Regional Development Officer (RDO) - Midlands

Role Purpose  

To grow and strengthen the Phab network by: 

• Launching new Phab Clubs in underserved areas in the Midlands 

• Supporting and energising existing clubs

A critical part of this role is identifying and supporting outstanding Club Leaders—the individuals who make clubs thrive. 

What success looks like (2-year targets) 

Year 1: Establish & Build Momentum 

• Launch 3–5 new Phab Clubs in priority areas

• Identify and develop a pipeline of future club leaders and volunteers

• Build relationships with local authorities, schools, disability organisations, and community groups

• Visit and engage with existing clubs in the region to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities

• Generate local funding or in-kind support for new and existing clubs

• Represent Phab at key regional events and networks

Year 2: Grow & Sustain 

• Support Year 1 clubs to become fully sustainable and independently run

• Launch an additional 3–5 new clubs or affiliate groups

• Increase membership and engagement across existing clubs

• Develop regional partnerships that provide ongoing referral pathways (e.g. professionals, services, schools)

• Contribute to income generation (grants, partnerships, training opportunities)

• Establish a strong regional identity and presence for Phab

Key Responsibilities  

1. Network Growth & Club Development 

• Identify areas of need and actively develop new Phab Clubs

• Recruit, mentor, and support Club Leaders and volunteer teams

• Set up clubs alongside the club leaders (venue, structure, governance, initial membership)

• Build relationships with professionals (e.g. SEND services, social workers, educators) who can refer members

• Reconnect with former Phab participants and supporters to re-engage them

• Regularly visit and engage with existing clubs

• Act as a visible, energetic ambassador for Phab

• Promote Phab’s wider offer (Phab ACTS training, Phab Adventures, events)

• Identify and secure local funding opportunities

Experience & Background  

We are looking for someone who has done this kind of work before, not just worked “in charity or business”.

• Experience in community development, outreach, or network growth

• Proven track record of starting or growing initiatives, projects, or groups

1. Overview

Cerebral Palsy Sport (CP Sport) is recruiting three Regional Programme Delivery Officers to support the delivery of the “Together We Can” Young Ambassador Programme across England.

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with young people with cerebral palsy (CP), supporting them to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and lead social action within their communities.

These roles will be central to delivering a national programme across eight regional hubs, working closely with young people, partners, and communities to create meaningful and lasting impact.

3. Role Purpose

You will be responsible for delivering the Young Ambassador Programme within your region, supporting young people aged 10–20 with CP to take part in training, social action, and community-based activity.

You will work closely with Young Ambassadors to:

· Build partnerships across schools, sport, and health sectors

Job Title: Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Housing IGVA)

Location: The GAIA Centre (Lambeth, London)
Salary: £29,701.36 per annum (Inclusive of London Weighting, which may not be applicable depending on your home location and any agreed permanent homeworking arrangement)
Contract type: Full time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. The working pattern is 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday. Occasional late early shifts: 8am-4pm or late shifts: 1pm – 6pm on a rota basis to cover duty (approximately 2-3 days a month). Flexibility on how the hours is spread across the week within these times.

The Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. This includes:

· Close working relationships with Housing colleagues 

· Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on 

· Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis 

· Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation 

· Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager 

The Housing IGVA will work closely with victims of gender-based violence from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based violence at the highest risk and their children. The role will be part of increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognise, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honour-based violence).

The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal, housing and practical options that might increase their safety. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support especially around complex housing needs.

The job involves ensuring that women are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

This is a new position within CWJ, and will involve working with our CEO, Harriet Wistrich, on potential miscarriages of justice relating to women who have offended in response to male violence. Cases will range from convictions arising from coerced offending, counter allegations, victims of trafficking and grooming gangs, to advising on appeals by those convicted of murder or manslaughter at the CACD and CCRC.

We would consider the role at 30 hours per week.

Role Purpose

To lead and supervise legal work challenging the criminalisation of women who have been prosecuted for offences that have arisen as a result of male violence, coercion or abuse. The role will provide expert oversight of complex criminal appeals and review cases, ensuring that women’s experiences are properly recognised within the legal process and that cases are progressed to the highest professional standard using a feminist, trauma‑informed approach.

We’re looking for a Health Content Designer to join our team and create trusted, high-quality information for people affected by blood cancer.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the creation and continuous improvement of our health information at every stage of the user journey. You’ll design content that’s data driven and responsive to user needs. You’ll work across a range of formats and channels to help us maximise our reach and engagement with the blood cancer community.

You’ll collaborate with users and clinical experts to ensure our information is accurate, relevant, evidence-based and accessible. You’ll use your content design skills to help anyone affected by blood cancer access the information they need.

If you have content design experience within the health sector and can demonstrate strong writing skills across a range of media, we’d love to hear from you.

This role requires travel to London for key in-person activities, including team, departmental and organisational away days. Additional travel may be required for meetings, workshops or collaboration.

They will join a friendly and supportive team of seven colleagues who, together, are responsible for the delivery of CLAPA’s adult, family, children and young people and involvement services. The post holder will develop and deliver services for eight- to seventeen-year-olds, which will enable the young cleft community to connect, share experiences and access guidance and emotional support. Shaping what support looks like, creating positive impact and strengthening reach, this new role for CLAPA will make a real difference to the lives of children and young people born with a cleft.

Working collaboratively with the senior leadership team, implementing clinical delivery decisions, ensuring the counselling service effectively maintains ethical and professional standards of practice and communication across key staff, other agencies and service users. 

You will proactively contribute to building a robust and compelling evidence base that continues to demonstrate impact, improved wellbeing, and increased resilience, and have a key role in monitoring, evaluation, and supporting the wider counselling team with reporting and using data to drive operations, and evidence-based best practice. 

Your role will also include overseeing referrals and allocation of clients; undertaking client assessments; providing role-management, and clinical support and supervision to trainee and sessional counsellors; line-management of key service personnel; some clinical support work with more complex or acute needs clients; recruiting, inducting and training key staff and volunteers; and liaising with the clinical supervision team. 

Full Time: 37 hours per week

There will be one regular evening/ week, and occasional other evening and weekend working required.

Introduction to Reset

Reset is a bold new incubation designed to dramatically change the lives of some of the most vulnerable children in England today for the better.

Reset exists for children who are on, or at risk of being placed on Deprivation of Liberty orders due to the high risks they face from themselves or others, their complex and intersecting needs, and due to the lack of effective support available.

The children Reset will support are likely to be aged 12 to 18 and face complex challenges that often stem from the impact of traumatic childhood experiences, such as mental ill-health, self-harming, being sexually and/or criminally exploited and getting caught in harmful risk-taking behaviours including the use of harmful substances such as drugs and alcohol.

Reset is determined to ensure that, wherever possible, children are able to thrive back within their own families and/or communities.

About the role

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and thoughtful coordinator to support the Chief Executive and founding team during this exciting early stage of Reset’s development.

Alongside executive support, this role offers exposure to the breadth of work at Reset, from operations to communications, philanthropy and wider organisational work.

Job Description

The role:

Reset’s Coordinator will provide high-quality organisational and administrative support to the Chief Executive and wider founding team, enabling them to work efficiently and to maximum effect.

You will play an important role in keeping the organisation running smoothly day-to-day while driving key projects and priorities across the organisation. As part of a small, high-impact team, you will gain broad exposure to a wide range of work, take on real responsibility and play a vital role in helping Reset establish itself successfully.

This role would suit someone who is highly organised, eager to learn and energised by a fast-moving and mission-driven environment where priorities shift and no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities

Executive Support

• Proactively manage complex diaries, scheduling and meeting coordination for the Chief Executive and senior team
• Anticipate the needs of the senior team by keeping on top of key priorities
• Coordinate travel, accommodation and logistics
• Prepare meeting agendas, papers and briefing documents
• Take notes, track and follow through on actions from meetings where required
• Draft emails, presentations and other documents
• Support preparation for external meetings, events and presentations

Coordination and Administration

• Support the delivery of organisational priorities and projects
• Maintain clear systems, records and filing processes
• Facilitate internal meetings and team logistics
• Assist with office management and operational administration
• Support governance processes, including preparing papers for board meetings

Stakeholder Support

• Act as a professional and welcoming point of contact for external partners and stakeholders
• Manage meeting logistics and support ongoing communications
• Support follow-up actions and relationship management

Wider team support

• Contribute to building a positive, organised and collaborative team culture
• Proactively contribute to improving systems, processes and ways of working across Reset
• Support ad hoc projects and tasks across the organisation
• Take initiative and help solve problems as they arise
• Support research, briefing and background preparation across organisational priorities where needed

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and keen to learn and who is comfortable in a small, evolving organisation where priorities may change quickly. You do not need extensive experience, but you do need strong judgement, attention to detail and a willingness to take ownership.

Essential skills, experience, and attributes

• Previous administrative, operations or coordination experience, ideally supporting senior level staff or small teams
• Excellent organisational, time management and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

We are excited to begin the search for Reset’s Coordinator. We have secured initial funding and are actively securing funding for the full two-year pilot, which includes funds for these roles. We appreciate that candidates are likely to need clarity around timing, funding and transitions, and we will have open discussions with candidates about fundraising milestones during the interview process.

This role presents opportunity to work innovatively & responsively, creating new, unique, & informative LGBTQ+ affirmative resources, providing crisis support, prevention & wellbeing initiatives; along with having a developmental role in upskilling & supervising sessional staff, trainees, interns & volunteers. 

This is an exciting job opportunity to join a dynamic & committed team, in a key frontline role working directly within our Heads-Out mental health service, which provides individualised mental health plans, crisis safety plans and support, mental wellbeing workshops, varied mental health support groups including for those seeking asylum, a trans & non-binary group; LGBTQ+ mental health group, and LGBTQ+ social connections & activities group. 

Opportunities will include delivery of specialised interventions, taking direct referrals and helping to support & stabilise those at heightened risk and/ or living through mental health crisis, plus psychoeducation workshops and group programmes will further enable you to engage, empower & support participants to build confidence, develop skills, strategies & achieve goals to improve, maintain & best manage mental health, increase mental wellbeing, and reduce and/ or prevent future crisis.

elop is a well established thriving and award-wining London based community-led LGBTQ+ mental health & wellbeing charity offering a range of high-quality and professional mental health, counselling and wellbeingsupport services to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBTQ+) communities. 

There will be one regular evening/ week and occasional other evenings and weekend working required.

NB: There will initially be both in-person office-based working with some remote home-based working required whilst we’re awaiting completion of building works and relocation to new premises
