The Business Analyst role will initially support the successful delivery of the Launchpad programme and, following its completion, will focus on driving continuous improvement and change initiatives on our new Salesforce Lightning CRM and other related platforms.
Overall objectives:
- Contribute to the successful delivery of the Launchpad programme by supporting project and workstream activities such as business process mapping.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, analyse, and prioritise business needs and translate them into actionable requirements.

We’re looking for an ambitious fundraiser to successfully implement key objectives within our five-year fundraising strategy to enable our community projects to thrive and grow. The successful candidate will be able to work independently with a proactive attitude, as well as working collaboratively within our wider team.
This is an exciting role that would suit a fundraiser who is looking for a new challenge, someone who has a successful track record in securing grants & leading fundraising initiatives and who wants to move to the next stage of their career by leading on a multi-faceted 5-year fundraising strategy for a small but growing grass roots organisation. About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, driven and passionate Head of Public Fundraising to lead the mass fundraising team to achieve sustainable income growth over the coming years. We are looking for someone with energy and ambition, who can demonstrate strategic leadership to maximise fundraising opportunities across Community, Challenge Events, Regular Giving, Legacy and In Memory audiences, to grow our supporter networks and optimise supporter engagement and experience. Leukaemia UK and You
We have recently invested in growing our fundraising team so that we can fund more life-changing research to increase our understanding of leukemia as a disease, and accelerate the development of kinder, more effective treatments. This includes investment to grow the public fundraising team, develop new fundraising products, recruit new supporters, and increase legacy giving through targeted campaigns.
We are also in the process of developing our new 5-year fundraising strategy, so you will be instrumental in creating an ambitious new plan to develop a diverse and sustainable mass fundraising portfolio, covering the key areas of donor acquisition, retention, and growth, with a focus on maximising our Challenge and Community events portfolio, and increasing Legacy, In Memory and Regular giving. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a portfolio of products to grow voluntary income, whilst leading a newly expanded and ambitious team. And you will help shape our data strategy, working with the Head of Digital and other colleagues across the organisation to develop our digital fundraising strategy; embed usage of our CRM and ensure GDPR compliance.
You will be results-driven with an appetite to innovate and drive continuous improvement, leading to increased conversions, deepened relationships, and long-term support.
Requirements - Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience of strategic leadership and oversight of a mass fundraising product portfolio.
- Proven experience of managing an engaging Community and Challenge Events fundraising portfolio.
- Proven experience of driving Legacy and In Memory giving to create a robust long-term pipeline. Experience of successfully developing and implementing legacy marketing strategies.
- Proven experience of applying the principles and techniques of Individual Giving / Direct Marketing within a multichannel, multi-discipline environment to deliver significant returns and supporter satisfaction, especially through supporter recruitment channels.
- Experience of fully integrating a CRM database as a tool in the day-to-day work and running of a charity.
- Demonstrable experience of managing a high performing team, focussing on creating a culture where people thrive as individuals and can be their best selves.
- Experience of managing multi-channel media campaigns by utilising print and digital channels including social media and email.
- Good experience of building effective relationships with internal and external partners, including creative freelancers, media and direct marketing agencies.
- Experience of working with, negotiating with, and managing outputs of external agencies and internal departments, including contractual obligations.

- Up-to-date knowledge of current digital fundraising trends, including social media marketing.
- High Level knowledge of Salesforce CRM databases and how best to utilise to steward supporters.
- Knowledge and experience of marketing processes and techniques across varied channels.
- High Level knowledge of legacy administration.
- High Level knowledge and understanding of charity law in relation to legacy fundraising, GDPR, PECR, data protection and other relevant fundraising regulation.
Role specifics & Benefits
- Hours: Full time hours are 37.5 Monday to Friday
- Location: We are very flexible! Our hybrid working policy is a minimum of two days per month in our London office unless it’s a role requirement to be in more frequently. Typically, we would expect the role holder to be in the office once a week, and certain roles within the team have this as a minimum requirement.

The role
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and ambitious Business Development Manager to lead our organisational efforts around income generation. The role is ideal for someone with experience in fundraising and/or business development interested in leading the work of a small but impactful and highly respected charity in the health and social care space.

Responsibilities
Maintain and grow a strong pipeline of funders and clients
· Overseeing the work of our Membership, Development and Partnership Officer in bringing together weekly information on publicly advertised funding opportunities, periodically testing new search words in line with our strategic and commercial interests.
· Ensuring we have access to relevant tendering frameworks.
· Maintaining a pipeline of charitable Trusts and Foundations.
Write and submit bids, and support others to
· In some instances, leading on bid writing – drafting, costing and submitting high quality bids for both project and core funding.

· Matching project ideas from across the team with funding opportunities.

Manage our partnership scheme
· Take lead responsibility for client management and renewals for organisations on our partnership scheme.
· Coordinate responses to partnership requests within our staff team. Co-ordinate, develop and oversee the delivery of our partnership offer.

Our approach to hybrid working
We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.
We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to-face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.
We assume that this would usually not amount to more than one day per fortnight for people who work full time.

Preparing monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns for RCVS (the professional membership organisation or ‘College’) in accordance with relevant RCVS policies and UK legislation including UK GAAP and the Charities SORP.
Key Responsibilities
- To prepare accurate monthly cost centre and college wide management accounts for RCVS to an agreed timetable for varying audiences, including variance analysis, with appropriate relevant commentary.
- To review and discuss the cost centre management accounts with the Heads of Department throughout the year and to enhance reporting and understanding
- To prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and review them working with the Transactional Finance Lead.
- To work with the Head of Finance (HoF) preparing budgets, forecasts, financial monitoring and commentary
- To manage departmental cost allocations
- To maintain the chart of accounts and data integrity of the accounting system including deleting and archiving historic financial data as appropriate

The Digital Fundraising Growth Manager will manage our digital paid media planning and delivery, driving audience engagement at all stages of the marketing funnel, specifically with the aim of delivering growth in our supporter base and income.

Human Resources Manager

The Role
Playing an essential role in our small, dynamic team, the HR Manager will be a key driver of a thriving workplace culture, ensuring that Shift’s people strategies align with our organizational goals. In this role, you will lead core HR functions, including compliance, recruitment, employee development, and policy implementation, while serving as a trusted advisor to leadership on all people-related matters.
Working closely with the COO, you will develop and implement systems that enhance retention, engagement, and performance. Beyond strategic HR leadership, this role also involves hands-on operational and administrative responsibilities, contributing to Shift’s overall efficiency and success.
What You Will Do
The HR Manager will carry out the following essential functions of this role:
HR Leadership
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor, aligning people strategies with Shift’s mission and organizational objectives.
- Partner with Shift leadership on strategic workforce planning, organizational development, and talent retention.
- Lead diversity, equity, inclusion, engagement and well-being initiatives, ensuring a culture of respect and belonging.
- Provide coaching to leadership and managers, facilitate change management and high-performance work environments.
- Implement organizational policies.
Performance Management, Development & Workplace Culture
- Implement and oversee regular performance evaluation processes.
- Support leadership in coaching, feedback, and career development programs for all employees.
- Identify training needs and facilitate team learning initiatives.
- In partnership with COO, investigate and ensure resolution of employee concerns, fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace.
- Guide managers on employee relations, performance coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Drive initiatives to enhance team engagement, well-being, and professional growth.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, from job posting to candidate selection and onboarding.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation to integrate new employees effectively.
Compensation, Benefits & Compliance
- Partner with Shift’s Head of Finance and COO to manage compensation, administer employee benefits, including health insurance, and retirement plans.
- Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws across all relevant jurisdictions, working with external providers where relevant.
Operations & Administrative Support
- Support the implementation of systems for internal communication, knowledge management and team-wide collaboration.
- Oversee HR administrative tasks, including remote work logistics and coworking subscriptions.

- Coordinate logistics for team retreats and support logistics for other events.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
The person in this role will be expected to travel, as needed, for occasional in-person activity.
What You Bring to the Team
- 5+ years of HR management / generalist experience, ideally in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels.
- Ability to multi-task, work effectively, and produce high-quality work in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience in recruiting, employee relations, and HR operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, international environment.
- Proficiency in English.
- Existing permission to work in the US or the UK.
- Ability to travel when needed for in-person events.
- Exceptional communication, confidentiality, discretion, and relationship-building skills.
