Job description

Looking for a role where your planning and co-ordination skills help support learning and development?

We have an exciting opportunity for an Education Co-ordinator to join our Services and Partnerships Team at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. You will play a key role in delivering high quality, inclusive education activities. Working closely with the Education Lead to co-ordinate a varied programme of online and in-person events, ensuring they are delivered successfully.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong communication and organisational skills, who is confident working independently, and comfortable with occasional travel and flexible hours.

You will be based from our office in Northampton with the requirement to travel regionally for face-to-face events. We currently host approximately 15 in-person events annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of online, regional, and national education events
  • Use event platforms to create, promote, and co-ordinate education sessions
  • Manage the education digital survey account (SmartSurvey) to collect feedback and support ongoing improvement
  • Identify and negotiate with accessible venues, including carrying out DEI audits
  • Maintain accreditation standards with professional bodies such as the Royal College of Physicians
  • Attend events and manage pre- and post-event tasks such as communications, attendance, and certificates
  • Oversee the Education and Community of Practice inboxes, responding or escalating as needed
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system to support event co-ordination
  • Process the Continued Professional Development fund grant requests and keep related records up to date
  • Work collaboratively with internal colleagues to meet project aims

About You:

  • Excellent organisational and, both verbal and written, communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Confident using platforms such as Zoom and EventsAir
  • Planning and co-ordination skills
  • Proactive and able to solve problems on the spot during live events
  • Able to use a range of digital tools and adapt to new systems
  • Customer-focused and committed to delivering a high standard of service
  • Flexible approach, including willingness to travel and work occasional unsocial hours

About Us:

Our vision is a world free from MND. Our mission is to improve care and support for people with MND, their families and carers. We fund and promote research that leads to new understanding and treatments and brings us closer to a cure for MND. The Association also campaigns and raises awareness so the needs of people with MND, and everyone who cares for them, are recognised, and addressed by wider society.

What We Offer:

  • 28 days holiday, increasing to 33 days after 5 years, plus Bank Holidays.
  • Access to UK Healthcare, including dental, eyecare, health screenings, and therapies.
  • 24/7 GP access via phone and video.
  • Life assurance and confidential counselling helplines.
  • Salary sacrifice schemes (Cycle to Work, Buy/Sell Annual Leave).
  • Access to Benefit Hub for discounts on everyday shopping.
  • Enhanced pension scheme.
  • Opportunities for training and personal development.
  • Hybrid working.

The full job description is available in the candidate pack.

We are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusivity. We work to remove barriers for everyone affected by MND, employees, volunteers, and stakeholders.

As part of the Disability Confident Scheme, we guarantee interviews for disabled applicants who meet the role's requirements.

Hybrid Working and Flexibility: This role offers hybrid working, with the expectation to attend the office a minimum of 1 day per month with flexibility to attend more in line with business requirements. This role also requires travel to in person events nationally and regionally. We are open to part-time applications or job shares - please indicate your preferred working arrangement in your application.

How to apply:

  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and communicate effectively in writing and in person
  • Confident using digital tools and platforms, such as event software (e.g. EventsAir), Zoom, and other collaboration applications, with a willingness to learn new systems
  • A professional and reliable approach, with a focus on delivering high quality service and supporting others effectively
