About the Role
The Content Creator will play a vital role in helping Urban Saints communicate with clarity, creativity, and consistency across all platforms. From video editing and creating social media graphics, to designing resources, brochures, or branded assets, this role is responsible for creating visually engaging content that amplifies our message and inspires action.
You'll be responsible for:
- Designing and producing compelling visual content across digital and print formats.
- Filming and editing videos for campaigns, training materials and resources.
- Managing and editing visual assets, including team-supplied images.
- Contributing ideas and visual concepts to support campaigns and storytelling.
- Acting as a brand guardian for visual content, ensuring consistency across all channels.
- Working closely with other members of the Communications team to deliver content for campaigns, training, and wider initiatives.
Please note, this is predominantly a remote role, but with travel as the role requires. All full-time Urban Saints employees are required to attend two team residentials per year (3 days/ 2 nights each).
About You
You'll shape and deliver high-quality content that supports campaigns, promotes our training and resources, and strengthens Urban Saints’ brand both online and in print.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong design and video editing skills across digital and print formats.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut etc)
- Confident in video production – from filming to postproduction.
- Ability to develop content for a range of platforms including social media, web, email, and YouTube.
- Strong attention to detail and visual consistency.
- Proven experience in a content creation, multimedia, or graphic design role.
- Experience creating visual content as part of multi-channel campaigns (e.g. email, social media, website etc).
- Experience working with brand guidelines and visual identities.
- Understanding of digital content trends, platform specifications, and audience behaviour.

We are looking to recruit a Project Worker in our Transition to Independent Living and Training Flat team at the Barnardo's Swansea Service, Barnardo's Cymru South Wales Locality.
What is Barnardo's Swansea?
Barnardo's Swansea delivers a number of services supporting care experienced young people and young people at risk of homelessness aged 14 to 25 to:
- Access support when in crisis
- Identify accommodation options suitable for them
- Understand the realities of living independently
- Develop key independent living and life skills as they transition to adulthood
- Build their confidence and self-esteem through social inclusion

- Youth Homelessness Prevention
- Bloom - Life coaching and befriending
- Supported Lodgings
- Transition and Training Flats Service – independent living experiences and life skills support
As part of the Transition Training Flat Service you will undertake direct, planned and structured one to one and group sessions with young people. Working toward distinct outcomes you will support young people to reach their person-centred goals in a trauma-informed way.
Key elements of the service include:
- Group work promoting independent living skills to young people in preparation for their ‘move on' housing options. This will include delivering accredited Independent Living Skills programmes, facilitating visits to accommodation providers, as well as providing opportunities to develop practical skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning and bill paying in a home environment
- Support for those at risk of homelessness or those at risk of placement breakdown, for young people aged 14+. This is targeted one-to-one support for those young people who may be experiencing instability in their accommodation or placement.
- This service will provide young people aged 16+ with an independent living experience in order for them to better understand their accommodation needs and options. Intensive individual support will be provided to those young people accessing the training flats (includes evening and weekend working).
What does the Job Role involve?
Your duties will include:
- This service provides support to young people from 9am until 8pm Monday to Friday and from 10am until 6pm on weekends.
- The service requires flexibility of work as we support young people around their needs. This means rota working including the evenings and weekends.
- Working with young people and professionals to develop agreed support plans.
- Delivering accredited group work programmes in the areas of Independent living and tenancy readiness.
- Visiting and supporting service users in their placements providing support to young people and their carers.
- Visitingyoung people accessing the training flats on a regular, planned basis. Undertaking entry/exit tasks, safety and welfare checks as well as responding to emergencies and crises that may arise within service hours.
- Supporting young people to ensure they are aware of their accommodation options and entitlements in readiness for move on. This will include assisting young people to complete benefit applications, offering support through appeals as well as supporting service administrators with the monitoring of data.
- Supporting young people to integrate into their communities and to encourage participation in community events and activities.
- Tracking a young person's support journey through the use of outcomes scoring. To discuss, score and record outcomes, implementing a young person-centred approach.
You will have (essential criteria):
- Knowledge of the issues affecting young people particularly those who have been ‘looked after', are care leavers, or are homeless/threatened with homelessness.
- Experience of direct work with young people in a relevant setting.
- Experience of creating tailored support plans with young people and demonstrating the positive outcomes achieved.
- Experience of delivering group based sessions such as issue-based workshops and independent living skills programmes.
- Experience of managing a workload and prioritising competing demands
- The ability to travel independently to meet the requirements of the post.

Although this contract has a fixed term status currently until 31st March 2026 funding is awarded annually and we are waiting to find out if funding will continue past this date. Your main office base will be at Barnardo's Swansea, Penlan but you will be expected to work across Swansea.

About Dravet Syndrome UK
Dravet Syndrome UK (DSUK) is a small independent UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a rare neurological condition that affects around one in every 15,000 people in the UK. As well as experiencing severe, difficult-to-control seizures, children and adults with Dravet Syndrome have varying degrees of intellectual disability and a spectrum of associated conditions (known as ‘comorbidities’), which may include autism, ADHD, behaviours that challenge and difficulties with speech, mobility, eating and sleep.
The charity was founded in October 2008 by a small group of 30 families. Today, DSUK is a registered charity helping over 550 families with support, education, and research programmes, underpinned by a world-class Medical Advisory Board.
What you will bring
Essential
· Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering engaging and targeted social media content to build community, raise awareness and drive engagement.
· Hands-on experience managing websites (using WordPress), delivering e-marketing campaigns (e.g. Mailchimp or similar), and applying SEO principles and other techniques to optimise digital communications and online visibility.
· Demonstrable experience in media relations, including writing press releases, working with case studies and successfully pitching and responding to a range of media (online, press, radio, broadcast)
· Demonstrable experience of working in charity, patient advocacy or healthcare sectors
· Ability to deal with people at all levels with empathy, tact and credibility
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to distil large amounts of information and present it in engaging and innovative ways for a variety of audiences
· Demonstrable design skills and knowledge of desktop publishing software e.g. using Canva to create in-house designs for social media and our website
· Act as a brand guardian, ensuring external designers and agencies understand and apply our brand, visual identity, and corporate communications guidelines effectively
· Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise
· Be a self-starter and team player with experience of remote working, and able to work effectively with colleagues using remote technology (e.g. Zoom, Google meets, etc)
Desirable
· Membership of a professional body such as Chartered Institute of Public Relations and/or a commitment to continuous professional development
