commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) and funded by NHS England. This is a multidisciplinary clinical audit, and the post holder will be expected to work closely with Centre for Perioperative Care (CPOC).

The RCoA CR&I is the national centre of excellence for health services research in anaesthesia and associated specialties. Its purpose is to define, evaluate and improve quality in anaesthesia, perioperative care and pain management.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintain, update and implement assigned project plans and timetables, regularly updating line management with progress and slippages.
• Provide day-to-day project coordination for assigned projects, including system support for data collection platforms.
• Act as secretary, or deputy, to assigned RCoA committees or working parties.
• Provide helpdesk and inbox cover to assigned research projects.

Research, Advisory and Policy Department

The Research, Advisory and Policy (RAP) Department facilitates learning and provides guidance to improve peace policy and practice inside and outside Conciliation Resources. The team:

• Translate experiences of peace practice into innovative learning and thought leadership
• Evaluate impact of peace practice and build evidence of what’s working and what’s not
• Advance knowledge and methods for gender inclusive peace practice
• Mobilise policy change to facilitate and coordinate transformative peace practice

RAP is responsible for the Accord publication series and cross-organisational research programmes, thematic policy advocacy, and the organisational approach and technical support to Programme Departments on gender and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL). The RAP Department includes the CR EU team based in Brussels. 

Our approach to Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)

Conciliation Resources’ approach to project design and MEL is rooted in a culture of evaluative thinking and knowledge-building. We use evidence and systematic reflective spaces to improve the relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability of our work. We apply a gender perspective in our conflict analysis and evaluation methods. Our plans for MEL are contained within our Operational Plan under Goal 5: to develop evidence, learning and creativity, which is part of our Strategic Plan 2020-2025. 

Job Purpose 

We are looking for an experienced and creative Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Advisor to fill a vacancy emerging in our global MEL team. This is an exciting time to join the organisation as the successful candidate will play an important role in developing and rolling out a new MEL Strategy to align with Conciliation Resources’ forthcoming Strategic Plan 2026-2030.

The MEL Advisor will be responsible for providing technical advice in applying gender-sensitive and complexity-aware MEL approaches to develop CR’s peace practice, and in supporting organisation-wide Outcome Harvesting. The role would be well-suited to a versatile and creative thinker with a curiosity to adapt standard MEL approaches for the challenges associated with peacebuilding and mediation.

We want MEL to be useful for staff and partners. The MEL Adviser will draw lessons from evidence of achievements and challenges in our work to inform programme adaptation and support organisational strategy. Occasionally they may represent our experience and approach to external audiences.

As the post is a global role, the post-holder will be expected to provide remote and face-to-face technical support to Programme teams, MEL Focal Points and partners in different geographies, and to the RAP team in the development and implementation of their MEL plans. 

The MEL Adviser supports the Head of MEL in the delivery of Operational Goal 5 in Conciliation Resources’ Strategic Plan 2020-2025 and will continue to do so under the forthcoming Strategic Plan 2026-2030 and MEL strategy. The MEL Adviser will help to develop and maintain the systems, skills and approach required to deliver on this, and to embed these in organisational practice. 

Scope and Accountability 

The MEL Adviser is directly accountable to, and line-managed by, the Head of MEL and is a member of the RAP Department. 

They are accountable for maintaining systems to record and analyse data and for organising processes to capture and analyse change. 

They ensure the smooth running of organisation-wide evaluation processes, including CR’s Outcome Harvesting process, and evidence informed strategic donor reporting. 

They are responsible for providing specialist, technical advice and support to teams and partners on the design, development and implementation of their project MEL plans. 

They have a comprehensive understanding of our Strategic Plan, organisational results framework and Theory of Change, and of the nature of peacebuilding work and change.

Essential knowledge, skills and experience

• Knowledge and considerable experience applying a range of complexity-aware design, monitoring, evaluation and learning concepts, tools, and approaches.
• Understanding of and experience in supporting adaptive programming, including approaches for how to monitor and evaluate adaptations. Experience of Outcome Harvesting or other participatory monitoring approaches an advantage.
• Experience designing Theories of Change for complexity-aware programmes, including monitoring frameworks and the critical analysis of data to inform adaptations. Experience of designing Theories of Change for social cohesion, mediation and/or peacebuilding programmes is an advantage.
• Ability to collect, manage and analyse quantitative and qualitative data in a manner that is sensitive to conflict-affected contexts.

This is an Out of Hours role where you will be required to work 2 night shifts in a row and then 6 days off on a rolling rota.

The role in Approved Premises (AP) involves supporting high-risk individuals transitioning from prison back into the community. Staff work closely with residents, providing guidance, promoting positive behaviour, and helping them build independence while maintaining a structured environment. Responsibilities include preparing meals, supporting rehabilitation plans in collaboration with probation and external agencies, and ensuring residents follow rules such as curfews and drug/alcohol testing. Staff are also expected to assist in running and documenting activities, completing daily tasks, and keeping the premises safe, clean, and secure through regular checks and communication. A key aspect of the role is empowering residents to take responsibility for their own lives, without doing things for them, while providing support and supervision as needed. Staff must adhere to Hestia's policies and the Ministry of Justice's guidelines. 

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. The Role

The Head of Events is a crucial role, with responsibility for the overall strategic and operational leadership of BAUS’s events portfolio, which is their main source of income. The events portfolio also includes a calendar of smaller events such as Specialist Section Meetings, Educational Courses, and the associated sponsorship.

The main focus will be on the delivery of the exciting calendar of existing events, however the team welcome new ideas and innovation to enhance, support and grow their portfolio.

• Working to agreed budgets to maintain financial sustainability
• Aligning events with the educational vision

The Person

We are looking for a someone with a proven track record in managing large scale conferences and events at a senior and strategic level. Ideally with experience working in a membership organisation, you should have strong strategic skills in project management, planning and budget management.

You should have the ability to build and maintain senior-level relationships with committees, sponsors, and partners and we are looking for someone who possesses the knowledge and expertise to negotiate, influence and solve problems. Most importantly, you will need to be pro-active, passionate and reliable. Please note that due to the requirements of this role, you must also be able to work flexibly to attend events when required (although the charity will pay expenses and operates a TOIL system).

Your role will be to provide tailored accommodation support to women under probation supervision in the community, helping them to find and keep a home and reintegrate into their local communities. About You

You will have considerable experience and knowledge of housing law, debt advice and the main issues relating to homelessness and criminal justice for women with multiple and complex needs. You have experience of delivering services for women, advocacy to external stakeholders on behalf of clients, managing caseload and ideally, working in a criminal justice setting.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced videographer and photographer, with strong technical skills, to join our small but ambitious creative team. You’ll have a good understanding of how to capture stories and share voices in a creative and powerful way, while being able to take projects from concept to completion.

You’ll be motivated, driven and passionate about capturing the voices of children and young people with cancer and the work that we do at Young Lives vs Cancer. No two days will look the same, from photographing a fundraising event to capturing an interview with a family at one of our Homes from Home. We’re looking for someone who can make the most of any opportunity to gather content which could be used across social media, our website, in presentations and pitches or in printed materials.

The role-holder will also take responsibility for keeping our content library up to date and gathering and recording consent as they go. We need someone who is highly organised and able to manage their own time and diary – this is a varied and busy role which will work with many teams across the organisation.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Working with the Brand and Creative Manager on incoming briefs from across the organisation and deliver creative solutions which fulfil objectives and consider audience

• Supporting the social media team with regular post-production work on user-generated content for TikTok and Instagram (for example, editing, adding captions etc.) 
• Adhering to our brand guidelines and support the Brand and Creative Manager in continuing to evolve and apply our visual identity and tone of voice work to photography and videography projects

About the role:

This role is based in London with Hybrid working.

As a Senior IDVA you will be:

• The main purpose of the job is to effectively manage and develop a high quality, innovative and pro-active domestic abuse service for victims and their children, including those at highest risk. Also you will need to ensure that the service prioritises the safety, security and dignity of service users and their children.
• The job would also include you being lead in crisis situations and to provide advice and guidance on safeguarding issues and information sharing concern
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
• Develop your team and address their individual development/performance needs, set individual and team objectives and undertake annual appraisals.

You will need:

• To be successful in this role, you will need to have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse, including the impact on victims and their children, and the legal and practical remedies available to these clients.
• Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practice and legislation relating to equal opportunities and diversity, inclusivity, safeguarding and risk assessments.
• Experience managing the delivery of domestic abuse services and managerial experience will also be necessary as well as having a thorough understanding of IDVA work.
• A proven ability to confidently use various IT systems including Case Management, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Outlook and other online applications/platforms.
• You would also need to hold a SafeLives IDVA training certificate, a relevant degree, a vocational qualification or have equivalent experience.
• An enhanced criminal record check and police vetting is required for this role.

Purpose of the role

ZSL is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Corporate Partnerships to lead the growth of high-impact corporate fundraising aligned with our mission to restore wildlife and create a world where nature thrives. In this senior leadership role, you will spearhead the development and implementation of ZSL’s Corporate Partnerships strategy, with a strong focus on income growth, innovation, and long-term value. A results driven relationship builder, you will lead and inspire a talented team to cultivate, secure, and steward high-value partnerships that support ZSL’s global conservation goals.

Reporting to the Director of Development and working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, you will identify and unlock strategic opportunities, positioning ZSL as a trusted partner for forward-thinking businesses committed to sustainability and positive impact. This is a unique opportunity to shape and expand a purpose led portfolio that delivers vital funding, shared value, and lasting change for wildlife and people alike.

This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of spending at least two days per week in the office, alongside client visits as part of relationship building and partnership activity.

Key responsibilities: 

• Business Development: Draw on research to create a healthy pipeline, engaging new prospects and of developing positive relationships at senior levels. Identify and secure new corporate partnerships that align with ZSL's strategic goals, as well as commercial priorities.
• Strategic Partnership Development: Develop and implement innovative partnership models to attract and retain high-value (£1m+) corporate partners and provide unique opportunities for ZSL to raise its profile to new audiences.
• Spokesperson: Represent the ZSL brand in public to corporate Board level representatives, inspiring confidence in partners by demonstrating credibility, knowledge and professionalism.
• Corporate Membership: Grow the Corporate Membership programme, led by Corporate Partnerships Officer, ensuring exceptional experiences, value for members and a healthy ROI for ZSL.
• Internal Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across ZSL to identify opportunities to collaborate, leading to enhanced partnerships and strengthening our opportunities to partner.

About You

• Proven experience of strategic corporate partnerships new business, including identifying, engaging, developing and managing strategic corporate partnerships with a track record of delivering income of seven figure and six figure partnerships.
• Previous experience in leading and developing teams, with a strong emphasis on coaching and supporting less experienced staff.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and work across a complex organisation, engaging with multiple stakeholders who have income generating responsibilities.
• Experience in monitoring and reporting on income and expenditure, ensuring alignment with budgetary plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to and influence senior stakeholders, prospects and partners.
