CONTEXT OF THIS ROLE:

At Purposeful, communications is political. It is how we amplify girls’ voices, sharpen feminist narratives, and push back against regressive agendas. The Communications Director will sit at the heart of this work - shaping and delivering a bold communications strategy aligned with Purposeful’s vision, mission, and growth.

This role leads the stewardship of Purposeful’s voice, visual identity, and storytelling practice, ensuring that everything we produce - whether op-eds, reports, campaigns, or digital content - carries our politics with clarity and conviction. The Communications Director will work closely with the Co-CEOs and across all Purposeful teams, including Advocacy, grant-making, Learning & Insights, Programmes, and Resource Mobilisation, to amplify girls’ organising, showcase our impact, and influence the broader philanthropic and activist ecosystem.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role, requiring a deep commitment to feminist movements, an instinct for storytelling as political practice, and a proven track record of positioning organisations on the global stage.

SCOPE OF WORK

1. Communications Strategy & Leadership

• Lead on delivery and implementation of a new communications strategy, building on 2025 planning foundations.

• Work closely with the Co-CEOs and director team to horizon scan and adapt strategy in response to organisational vision and external landscape.

• Provide leadership to a small team of staff and consultants (designers, digital specialists, artists) and work collaboratively with partner communications leads on joint campaigns and initiatives.

• Meticulously manage and forecast the communications and editorial budget, ensuring value for money and strong planning.

• Track and analyse content performance, using insights to refine reach and engagement.

2. Storytelling & Content Development

• Oversee the creation of compelling storytelling content that highlights Purposeful’s impact, amplifies girls’ and young feminists’ voices, and influences funders.

• Lead editorial planning and content workflows, balancing evergreen storytelling with crisis-response or time-sensitive outputs.

• Oversee production and capture of content from live and digital events (webinars, IG Lives, panels, etc.).

• Coordinate brand refresh projects, including a website refresh, and strengthen Purposeful’s digital visibility with a focus on graphic-led content across social platforms.

3. Writing & Editorial Oversight

• Review and edit all external content to ensure quality, editorial standard, and alignment with Purposeful’s voice and values.

• Write op-eds, blogs, social media posts, campaign messaging, press materials, and executive summaries.

• Collaborate with colleagues in Learning & Insights to integrate data into storytelling and publications.

• Edit and manage the production of publications and reports, commissioning artists and graphic designers as needed.

• Provide editorial oversight for media projects, including radio, film, and animation.

4. Media Engagement & Positioning

• Cultivate strong relationships with international, regional, and local media outlets.

• Proactively position Purposeful in global and regional conversations, ensuring girls’ and feminist movements’ voices are at the centre.

• Lead on preparing and supporting spokespersons, including Co-CEOs and external partners, for media engagement.

• Design and execute media strategies for key campaigns, events, and publications.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Experience & Skills

• Proven experience developing and delivering communications strategies aligned with organisational goals.

• Demonstrated leadership in managing small teams and consultants.

• Strong hands-on skills in digital communication tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Canva, Adobe, basic video editing).

• Extensive experience in content planning and editorial workflows.

• Strong published track record (op-eds, blogs, media features) and evidence of positioning organisations in the public spotlight.

• Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience commissioning and managing creative contributors.

• Experience building and maintaining media relationships, particularly in activist and philanthropic contexts.

Our Client is a UK charity supporting vulnerable women and families facing unexpected pregnancy or pregnancy loss. Through supported housing, a helpline and counselling service, and practical, non-judgemental support, this Charity helps pregnant women, often aged 16-25 and in crisis due to homelessness, abuse, or other trauma, build safer, more stable futures. Guided by universal values of Humanity, Solidarity, Community, Charity and the Common Good, the Charity is strengthening its community fundraising to deepen impact nationwide. The team is now looking to appoint a Community Fundraising Lead, and Prospectus is leading the search.

Community Fundraising Lead - retention

Part time, 21 hours per week over 3 days

Hybrid - Midlands base with frequent travel to supporter locations (Home Counties/Midlands); occasional travel to Leamington Spa Head Office

£28,000-£34,000 per annum (FTE)

The Community Fundraising Lead will provide hands-on support and guidance to individuals and small volunteer groups across multiple regions, many of whom have championed the Charity for decades. You'll honour their values while ensuring the Charity's updated mission and messages are communicated clearly and consistently. Working with Marketing and Income Generation, you'll collaborate on projects, develop leads, and maximise fundraising activities with a strong focus on retention and long-term engagement.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will build on established networks, including loyal volunteer communities and church partners, overseeing initiatives such as our Ambassador programme so supporters feel confident representing the charity and sharing updates on national campaigns and community activities. You'll steward relationships at all levels, from pilgrim trek fundraisers to local bake-sale organisers, equipping volunteers with the tools, resources and recognition they need to thrive.

The successful candidate will be an empathetic, proactive relationship-builder with experience of community or volunteer-led fundraising and supporter stewardship. You'll bring strong communication skills, confidence working across faith and community settings, and the organisational flair to juggle multiple projects while maintaining excellent supporter care and compliance. Merchandise and Fulfilment Manager

The Merchandise and Fulfilment Manager role sits in the Brand team and works closely with the wider department, which includes brand, a creative studio, and production. The role supports the whole organisation to source and deliver merchandise, print materials and fulfilment services. This includes the selection and management of suppliers to achieve the best value for Alzheimer’s Research UK, whilst ensuring compliance with responsible sourcing practices. The role also requires an eye for branding and maintaining outstanding levels of consistency across our printed materials, working closely with the Creative team to achieve this. The Merchandise and Fulfilment Manager is also responsible for managing and developing the online shop.

The role has responsibility for significant budget management and relationship building, both internally and externally. The candidate will be a tenacious and driven individual who can bring a proactive and independent approach.

Key Responsibilities:

· Proactively manage and develop Alzheimer’s Research UK’s merchandise offering, ensuring it is relevant and cost efficient, and monitoring and reporting on stock levels.

· Manage and develop the Alzheimer’s Research UK online shop, monitoring sales and responding to customer queries, working with the Digital team to ensure strong day-to-day performance.

· Manage the production of printed materials including health information and events materials.

· Manage our merchandise, print and fulfilment suppliers, leading tenders, contracting, review meetings, and briefing new work.

· Create and manage the merchandise and fulfilment budget for the organisation, completing quarterly reforecasts.

· Develop excellent relationships across the organisation, supporting colleagues to plan their requirements for merchandise and printed materials.

· Play an active role in the Brand management team and the Strategic Marketing directorate, demonstrating the Alzheimer’s Research UK values and leadership attributes.

· Line Manage the Supporter Merchandise and Fulfilment Officer and support their development.

Ways of working:

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

The Soldiers' and Aviators' Scripture Readers Association (known as SASRA) is one of the longest-established Christian charities supporting the British Armed Forces. Under Royal patronage and working with over 70,000 soldiers, 30,000 RAF personnel and some 10,000 supporters of various types, we look to introduce members of the British Armed Forces to a practical experience of the Christian faith. 

We are now looking for home-based Regional Managers to help us engage with the Christian public across the UK.

The main function of Regional Managers is to bring before the Christian public the work we do taking the gospel of Jesus Christ and bringing a practical experience of the Christian faith to the young people of the British Army and Royal Air Force.

The Regional Manager will present in churches, manage a team of volunteers, establish and maintain strategic partnerships across their region, lead regional projects and events, and produce and curate a wide variety of content.

The aim is to stimulate and encourage prayer, financial support and volunteering in support and furtherance of the work of SASRA, always respecting the interdenominational nature of our ministry. You will shape and grow the fundraising activities in the region and meet with supporters.

You will have excellent organisational, verbal and written communication skills. You’ll also have experience of managing and motivating individuals or groups. Critically, you will possess the spiritual endowment to promote prayer and missionary interest for the Lord's work through the Association in HM Forces.

You will be home-based, but expected to travel inside your region on a regular basis, meeting with supporters and supporting organisations that are raising funds for SASRA

You will be responsible for raising our profile among the Christian community and generating significant levels of engagement with potential supporters of SASRA (both individuals and churches)

Some aptitude for, and experience of, pastoral work is desirable.

We are looking to recruit 4 Visitor Experience Assistants to join our team based at our London site. You will join us on a part-time basis, working 1250 hours per year on a permanent contract. In return, you will receive a salary of £17,315.28 per annum.

The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Midlands. Our purpose is to share the RAF story, past, present and future – using the stories of its people and our collections in order to engage, inform and inspire. Purpose of the Visitor Experience Assistant role:

The Museum is looking to appoint four Visitor Experience Assistants on an annualised contract.

We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate team members who understand and are committed to providing customer service excellence and puts the visitor at the centre of everything they do.

The ideal Visitor Experience Assistant will have previous visitor facing experience ideally in a leisure or heritage environment. You will need to be a confident communicator, a team player and be able to respond quickly and positively in a changing environment. Being flexible in your outlook is essential as you will be fulfilling a variety of roles at the museum.

You will also support the museum in hosting evening events from gala dinners to sleepovers and outdoor film nights. An understanding of the importance of supporting and fulfilling a ‘host’ role for corporate clients and Museum partners is desirable.

As a Visitor Experience Assistant, you will have a variety of roles which will include:

• Proactive response to ensuring the highest possible visitor standards are maintained.
• Providing a warm welcome to our visitors and enhancing every visitor’s experience at the museum through your engagement with them and your problem-solving skills.
• Supporting activities, events, general museum operations and processing visitor bookings at admissions.
• Promoting and selling museum guidebooks, services, commercial activities, and events to visitors.
• Supporting the museum’s fundraising and commercial activities.
• Providing a safe and secure experience for everyone.
• Being a first aider and fire marshal. Training for both roles will be provided.
• Inspire visitors by sharing the Royal Air Force story and the story of the people who shape the Royal Air Force.
• There will also be the opportunity to provide engaging talks to visitors.

These are permanent, part-time roles working 1250 hours annually. The working hours each week will be dependent on business requirements (maximum 35 hours per week during peak season and minimum 4 hours per week during off-peak season). You will work a flexible pattern which will include working some weekends, bank holidays and occasional evening/overnights.

About This Job

As Fundraising Assistant at sister charities, ACCT UK and CCFA, you will play a key role in the growth of existing fundraising and in the creation of new income streams. Stewarding fundraisers, helping to develop new and existing fundraising campaigns, building relationships internally within the cadet organisations and externally with Trusts and Foundations, corporates and major givers. You will provide administrative and operational support, including maintaining the fundraising database. Working closely with the rest of the Development team and in particular the Marketing department to ensure that both charities can provide increasing financial support to cadets and adult volunteers across the UK.

Auditory Verbal UK (AVUK) is an award-winning charity that wants all deaf children to have the same opportunities in life as their hearing peers.  It supports deaf babies and children to learn to listen and speak with Auditory Verbal therapy and provides internationally accredited training in Auditory Verbal practice for health and education professionals.  AVUK works to raise expectations and outcomes for deaf children and increase access to, as well as awareness and understanding of, Auditory Verbal therapy, with a clear mission to enable every family with a deaf child the opportunity to access Auditory Verbal therapy through publicly funded services close to where they live.

Overview

Working with the Head of Fundraising, you will play a key role in securing income from corporate partners and major donors to support AVUK’s bold 10-year plan. These partnerships are central to our long-term strategy to transform the landscape of Auditory Verbal provision, ensuring that every family who wants their child to learn to listen and talk can access a publicly funded Auditory Verbal programme in their local area.

This role requires experience in relationship fundraising, ideally working with businesses and/or major donors, and a strong ability to build rapport and trust. You’ll be an effective communicator and collaborator, confident in supporting income generation activities that align and elevate AVUK’s goals.

With experience of securing five to six-figure gifts, you’ll use your commercial acumen to identify and nurture your pipeline and partnerships, contributing to our annual fundraising target of £1.5m and setting the foundations for growth to £2m+ in future years.

This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, diligent, and comfortable taking initiative. You’ll thrive in a dynamic environment where relationship-building and ownership of your work are key to driving income and impact. The role is weighted towards developing new corporate partnerships, with responsibility for managing our existing partnership with Markerstudy Group, and some time spent cultivating potential major donor relationships with senior management support.  To help you succeed, you have support and guidance from our Head of Fundraising, alongside a passionate and collaborative CEO and Senior Management Team.

Contract Details

Location: Primarily remote, with 2 days a month in our London office, plus meetings with partners where required.

Working Hours: 30 hours per week (0.8 FTE); flexible working fully supported through policies and practice.

Contract Type: Fixed-term, 12 months from January – December 2026

Salary: £45,000-48,000 pa FTE depending on experience, plus benefits including 7% employer contribution to Group Pension Scheme.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate partnerships strategy

• With support and guidance from the Head of Fundraising, lead the development and delivery of AVUK’s corporate partnerships strategy in support of our overall fundraising goals.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities at a five and six figure value, unlocking new opportunities that contribute to a £130k partnerships budget this year.

 Business development & income generation

• Work closely with your fundraising and comms colleagues to create compelling proposals and pitches that resonate with corporate and major donor audiences and help you to secure new gifts / partnerships.
• Proactively grow and maintain a strong funding pipeline, creating new prospects for our priority funding areas through quality research, strategic outreach and developing engagement opportunities.

 Relationship management & external engagement

• Manage a small portfolio of corporate partnerships including our flagship partnership with Markerstudy Group, delivering excellent stewardship and ensuring long-term engagement.
• Lead the planning and delivery of the Sounds of Success event (November 2026), as a key moment in our stewardship and engagement calendar.
• Support the Head of Fundraising, CEO, and Fundraising Advisory Board in developing relationships with potential major donors, providing inspiring stewardship and maximising opportunities through networks, events, and strategic engagement.

 Effective use of systems and processes

• Champion the effective use of our Salesforce database to support you in high-quality relationship management and reporting.

The Centre for Justice Innovation is looking to recruit an Admin Coordinator who will provide administrative support to the criminal justice practice team, helping us to champion and support the implementation of evidence-based approaches in the criminal justice system. 

The role will involve providing administrative support to the Head of Women's Justice and the wider criminal justice practice team. This support will help deliver the Centre's programme of work, which focuses on assisting criminal justice practitioners, including probation, police, court staff and specialist 3rd sector practitioners to implement evidence-led approaches in the justice system. 

As the Admin Coordinator, you will work to ensure the smooth running of the Centre's Women in Justice and wider criminal justice practice projects, taking responsibility for the logistics of the work, including: (i) coordinating training, workshops and events, including a national conference; (ii) maintaining information systems and documentation; (iii) supporting data collection; and (iv) identifying and responding to queries from practitioners.

Age UK Redbridge, Barking & Havering offers an activity centre to residents of Redbridge aged 55 or above, to use for exercise and craft among other classes, and to enjoy light refreshments and a daily, 2 course, freshly prepared lunch.

We are looking for a qualified, experienced cook, with recent experience. You will need to have proof of relevant Food Hygiene training and an understanding of different dietary requirements, as well as allergy legislation and health and safety knowledge relevant to Kitchen work.

You would be expected to assist the manager in planning meals to keep within budgets and to assist with the preparation for special event occasion menus or other ad hoc catering that may be required.
