Your role

To lead on trust fundraising at SeeAbility and to grow and diversify trust and foundation income in line with SeeAbility’s aspirations.

Your responsibilities

• Lead on the development and delivery of a trusts strategy, overseeing the whole trusts portfolio, to generate agreed annual targets for SeeAbility.
• Be the charity’s expert in trust fundraising, adopting a data-driven approach, keeping abreast of sector developments and making the business case for change where appropriate.
• Develop and enhance relationships with existing trusts, delivering first-class stewardship, making appropriate and timely applications to secure agreed annual budget and ensuring that all reporting is completed in line with guidelines.
• Focus on new business and lead on creative, inspiring and professional proposals to trust and statutory funders that operate within the charity’s values and ethical policy.
• Manage, support and mentor the Trusts Fundraiser to secure funds from trusts and statutory sources of income. To lead any further expansion of the trust team in the future if the opportunity arises.
• Implement the systems, tools and procedures to proactively identify new funders that align with SeeAbility’s strategy and ethical policy.
• Work across the organisation to generate new and innovative ways to package up SeeAbility’s work to secure funding.
• To be responsible for setting, monitoring and reporting on income and expenditure budgets and key performance indicators
• To be responsible for developing and delivering the annual work plan for trusts fundraising
• Engage staff across the organisation in trust fundraising to support proposal development, reporting and stewardship and to grow the fundraising culture.
• Ensure all trust records are kept up-do-date on the database.
• Work closely with fundraising colleagues to cultivate a supportive and collaborative fundraising team.

About The Role

This is an amazing opportunity to join our ambitious Bespoke Events team on a fixed term contract until February 2026. We are recruiting for a Bespoke Events Fundraising Manager to deliver an incredible supporter experience for our participants and raise £9M in the 25/26 financial year.

This role is a key managerial position within the Bespoke Events team, playing an integral part in the delivery of our ambitious targets. You will develop and strategically project manage our Trek26 series to drive strong recruitment and enhance supporter experience, maximising income and exceeding targets.

You will have good budget and financial management skills, these are essential to ensure the team are meeting or exceeding targets as well as flexing and adapting in response to event performance and external factors.

You’ll have excellent communication skills and have experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. You’ll have brilliant influencing and negotiating skills to secure and maintain great events partnerships for the Society. Crucially, you will be an experienced project manager, able to bring people together, look for opportunities to drive efficiencies and maximise income from the programme.

What you’ll focus on:
You’ll support the Trek26 team through the remainder of delivery of the 2025 events season, as well as evaluations and preparation for the 2026 series of events. You will also work on season other key projects including:

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now looking to build a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. At Birmingham Hippodrome you will work in a dynamic, creative environment where no two days are the same, implementing successful fundraising initiatives, including events that attract corporate support.

This is a fast-paced and varied role for a committed and enthusiastic person who will be expected to work to deadlines, collaborating closely with colleagues in other departments across the organisation. You will work closely with the Executive team, Fundraising colleagues and other departments across the organisation while building productive relationships with the Board of Trustees that maximise our corporate relationships across wider networks.

This is a full-time, permanent role with us, in a hybrid capacity. The expectation is a minimum of 2 days per week onsite, and frequent appointments with current and potential supporters across the city, which may be outside the onsite days. The role will require some evening work at on and off-site networking events, hosting Corporate Patron visits and cultivation events. There will be occasional visits to our projects involving vulnerable populations, so the successful candidate will need to have, or be willing to undergo, a Basic DBS check. There are occasional weekend commitments, for which plenty of notice is given.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Communications and Events Coordinator lead the development and delivery of Khulisa’s communications strategy and key campaigns, designed to engage our supporters, stakeholders, and the wider UK public.

About Khulisa: 

Khulisa, meaning 'nurture' in the Zulu language of South Africa, is an award-winning charity dedicated to providing therapeutic support to young people. We focus on reaching those who are most at risk – young people from deprived communities who are often marginalized, vulnerable to exclusion, and at heightened risk of becoming involved in crime.

Our approach centres on safe, exploratory methods that aim to understand behaviour and experiences often rooted in trauma, abuse, and neglect. We deliver intensive therapeutic programs within educational and community settings, empowering young people to confront the underlying causes of their emotional distress and work toward healing. To create lasting, sustainable change, we also work to establish trauma-informed environments around young people by equipping parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals with the tools they need to offer effective, supportive care. About the role: 

This role will be a key part of helping to raise awareness of Khulisa’s mission and the issues we address, strengthening support for our programmes. The postholders will also take ownership of planning and delivering all Khulisa events, ensuring they are impactful and well-executed.

• Develop and deliver Khulisa’s Communications and Branding Strategy in line with the strategic plan.
• Lead public engagement campaigns to raise awareness, promote youth voice, and drive participation.
• Plan and manage events, including fundraising and challenge events, from concept to delivery.
• Create and manage digital content across social media, website, newsletters, and other channels.

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Beneficiary Events Officer who will curate and promote the charity’s revered events programme, which includes regular online webinars and support groups delivered by diagnosis, a growing portfolio of volunteer-led face-to-face meet-ups across the UK, and an annual in-person conference.
