Role Purpose
This role is focused on maximising comms-based engagement across the GDI Hub’s portfolio, supporting GDI Hub’s growing outreach and impact.
The post holder will work closely across GDI Hub comms team to support communications delivery across the organisational portfolio – with a focus on key regular outputs, creative content, websites, reactive queries and organisational communications. This role will involve both administrative tasks, and creative content generation, at an anticipated volume of 50% per area.
The post holder will also provide key communications and engagement support for the Disabled Leaders Network. Run by the GDI Hub, the Disabled Leaders Network is a member led, dynamic group of emerging global talent. Communications support includes digital events, managing social media and the network channels, and regular newsletters.
Across all elements of the role, the successful candidate will need to work collaboratively and dynamically. Responsibilities will include creative content generation, design, copy writing, film/photography, newsletters - alongside more administration and operational activities such as enquiry response, proof reading, and website updates. This role will work closely alongside members of the GDI Hub team, with some interactions with external partners, collaborators and stakeholders. This role will also support with event delivery – digital and in person.
We are looking for a candidate with strong administrative, communications and digital skills, including experience with social media and design. The candidate will need to deliver public facing communication outputs, while also building personable relationships. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential, as it a streamlined, can-do approach.
Role Responsibilities:
Administrative support
- Assisting across the day-to-day functions of GDI – from uploading of publications, to updating websites, proof-reading and formatting documents
Enquiries and incoming requests
- Responsible for incoming channels, to provide timely responses and streamline engagement mechanisms

- Development of rich content, including social and digital assets – using photography and film, alongside a strong understanding of design.
Creative content
- Creating infographics, factsheets, presentations, web page development and e-newsletters, project and programme deliverables, reports, tools and dissemination of academic publications
Website content

Audience development
- Build social media followers and engagement through the development of content, re-sharing and profiling of partners and stakeholders, and engagement with followers

Key Activities
Donation Processing
- Responsible for the timely recording and processing of all incoming donations (including via our website, bank account, third party platforms and cheques) into the Medair UK CRM (Salesforce).
- Ensure all donors receive gift acknowledgements / thank you letters corresponding to each gift received.
- Maintain up-to-date records of donors, staff and other contacts in the Medair UK database.
- Process and record completed Gift Aid declarations and support in the regular reclaim of Gift Aid.
Financial Administration
- Inputting of all financial data (income and expenditure) into Quick Books.
- Preparing and following up suppliers invoices for payment.
- Processing expenses claims.

Engagement Support

I am working exclusively with a respected not-for-profit organisation who are currently in the market for a very proactive and experienced HR Administrator to join their HR team, working on a 6-month fixed-term contract with the view of potentially extending (via a fair and open process). You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support to the HR team.
You will act as a first point of contact for HR related administrative queries and support the team with a wide variety of HR tasks. This will include recruitment support and candidate liaison, administration support for the learning and development programme, new starter onboarding, HR inbox management as well as arranging meetings, and providing light diary and administration support for the HR Director.
Key Duties
Administration and support
- As a member of the HR team, you will ensure that all administration activities which support the work of the HR team are managed in a proactive and efficient way.
- Support the daily proactive management of the HR inbox, ensuring that appropriate action is taken to respond and forward relevant emails to the HR team with follow-up actions if needed.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Director, which could include room booking, arranging meetings and other ad-hoc requests.
- Maintain and keep up-to-date digital employee files and ensure employment records and documents are compliant, filed and retained according to data management and retention guidelines. Support a longer-term project to move to full digitisation of all HR files.
- Input data into the HR information system and other agreed systems such as address changes, holiday requests etc.
- Maintain structure charts, recruitment spreadsheets and HR activity trackers to ensure they are set up and utilised in the most effective way.
- Support the delivery of HR or L&D projects or events, including room bookings and catering administration

- Ensure that the relevant HR activity checklists are up-to-date and stored correctly for each activity

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate Fundraising Community Coordinator to join our virtual events team. You will play a crucial part in managing the online communities for our month-long Virtual Events, ensuring an exceptional experience for our dedicated supporters.
As the Fundraising Community Coordinator you will be responsible for posting on our online communities, supporting the Virtual Events Assistant to create engaging content that will inspire and uplift our supporters and driving positive interactions within the community. You will actively engage with supporter posts, promptly responding to inquiries, moderating the community and extending warm welcomes to new members.
You will also assist with the development of the supporter experience, including helping to improve fundraising resources, creating FAQ’s and gathering compelling case studies to further drive support. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to the whole team, acknowledging donations, and offering an exceptional experience to our event supporters via phone, SMS email and social media becoming a fundraising expert within the Mass Participation Team.
To succeed in this role will have a proven track record of building positive relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will have experience of following processes and have strong organisational and planning skills. Experience in managing online communities and utilising databases will be highly beneficial. Women and Girls Network’s (WGN) Administration & Bookings Officers (ABO) have day-to-day responsibility for coordinating the bookings for all of our clinical services. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital and Content:
- Maintain and update the Climate Spring website (Webflow).

- Lead on compiling and gathering content for Climate Spring’s monthly community newsletter.

Events Communications:
- Support the promotion and communications around Climate Spring events (in-person, online and partner-led)

- Help identify and coordinate new event opportunities.
- Attend Climate Spring events (in-person and online), take photos and cover on socials as required.

MINIMUM ROLE CRITERIA AND SKILLS:
- Proven experience in a busy comms, digital, marketing or public affairs role (agency or in-house).
