The Rees Foundation is seeking a dynamic and driven Fundraising Officer to help us grow and diversify our income, enabling us to continue providing lifelong support to care experienced people across the UK.

This is a remote role, open to candidates across the UK. Occasional travel will be required, including monthly visits to our Worcestershire office and other UK travel.

What You’ll Do:

As our Fundraising Officer, you’ll be instrumental in supporting our expanding fundraising strategy. Working closely with our Senior Fundraising Officer and Head of Income and Development you’ll help identify new funding opportunities, manage donor relationships, craft compelling proposals, and support campaigns and events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research new funding opportunities and potential donors
• Create persuasive fundraising proposals and communications for trusts, foundations, corporates, and individuals
• Manage donor records and ensure timely acknowledgment of donations
• Support fundraising campaigns, including online and in-person events
• Assist in preparing grant applications and ensuring reporting compliance

Job purpose

Part of the Policy & Engagement department, the Senior Communications Officer is responsible for devising and supporting strategic communication initiatives that elevate the College’s visibility, advocate for the importance of sustainable ophthalmology services, spotlight our work and values, and promote membership. Working with colleagues, members and external partners, you will craft, execute and evaluate multichannel campaigns, secure profile-raising media coverage, and create engaging content for all our communications channels.

Main responsibilities

Strategic communication planning

• Plan, deliver and evaluate multichannel communications campaigns and plans – working with colleagues across the College to identify objectives, target audiences and key messaging.
• Contribute to developing and implementing communications strategies to increase the College’s profile, promote its work and the importance of ophthalmology, and support membership recruitment and retention.

Content development and management

• Contribute to developing, delivering and evaluating the performance of our content strategy and organisation-wide annual content plan.
• Work with all College departments to develop promotional materials, and to identify and gather content, stories and information for sharing across College media.
• Produce engaging, and accessible content for the College’s member magazine, social media accounts, website and e-newsletters.
• Copyedit, proofread and format publications, and manage the production of printed materials, including liaising with printers, designers, and other external suppliers.
• Help keep the College’s photo library up-to-date, and work with colleagues to commission photographs.

Media relations

• Identify new and nurture existing relationships with editors, journalists, commentators and producers, expanding and updating our contact list.
• Develop and implement a schedule of strategic media engagement, identifying new opportunities upon which the College should capitalise.
• Handle day-to-day proactive and reactive media relations, including acting as the first point of contact for media enquiries; writing and pitching comments, press releases, quotes, and op-eds; arranging interviews; and working with international, national and local media.
• Record, monitor and report on the College’s media activities, coverage and performance.
• Work with the Communications Manager to brief and commission training for College spokespeople.
• Work with colleagues to keep our media lines on priority policy issues up to date.

 Digital communications

• Co-plan, produce and distribute targeted and segmented e-newsletters.
• Develop and implement a social media schedule that is aligned with organisational and departmental objectives, capitalises on external opportunities, reflects the latest trends and best practice, and delivers regular, timely and targeted posts.
• Manage the College’s social media channels day-to-day, producing topical and relevant content, and monitoring and responding to comments and messages.
• Support the Communications Manager in maintaining and managing the College website, including inputting to reviews and our ongoing redevelopment project and content audit.
• Support and train colleagues in using our content management system (CMS).
• Monitor and report on the College’s digital performance monthly.

Brand management

• Uphold the College’s brand identity and messaging across all materials and platforms.
• Help champion and ensure compliance with the College’s brand and style guidelines.
• Support the department in averting and handling communications crises as needed.

• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the College

About the Role

• You will ensure the smooth running of all Board meetings and activities, through administrative support to the Board of Trustees and Corporate Services team. This will include attendance at all quarterly board meetings and some subcommittee meetings.
• As well as ensuring practical arrangements are in place for the meetings, you will work closely with the board of trustees and relevant managers, to ensure that actions are completed to ensure the board is running at maximum effectivity.

Job Purpose

As Director of Partnerships, you will:

•  Lead on partnerships fundraising, including major donors, trusts & foundations, and corporates with a focus on securing six-figure multi-year agreements to significantly grow funds raised in this area from £1.6 million to £4.5 million by FY30, in line with Operation Smile UK’s multi-year strategy.
• Foster and facilitate collaboration across different departments within OSUK.

• Represent OSUK at a leadership level, building relationships with industry peers and peers within the Operation Smile global team to ensure best practice across all areas.

Key Responsibilities

Philanthropy Leadership

• Leads strategy, planning and operation of the major gift, trusts & foundations and corporate giving channels.
• Develops annual business plans and budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director (ED) and Executive Team.  
• Strategically identifies and qualifies potential new donors to grow the prospect pipeline.
• Prepares development communications: solicitation and acknowledgement letters; case statements and proposals; stewardship reports; briefing notes; gift agreements.
• Identifies, cultivates, and solicits major gift commitments from high-net-worth individuals

• Responsibility for the preparation of annual statutory accounts, annual report, and conducting the annual audit.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified, or a finalist Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or other chartered accountancy qualification) or will be qualified by experience.
  • Proven experience of working in a finance function in a hands-on role.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of accounting principles and best practice, with reference to specific UK charity accounting rules and regulations.
  • Substantial experience of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Experience of involvement in financial year-end and annual statutory audit.

Who are we? 

Established in 2014, Beating Time is an award-winning charity operating across the UK, from two offices in London and Birmingham. We help people survive a prison sentence and thrive after release, ultimately to reduce their chances of reoffending. We run two continuous programmes: Choirs Beating Time, running weekly prison choirs and songwriting groups, and Inside Job, which uses a peer-led employment model to help people through release and into paid work. We have sung with thousands of people, directly supported 700+ people into employment, influenced policy and partnered with many high-profile organisations. 

The role

We’re hiring for an enthusiastic, organised and self-motivated Fundraising and Communications Officer to join us in London (Woolwich) or Bimingham (Digbeth). You will need to be based near to one of those offices, we do a mixture of WHF and in office working.

Idealy, we’re looking for someone with an interest in the criminal justice system, strong knowledge of fundraising (particularly for small charities) and communications expertise. 

This role is an opportunity to shape how we present ourselves to funders and supporters and maintain long-term partnerships with them. You will play an active role in determining our future fundraising strategy while meeting the day-to-day demands of keeping a small charity afloat. You’ll contribute to our efforts to diversify income streams by securing support from corporates and other partners – this requires an ability to think creatively and strategically. 

An advantage of doing this work in a small team is you’ll be able to see the direct effect of your work on how we deliver Choirs Beating Time and Inside Job, often in practice during prison visits. You’ll work closely with senior management to stay on top of budgets and cashflow to inform your fundraising decisions and grow a culture of income awareness across the charity.

Communications play an important role in maintaining relationships with funders and stakeholders. We want to keep up a strong, involved presence on LinkedIn, while contributing to sector-wide advocacy, and boosting visibility through online and in-person events. An important part of our comms strategy is conveying our impact; you will also prepare regular impact reports for internal and external use. 

What we’re looking for

• Excellent writing and editing skills – your day-to-day tasks will involve writing grant applications and reports to new and existing funders (majority trusts and foundations). You will collate and write quarterly newsletters, circulated to funders, partner organisations, supporters and our employer network.
• Fundraising expertise – you will research and identify potential funders/corporate sponsorship to feed into the prospect pipeline. You will also develop and maintain a database to keep track of new/existing/past funders and monitor fundraising impact. 
• Strong organisational skills – previous experience working or volunteering with a small charity is a plus. You will often be working to deadlines and need to be able to plan ahead and organise your schedule accordingly. Your role as part of the central team will include taking minutes at weekly meetings, liaising with prisons and freelance musical directors, and actively reaching out to government and sector bodies where necessary. Summary of the role

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will be at the heart of our fundraising efforts, driving digital fundraising, managing multi-channel appeals and designing and implementing donor journeys to increase engagement, retention and income.

Main purpose of job

Working with the Head of Fundraising the Individual Giving Fundraiser will lead on developing and delivering strategies to grow income from individual supporters through acquisition, retention, and stewardship. This role focuses on building long-term, meaningful relationships with donors, delivering compelling fundraising campaigns, and enhancing the donor experience across digital and offline channels.

The Role Responsibilities

· Maintain and grow ADSS’s income from individual supporters with a focus on digital platforms.

Fundraising Strategy and Planning:

· Work with the Head of Fundraising to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies, including regular giving, to support ADSS’s mission, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.

· Develop project plans and assist in setting KPI’s.

· Craft compelling appeals that resonate with donors and reflect the organization’s mission.

Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:

· Design and implement donor journeys to increase retention and engagement

· In collaboration with the Communications Team, increase our geographical area of reach and influence, across Kent, to grow our donor base.

· Work with families and the wider ADSS team to support the development of case studies to tell donors the stories of ADSS’s work.

· Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring their continued support.

· Implement strategies for donor recognition and retention, including personalised outreach, acknowledgements, impact reports, and engagement opportunities.

· Develop and maximise communication tools and materials to keep all donors updated with our key messaging and impact.

· Engage with the community through various communication channels, promoting the organisation’s mission and fundraising opportunities.

· Manage online platforms and income pages of our website to maximise the potential channels for donation.

Corporate and Community Partnerships:

Work with the Corporate and Community Fundraisers to:

· Develop Individual Giving programmes within Corporate and Community partnerships

· Ensure that digital platforms support their efforts to cultivate relationships with local businesses and community groups to secure sponsorships, partnerships, and in-kind donations.

· Engage community leaders and influencers to increase visibility and support for ADSS’s fundraising efforts.

· Explore the role of digital platforms in new partnerships to diversify revenue streams and enhance community engagement.

Donor Database Management:

· Maintain and update our donor database, ensuring accurate records of donations, communications, and engagement history.

· Analyse one-off and regular giving performance and optimise programmes based on insights

· Manage the Membership recruitment process

· Track progress towards fundraising goals, preparing regular reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.

Oasis is looking for someone who can combine an entrepreneurial flair and excellent leadership skills to become the next Community Hub Leader at -Oasis Hub Hadley and Enfield, London. 

The post holder will lead the development of the Hub, supporting the Oasis Academies and wider local community. The role will hold the vision of integrated community delivery, which will include a range of projects such as family support, volunteering, advice and support, community events.

This is a key role as you will be responsible for strategic oversight of the hub charity, ensuring the youth and community work supports the work of the academy, working alongside other local Oasis leaders such as the Principals, volunteers and members of the local community to develop a joined up local vision for the community.

Purpose of the AV Technician role:

The Royal Air Force Museum is seeking an Audio Visual Technician with experience in Stage Lighting and Rigging to work with the Event Technician, to use our in-house equipment, for the Commercial and Public Events programs.

As AV Technician you will be, primarily, focused on supporting events, by looking after the lighting equipment in the Museum’s event spaces, which include a 220-seat lecture theatre, iconic Lancaster bomber and the Sunderland Flying Boat. Although the main focus will be lighting, we are looking for a candidate who also has some Sound and Video experience, so that they can manage and run events by themselves when the Event Technician is unavailable.

Key responsibilities of our AV Technician include:

• Supporting and facilitating the Museum’s AV and IT systems. Maintain the Museum’s AV lighting systems and associated rigging and trusses
• Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support and problem solving for AV/digital interactive equipment
• Taking responsibility for monitoring of all gallery-based interactives
• Providing technical support for museum public & corporate events (including outside of office hours)
• Undertaking infrastructure repairs, installation & termination (CAT 5/6, Fibre, IP Telephony, electrical)
• Providing 1st line support for AV aspects of museum simulators
• Taking responsibility for the installation of new AV/digital interactive equipment, maintain existing hardware and recommend upgrades or replacements as appropriate, in the Museum event spaces and digital interactives
• Undertaking monitoring of AV systems remotely. Create, assign, respond to support tickets relating to AV and related issues
