In this role, you will drive UNICEF UK's communications and media efforts for public fundraising and brand campaigns such as Soccer Aid for UNICEF,  as well as advocacy campaigns, and humanitarian emergencies. You'll manage relationships with UK media and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver ambitious, impactful media coverage that supports our income and influence goals across the Public Relations and News and Emergencies teams.

To succeed, you'll need experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating media strategies, and crafting effective communication materials to secure consumer and news coverage in key mass media outlets. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with UK journalists and stakeholders. Up-to-date knowledge of the UK media landscape and current humanitarian issues is also crucial.

In this role you will be managed by Sebastien De Menthon who is a Philanthropy Manager and joined ClientEarth in 2022, based in London. Sebastien discovered ClientEarth while studying anthropology and law at university. The high-leverage legal approach to achieve tangible progress on the climate and biodiversity crisis was immediately appealing. Since joining ClientEarth as a Philanthropy Officer, Sebastien has progressed to the Philanthropy Manager position where he supports and oversees two members of the Philanthropy Team. He has found that working in the Philanthropy Team has been a fantastic way to support ClientEarth's mission while learning about the world and developing skills in relationship management and communication. 

Main Duties

• Actively manage donor relationships across assigned portfolio of largely UK supporters with first class stewardship and reporting to secure renewals and uplifts of approximately £1m per annum.
• Develop the pipeline of new donors through effective prospect research, network mapping and connecting with new contacts at external and internal events as a representative of ClientEarth
• Support the Philanthropy Manager, Philanthropy Lead for Europe and all the Philanthropy team to create the conditions for success in the European Philanthropy Team. Collaborating with colleagues across Europe inclusively to achieve shared goals, strengthen processes and model ClientEarth’s core values of courage, collaboration, integrity and care
• Keep up to date with fundraising trends and ensure these are worked into internal activities and planning
• Build a strong network of internal relationships across programme teams to facilitate engagement between legal staff and donors

Leadership
• Champion fundraising across the organisation.
• Be an inspiring ambassador for Weston Park Cancer Charity and ensure this

Ensure that fundraising is supported by appropriate business/activity plans,

our ambitious plan to grow income.

• Work with the Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Manger to deliver and
implement a legacy pipeline and growth in In-Memory giving income.
• Work with the Individual Giving Fundraising Manager to deliver and
implement a strategy which prioritises both the retention and acquisition of
new donors, enhances the use of digital products, platforms, and channels
and delivers the highest standard of supporter care and donor stewardship.
• Lead the fundraising team to focus on deepening and strengthening existing
relationships and building a strong pipeline of new prospects to deliver multiyear
funding from major donors, high profile supporters, trusts, foundations,
and companies.
• Champion the adoption and use of Raisers Edge NXT CRM to effectively
support data-driven decision making and relationship management to
generate supporter insights in support of increased fundraising.
Brand and Marketing
• Working in collaboration with the Deputy CEO, Marketing Manager and
external agencies in the development and delivery of an integrated
marketing and communications strategy that is driven by audience insight.

• Foster a strong working relationship between the fundraising and marketing
team to inspire high-performance and results-oriented marketing.
• Build a community of supporters by delivering a seamless supporter journey
that promotes the charity’s work and delivers greater income generation.
• Empower the fundraising team to successfully deploy our brand.
• Work in partnership with the Marketing Manager to ensure content is up to
date, factually accurate and to manage reputational risk.
People Management
• Create a high-performing team that is ambitious and passionate about
Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision.
• Provide line management to direct reports, setting, and monitoring
individual performance objectives and motivating the team to be innovative
and professional in its thinking and delivery.
• Ensure all fundraising staff receive consistent and motivating direction and

You will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of projects and secretariat functions as directed by the Programme Director, Head of Project Management and the Programme and Policy Manager.

• Project administration

  • Creating meeting templates, slide decks and documents 

  • Attend meetings to take meeting minutes

  • Proof-reading project documents and artefacts

  • Assisting the project manager with task management using the Jira tool and preparing meeting agendas

• Icebreaker One secretariat administration for Steering and Advisory Groups

  • Preparation: 

    • Oversee diary management, meeting planning and scheduling

    • Creating Zoom meetings

    • Logistics, and room bookings for in person meetings/events

    • managing and updating attendee tracking lists

    • Prepare, collate and distribute meeting materials well in advance to attendees

    • Creating voting forms for items needing endorsement

What the job involves

We have an opportunity for a Senior Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Officer to join our Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team. You’ll work closely with the Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Manager to successfully plan and deliver major strategic campaigns and key brand moments, taking the lead on day-to-day project management to keep everything coordinated and running smoothly.

As a Senior Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Officer you’ll take responsibility for developing content for allocated big-ticket campaigns and brand moments, ensuring all content is consistent with our brand and tone of voice. The campaigns you’ll be working on will revolve around our brand, high value fundraising and priority campaigns seeking to drive change. You’ll develop content marketing strategies that will tell stories to reach our key audiences. Our current campaigns focus on reaching more men so they can make informed choices about their prostate cancer risk, while also working to reduce health inequalities and better engage Black men, a community disproportionately affected by prostate cancer.

Collaboration is a big part of this role.  Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll help shape high-impact content marketing strategies and integrate key messages across the organisation. You’ll also support the development of creative content for key partnerships and campaigns, ensuring content aligns with our brand and campaign objectives.

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone who’s experienced in supporting strategy and delivering major campaigns and brand moments that make a real difference and help us connect with new audiences. You’ll have a solid understanding of current communications practices and a keen eye on emerging trends, bringing fresh ideas to the table.

With excellent project management skills, you’ll be comfortable in using collaboration tools like Trello to keep everything on track. You’ll be highly organised, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.

Duties and Responsibilites: 

Involving people affected by sarcoma

• Strengthen and support our existing Involvement Network, keeping members engaged and informed.

OPERATIONS AND FINANCE OFFICER, POLITICAL STUDIES ASSOCIATION (PSA)

The Prison Phoenix Trust

The PPT are the leading experts in yoga and meditation in prisons in the UK and Ireland. Since 1988 we have supported the personal development and rehabilitation people living in prison through meditation and yoga. We do this through 121 mentoring, group yoga classes, peer support newsletters and resources such as books and DVDs that help people practise yoga and meditation in their cells. We deliver the British Wheel of Yoga’s accredited training Teaching Yoga in Prison.

A small staff and volunteer team based in Oxford works with a network of self-employed yoga and meditation teachers across the UK and Ireland.

This new role is part of an expansion of the staff team to build the capacity of the charity to meet the growing demands for its services and the income to support this.

The role

At an exciting time for the expansion of the charity’s fundraising activities, the Development Coordinator will play a pivotal role in driving and expanding the charity’s income from individual donors while leading the development and execution of community fundraising initiatives and events. This role is pivotal in building and nurturing long-term relationships with individual donors, cultivating new donor prospects, and developing innovative community engagement strategies, working with The PPT’s Development Lead.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic and passionate professional with expertise in donor relations, event management, and community fundraising. They will be skilled at creating impactful experiences that inspire both individual and collective action, making a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities

1. Individual Fundraising
Innovate and implement a donor acquisition strategy appropriate for the values of The PPT.

• Implement an audience segmentation approach to building individual, regular and legacy giving, drawing on accurate analysis of data, using The PPT’s Access database.
• Project manage delivery of quarterly postal appeals including segmentation and targeting of messaging, mail-merge and printing, dispatch by volunteers or mailing house.
• Email marketing, including use of Mailchimp to segment audiences and target messages.
• Optimise The PPT’s use of JustGiving and other fundraising platforms, regularly reviewing performance.
• Optimise fundraising functionality of The PPT’s website and support colleagues in the development and procurement of a new website.

2. Community fundraising

• Manage and plan the growth of The PPT’s community fund raising activities, with a particular focus on yoga groups and faith groups.
• Review and develop cost-effective levels of support for fundraisers.

3. Donor care:

• Manage relationships with current and prospective donors and fundraisers by ensuring timely acknowledgment of gifts.
• Refine use of automated systems, such as Mailchimp and JustGiving to automate acknowledgement of gifts where appropriate, while ensuring optimum levels of personalisation, such as hand-written cards and notes.  Fulfil established donor journeys, ensuring donor led and annual stewardship is met.

4. Data management, analysis and reporting

• Maintain and update The PPT’s supporter database, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.  Initially using Access and adapt with the move to a new database/CRM programme.
• Track, monitor and report quarterly on results of FR activities
• Support colleagues in the development and procurement of a new database and/or customer relationship management system.

5. Event Coordination

• Plan and project manage delivery of The PPT’s public facing, fundraising and donor stewardship events including planning, promotion, logistics, and follow-up.
• Integrate donor care into event planning, ensuring that donors feel personally valued and appreciated before, during, and after events.
• Work with Communications Coordinator in producing printed and display materials for events.
• Plan and project-manage delivery of The PPT’s presence at networking events for example in yoga, faith and criminal justice communities.

6. Communications and Marketing

• Contribute to development of social media audiences to meet charity’s profile-raising and fundraising objectives.
• Craft compelling messages and content for supporter communications that highlight The PPT’s mission and impact.

Skills and Qualifications:

Essential

• Proven fundraising experience, especially in individual giving (e.g., regular giving, legacies, donor stewardship, direct mail, online fundraising
• Knowledge of best practices and ethical standards in fundraising, with a strong focus on donor care
• Expertise in using Excel and Access to analyse and report on fundraising data
• Skilled in using Mailchimp and CRM systems (e.g. Donorfy, Beacon, Salesforce) to manage donor journeys and stewardship - Comfortable analysing donor trends and campaign performance

The Office and Services Coordinator (OSC) plays a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across The Winch and Belsize Community Library. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for delivering a warm and welcoming front-of-house experience for visitors, including children, young people, staff, tenants, and contractors. OUTLINE OF THE ROLE

Work with the Trustees to devise and lead new fundraising initiatives that fulfil the objectives of the Trust's Fundraising Strategy and annual income budget, with particular focus on regular giving across all alumni, gifts from high-net-worth individuals, and legacies. This will involve:

• Developing and delivering improved communications to build a stronger connected donor network.

KEY TASKS

Work with the Trustees and Fundraising Committee to devise and implement the following:

• Improve communications

The Trust has a strong, growing, and engaged network of loyal alumni who already support the Trust's beneficiaries through fundraising and volunteering. However, the Trust's communications need to be improved in order to increase the numbers of donors who provide sustained financial support and inspire all donors to raise their level of donations. Continually find opportunities to engage new donors and ensure clear consistent messaging.

• Manage and maintain donor data

The Trust needs to maintain a full and accurate database of all donors and fundraising activities to support long-term tracking and inform future fundraising. This also requires networking among alumni and being vigilant to changes in alumni data.

• Research and approach alumni whose connection with the Trust has lapsed

Continue to grow the active network through researching and motivating dormant and lapsed alumni to reconnect with the Trust.

• Research untapped prospects

Research the database with a view to identifying dormant and untapped opportunities, especially regarding

high-net-worth individuals and legacies. Ensure fundraising approaches are well-targeted and informed in order to maximise the chances of success. This will expand to include non-alumni sources, including institutional sources such as foundations and other trusts.

• Ensure long-term donor connection

Communicate with all donors to demonstrate the impact they can make by showcasing the current and long-term outcome of programs. Deliver a diverse selection of communications to engage different audiences, with a clear plan for all members of the network. Ensure donors are connected to the Trust, value the Trust's activities and actively help fund opportunities.

• Reporting to the Trustees

Create an annual donor impact report to the Trustees, and other stakeholders such as alumni, that delineates donor statistics, reviews communications and events that have taken place during the past year and identifies potential prospects and events for developing in the coming year. Also provide a lower-level oral report of fundraising activities and communications to the Trustees at their quarterly meetings.

• Deliver income growth target

Acquire enough new donations to meet agreed annual income growth targets set by the Trustees.

You will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the charity and its overall objectives. For instance, organizing fund-raising specific events in different regions. This position could evolve into a full-time commitment with a support team, but at the present time, support to this role will be provided through the existing network of volunteers.
