About the opportunity

We're in a fantastic position to have recently have partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) for an evaluation of our programmes. 

We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Birmingham.

• The Birmingham Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
• The Birmingham Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities 

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; regularly attending weekly tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
• Responsible for overseeing the quality of tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery. Provide regular check-ins with tutors to ensure ample support and guidance is given to provide targeted tuition to pupils.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. Maintain clear and timely communication with relevant school staff, offering regular check-ins with key school stakeholders, and contribute to impact reporting to schools. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
• Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
• Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.

Being the sole representative for a partner school, you will need to use your ability to work independently and with initiative, often organising your own time to meet deadlines. You’ll also need to have a strong aptitude for developing relationships with a range of stakeholders ensuring you uphold high standards of communication and adapt your style for different audiences. The nature of this role will also require you to demonstrate adaptability, resilience and the ability to cope with some uncertainty. 

This position would suit you if you’re looking to develop your experience in the education or charity sectors. Existing experience of working with young people and/or project management in a charity or education setting would be an asset. Reports to: Midlands Programme Manager

Salary: £27,159 per annum

Contract and hours:  Fixed term contract until 31st July 2026, full time contract (37.5 hours)

Senior Management Accountant

The National Archives are a non-ministerial department, and the official archive and publisher for the UK Government, and for England and Wales. We are the guardians of over 1,000 years of iconic national documents.

Operating within the Management Accounting team, the postholder will act as a Senior Management Accountant for the business area for which they are made responsible. Working directly with budget holders, Heads of Department and Directors, they will manage all aspects of their management accounting and financial planning services providing incisive, value-add financial support and analysis which facilitates effective decision making.

The role:

• Be responsible for the provision of timely, accurate, relevant management information to all levels of management within assigned Directorates, regularly reviewing this information with the senior management teams. This will include provision of monthly reports, critical review of results, value-add analysis, explanation of variances and early identification of potential issues / opportunities.
• Be responsible for providing analysis that informs and supports effective decision making.
• Apply various tools such as investment appraisal techniques to better inform decision making.

About the role 

As Digital Fundraising Executive, you will manage specific digital campaigns to drive supporter acquisition, engagement, retention and income. You will play an important role in ensuring we provide the best possible online experiences for supporters, and that our content and journeys are as effective and engaging as they can be.

Contract 

This role is available full-time (35 hours per week, Monday – Friday) with some flexibility around hours worked, or part-time (at least 28 hours per week). You will work remotely or a hybrid of remote and working in our collaborative, modern office space in Haywards Heath, which is open Tuesday – Thursday and is a short train journey from Brighton, or a 45-minute train journey from London. You will be expected to attend the office for monthly team meetings and there may be a small amount of other ad-hoc travel within the UK.  

Responsibilities 

• Managing digital fundraising projects, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure smooth execution, timely delivery, and alignment with objectives and budget.
• Oversee digital fundraising projects, to ensure they meet objectives, remain within budget, and achieve set targets
• Collaborate with fundraising teams to integrate digital content and messaging into offline campaigns
• Oversee the full lifecycle of email campaigns, including planning, execution, analysis, and reporting
• Develop engaging onboarding experiences for new supporters to encourage long-term engagement
• Support the Digital Manager in expanding international fundraising through a range of digital channels
• Monitor the performance of digital fundraising activities, updating plans and implementing improvements where necessary
• Contribute to A/B and multivariate testing to enhance the effectiveness of digital campaigns

Skills 

 Essential:  

• Proven experience in managing digital fundraising projects with timely delivery, adherence to briefs and budgets, and effective results reporting.  
• Experience and understanding of key digital marketing or fundraising platforms and disciplines - such as content management systems, email marketing, social media platforms, search and display advertising and ideally experience with GA4. 
• Excellent writing skills, with experience in writing strong fundraising copywriting.
• Competence in data analysis, reporting, and tracking progress against KPIs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.  
• Project management skills involving coordination with multiple teams and external agencies to achieve organisational goals.

Desirable:  

• Experience in international fundraising.  
• Understanding of various individual-giving fundraising disciplines, such as mailings, inserts, and TV advertising.  
• Experience in orchestrating virtual mass participation events.  
• Strong editing and proofreading abilities.  
• Research skills to identify new digital and fundraising opportunities.

The role

The Digital Media Officer role provides support to Crimestoppers and Crimestoppers’ youth service Fearless, in creating impactful content and campaigns that empower people to speak up about crime.

You will be responsible for filming, creating, and scheduling organic and paid social media content, and as the face of Fearless’ social media platforms, feature in the content yourself. You will play a key role in shaping and driving forward Fearless’ communications strategy to ensure Fearless’ social media platforms remain relevant, engaging and supportive of Crimestoppers overall aims.

You will contribute to the development of Crimestoppers and Fearless national and regional campaign ideas, content and messaging and manage the execution and reporting of multi-channel communication activities. About the role

As Senior Media and Campaigns Officer, you will play a key role in delivering Wellbeing of Women’s media relations and campaigns strategy. Main duties

Media relations

• Work with the Head of Communications and Campaigns to develop and deliver a proactive PR strategy to increase the reach of the charity.
• Develop PR materials including press releases, pitch angles, interview briefs, and media lists.
• Coordinate accurate and timely responses to inbound media enquiries, liaising with journalists and spokespeople.
• Work on media opportunities for our high-profile ambassadors.
• Support media planning and execution for fundraising partnerships and key organisational milestones.
• Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, and newswires, for opportunities and coverage relevant to women’s health.
• Analyse and share media coverage internally and externally.
• Take the lead on media measurement and evaluation, compiling regular reports on coverage and impact.

Campaigns

• Support the planning and delivery of integrated communications and advocacy campaigns, such as ‘Just a Period’ and the Health Collective.
• Develop campaign content, and assets (digital, print, social) in collaboration with the wider team.
• Lead on management and expansion of the case study database, interviewing and writing them up and being the charity contact point for all teams looking for case studies.
• Contribute to campaign audience mapping, stakeholder engagement, and supporter mobilisation strategies.
• Support on political engagement work, especially with the Menopause APPG.
• Work on event management related to campaigns.

Wider communications

• Contribute to our digital channels (including social media and website) by drafting engaging content focused on our work.
• Contribute to Communications & Campaigns team planning with creative ideas to help develop our campaigns and contribute to other areas such as fundraising communications.

The Witness Service has over 260 staff and 3000 volunteers and offers free, independent, impartial and confidential support and information to 15,000 witnesses each month to give evidence in every criminal court in England and Wales.

Last year, Citizens Advice helped 2.6 million people face-to-face, by phone, email and webchat, and we received 25 million visits to our digital advice content. We solve 7 in 10 clients' problems, and 4 in 5 tell us that advice improved their lives.

The Role
As Team Leader (Outreach Services) you will be in a crucial role, responsible for the delivery of a pre-trial Outreach Support Service to Vulnerable and Intimidated Witnesses in a defined geographical area.

You will manage, motivate and develop a team of volunteers who support vulnerable witnesses in their journey through the criminal justice system.

You will also develop and maintain key local stakeholder relationships with a view to enhancing partnership working, and service delivery standards and effectiveness.

Duties and Key Responsibilites 

Sarcoma UK’s research programme

• To support Sarcoma UK’s grant application processes under guidance from the Acting Head of Research. This will include calls for proposals, identifying expert peer reviewers, administering a high-quality peer and lay review process, communication with applicants and potential applicants, administration of grant awards and supporting patient involvement.
• To provide support to the Grant Review Panel and Research Strategy Committee, including organising meetings and preparing minutes.
• To manage Sarcoma UK’s portfolio of active research grants, under guidance from the Acting Head of Research. This will include administration of newly awarded grants, monitoring progress of current grants, oversight of grant finances and reporting on final outputs.
• To support opportunities for patient involvement within the research programme, including managing a network of lay reviewers and facilitating new opportunities, with support from the Patient Involvement Coordinator.
• To support new developments in Sarcoma UK’s research programme, including organising and attending events, collaborative funding calls and initiatives to support early career researchers. 

Research Impact and Communications

• To monitor and gather outputs and long-term impact of research grants funded by Sarcoma UK and support in ensuring these are shared with internal and external audiences.
• To plan and produce engaging and reactive and proactive communications about sarcoma research, including website, social media, written and video content, working with the Acting Head of Research and Communications Team to ensure our research activities and outcomes are shared with the sarcoma community and wider public.
• To proactively engage with grant holders to gather impactful insights and to support engaging communication about sarcoma research.
• To regularly review and update Sarcoma UK’s website with progress updates on research grants and promote funding opportunities.
• To support work undertaken by the Fundraising Team where required, such as lab tours and supplying information about funded grants for donor reports.

External relationships

• To be a point of contact for Sarcoma UK grant holders and their host institutions.
• To maintain positive relationships with Sarcoma UK’s research panels, potential grant applications, researchers and clinicians, and the wider sarcoma research community.
• To work directly with a range of people personally affected by sarcoma to place the voice of lived experience at the heart of our research programme.

General

• To support the integration of the research programme across Sarcoma UK.

What you will be doing

• Provide guidance and training to support partnerships between people with hearing loss and their hearing dog
• Assess people’s needs and provide advice, guidance, and signposting so they can get the help they need with their hearing loss
• Bring people together in local communities and by connecting our partnership with our Peer Support Volunteers

Key activities

• Manage a caseload of partnership relationships learning about their needs and providing advice, support, and services personally with the help of others
• Offer community days and dog walks in local communities bringing people together
• Provide tailored support to hearing dog partners through remote contact, home and workplace visits, and accompanying them to the vets and other places
• Create and implement partnership support plans, dog behaviour modification plans, dog welfare plans, and risk management
• Continually assess the support need and risks for our partnerships and hearing dogs and ensure adequate plans are in place to address them 

Desired candidate

The successful candidate is confident in their dog training and handling ability. They are experienced coaching and encouraging others. They can work with people with a wide range of needs and are solution focused. They can assess risk and have confidence in handling sensitive situations with empathy. They can develop professional materials for internal and external use.

We are London Youth: a charity on a mission to support the capital's youth sector to improve the lives of young people. We do this with and through our members - a network of six hundred youth organisations - and at our two outdoor residential centres, Hindleap Warren and Woodrow High House.

We are looking for an outgoing and self-motivated individual to help drive and develop vision, mission and strategy to progress the youth work of both the Schools and College Pastors initiatives under the Ascension Trust umbrella and as lead for the Synergy Network.

The focus in this role:

• Coordinating and supporting the Schools and College Pastor initiatives and developing strategies to grow and strengthen the work of our teams and also to promote the network and collaborations with other organisations.
• Enthuse and engage with stakeholders who want to work to combat serious youth violence, including faith groups, police and public sector.
• Develop and implement a future strategy for School and College Pastors and the Synergy Network.
• Develop funding bids for future initiatives such as the prevention of serious youth violence, working with the Youth Endowment Fund, Violence Reduction Units, and developing funding streams for the School and College Pastor initiatives with appropriate funding bodies.
• Develop vision, strategy and training for growth in new and existing initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a communications strategy for the Synergy Network, including events organisation, website and social media maintenance.
• Support the Synergy Network board by organising events, maintaining the website and social media platforms.
