CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

The Role

Challenge Events at CoppaFeel! are going through a very exciting period of growth! Therefore, we are looking for a passionate new team member to take on the role of Challenge Events Assistant for our bespoke (CoppaFeel! led) challenge events.

The role of Challenge Events Assistant will sit within the CoppaFeel! Challenge Events team, in the Fundraising Department.

You will mostly work alongside our Bespoke Challenge Events Manager and another Challenge Events Assistant to support on CoppaFeel!’s Bespoke Challenge Events portfolio - consisting of our 5 flagship ‘CoppaTrek!’ events that will look to bring in over £2 million in 2025.

Whilst our trekking events will be your main focus, you may also have the opportunity to support our sporting events programme that includes iconic events such as the London Marathon, London Landmarks Half Marathon, Royal Parks Half Marathon and Hackney Half - to name but a few!

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our CoppaTrek! participants, providing excellent supporter experience and building relationships whilst offering motivation and fundraising advice. Alongside delivering outstanding supporter care, you will also handle essential administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day operations and so that our events go off without a hitch.

This role does require some evening and weekend work - although not behind the laptop! Instead you’ll be lacing up your hiking boots, and walking and talking alongside our CoppaTrek! participants. Therefore, please bear in mind that as part of this role, you will be expected to travel and may have to stay away from home on occasion. Should you be required to work on weekends, you will be entitled to time off in lieu.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office at least 2 days per week. You will also be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training. We will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes

Duties and Responsibilities
Bespoke Challenge Events (CoppaTrek!)

• Support the Bespoke Challenge Event manager with the planning and delivery of CoppaFeel!’s 5 CoppaTrek! events.
• Be the first point of contact for CoppaTrek! participants in the build up to, and following the event; including the sending of regular emails, phone calls, distribution of fundraising materials and the organisation of trekker Zoom meetups
• Assist with management of Events Inbox to ensure all emails are responded to in a friendly and timely manner
• Send fundraising materials, incentives and merchandise to our trek participants
• Provide an excellent supporter experience and build relationships with participants, whilst offering motivation, fundraising advice and ensure they reach their fundraising targets
• Be willing to attend our treks in person, assisting the Bespoke Challenge Events Manager with the smooth running of the event

General Responsibilities

• Respond to a range of fundraising enquiries in a timely manner, liaising with supporters via email and over the phone as appropriate
• Send out ad hoc postal requests for Fundraising materials from CoppaFeel!’s office
• Maintain event database records and ensure supporter data is kept accurate and up to date
• Manage volunteers and fundraisers effectively, inspiring them to support CoppaFeel! long term
• Attend and support at additional events - including our third-party challenge events and our awareness events
• Work and collaborate across all departments of CoppaFeel! to ensure our health messaging and core values are at the heart of everything we do
• Work flexibly and sometimes remotely, with occasional work outside core hours including weekends (time off in lieu given for weekend work)
• Adhere to GDPR requirements.
• Participate in CoppaFeel! fundraising team and full team meetings.

Events at Unifrog

Whether we’re hosting our annual conference for 300 teachers and advisors in the UK, delivering networking events for international school counselors across the world, or bringing together professionals from across the university and employer sectors to provide them with networking opportunities and unique insights into our student audience, we strive to make our events as engaging and useful as possible.

All events at Unifrog are created to best support our students, teachers and advisors, and our university and employer partners at key stages of the academic year: 

• In-person conferences give UK teachers and advisors the chance to connect with top universities and employers, keep up-to-date with the latest in careers education, and network with the Unifrog team.

• International networking events take place in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia to facilitate one-on-one conversations between university representatives and international school counselors, giving counselors the valuable opportunity to get tailored advice and guidance relevant to them and their students. 

• We also run loads of virtual events throughout the year for all our different audiences, including large scale virtual university and apprenticeship fairs for students. 

• In addition, Unifrog’s partner-facing teams attend external conferences and events across the globe to network with partners and prospective partners. The Events team makes sure they have all the conference kit and marketing materials they need to be successful. 

What you’ll do

As Events Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the team to make sure all our events are delivered to the highest standard. You’ll be working closely alongside our Head of Events and Events Leads as part of our growing Marketing team to make sure all our events help students to make informed decisions about their next steps. 

In-person events:

• Work alongside the Event Lead, the main point of contact for Unifrog’s in-person conferences and events, to support the planning and delivery of these events and make sure they’re a success.

• Play a key role on the day - lead on the set up and pack down of events and be an expert on the event logistics, on hand to support attendees, the Event Lead, and the rest of the Unifrog team.

• Manage the registration desk and welcome attendees as they arrive, giving them a fantastic first impression of the event and helping them with any questions they may have. 

• Support with research and planning future events, including conducting initial site visits.

• Support with writing and sending conversion and follow-up emails for events.

• Draw on your own experiences to make sure that all our events are relevant and provide value to our different audiences.

Virtual events:

• Work alongside the Event Lead, the main point of contact for Unifrog’s webinar series and university fairs, to support the planning and delivery of these events.

• Ensure the smooth running of our university fairs. Become an expert user of the iVent platform – send reminders of session start times, spark conversations on the chat function, and solve any technical issues.

• Act as a host for some of our events – run live sessions, field questions from participants, and facilitate discussions between our expert panelists.

External conferences:

• Provide ad hoc support with the logistics of our conference equipment and make sure equipment and materials are delivered to external conferences and returned to the office in time.

Other responsibilities:

• Support with our events inbox to make sure all emails are responded to in a friendly and professional manner within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays). 

• Develop an in-depth understanding of our different audiences. 

• Support the wider Marketing and Events team with ad-hoc requests. 

What we’re looking for

• An experienced and confident events professional who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders at in-person events, brings positive energy to the team, and is excited by the opportunity to support events around the world

• Experience in organising events, especially in-person events

• Highly organised and happy to have responsibility for different projects and deadlines

• Confident with Google sheets and docs as well as Zoom, and happy to learn new platforms such as iVent

Key Responsibilities

The Event Manager plans and organises events, from start to finish, to ensure their successful delivery across Brixton House 7 studio spaces, 2 theatres and Café Bar.

No one day is the same at Brixton House. The versatility of the building enables us to host a wide range of events such as Meetings, Screenings, Conferences, Festivals, Music Gigs and Book Launches.

Event Coordination

• Meet with the client to understand the requirements of the event and the vision of the delivery
• Coordinate the various internal teams (technical, production, Customer Service Host) prior and on the day of the event

Venue Space Management

• Ensure the venue is fully equipped with tools, furniture, AV equipment

We are working in partnership with a Richard House Children’s Hospice to secure their new Events Manager. Richard House helps children and their families in East London to lead as happy a life as possible when dealing with a life-limiting health condition. From the moment a child is diagnosed with a life-limiting, life-threatening or complex health condition everything changes. These changes affect the whole family, which is why Richard House feel it is vital not only to provide care to the child but to support the whole family. As a member of the fundraising team, you will directly support the charity’s work, as the majority of their services are funded thanks to the generosity of their supporters. 

The Events Manager will develop an events programme that delivers excellent supporter-care to all fundraisers and supporters taking part in an event or organising their own activities, maximising income from these fundraising streams. Harnessing current supporters and leading the growth of our existing network of community and event supporters is key to this role, with a focus on developing pro-active individuals, corporates and groups wanting to engage with and support events. The role will be hands on, focused on operational delivery, supporting crucial short- and medium-term funding impact, as well as longer-term and sustainable corporate income for Richard House.

This role is offered on an interim basis, but with the option to become permanent.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• A track record in managing and delivering fundraising events, including participant cultivation and stewardship. 
• Evidence of developing supporter-care processes to increase engagement. 
• Experience of the practical application of the Fundraising Regulator, Gift Aid and Data Protection legislation.

Job Purpose 

BSR events are a key benefit to members and the wider rheumatology community, offering the very latest in science, innovation, research and cases.  

Our events team deliver the award-winning Annual Conference in a hybrid format to c2500 delegates, plus our Case-based Conference, as well as a programme of celebratory awards.  

This role sits within the Events team which is responsible for delivering BSR’s annual conferences and awards. The team of four includes the Head of Events, Events Manager, Digital Events Manager and the Events Executive, who assists in the planning and delivery of our hybrid and in-person events. You will work on a range of areas including registration, logistics, being the main point of contact for delegates, and liaising with venues and suppliers. This is an exciting role for someone looking to get more exposure to different areas of events and working with multiple stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage the registration process for BSR conferences, including online booking journey, managing CRM/registration systems, end to end customer service and reporting registration data insights.  
• Work with the Events Manager on the delivery of conference programmes and networking events.  
• Lead on event logistics including awards, abstract poster submissions, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation, accommodation, travel arrangements and speaker expenses.

Job summary

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a charity that supports members who work in, or are interested in, tropical medicine and global health.

In September 2028 it is hosting the International Congress for Tropical Medicine and Malaria (ICTMM) on behalf of the International Federation for Tropical Medicine (IFTM), in Liverpool, UK.

ICTMM 2028 expects to receive over 1,500 attendees, hopefully with over 40% coming from outside of Europe. It is an educational meeting with a high proportion of the content driven by abstracts. The event is being delivered by RSTMH with the support of a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO).

The ICTMM Events Manager has responsibility for coordinating the development and delivery of ICTMM 2028 at RSTMH, working with the RSTMH team, the PCO, the event venue ACC Liverpool, IFTM, and other suppliers.  The individual would be based at RSTMH where the role would start on a part-time basis and move to be full-time 17 months before the event.

The role requires an able self-starter who understand the logistics and considerations of running a scientific, abstract-driven event of 1,500+ attendees, of working with a PCO and of educational events attended by a high number of international guests.  There will be some travel to Liverpool and the role would require some overnight stays there before and during the event.

The candidate needs to have excellent event management and project management skills, communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised and flexible with a great attention to detail.  They should be as comfortable developing an events strategy, as answering queries about tickets sales, and negotiating sponsorship. Alongside delivering the ICTMM meeting there are opportunities for partners to deliver events at the same venue, which are also the responsibility of the events manager.

The role will start as one day per week and then move to be full time as we approach the event. The current expected timings are

• Up until 31 March 2026 – 7 hours/1 day per week
• 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 – 21 hours/3 days per week
• 1 April 2027 to 30 September 2028 – 35 hours/ 5 days per week

Up to 1 April 2027 the role is purely office based, and there is flexibility to work the hours between Tuesday and Friday (not Mondays). The role has core hours of 10am-4pm so the working day needs to be within these hours.

The role may require work in the evenings or weekends and potential time staying in Liverpool.

Main responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive project plan for all aspects of ICTMM 2028, working with the PCO, and be responsible for ensuring all stakeholders meet deadlines leading up to the event
• Coordinate stakeholders working on ICTMM 2028, ensuring all are up to date with progress and relations run smoothly – including RSTMH, PCO, conference venue, IFTM, ICTMM Strategic, Sponsorship and Scientific Committees and other third parties

Prostate Cancer Research exists to honour the men and families who have been through things no family should have to go through, and to work for a future where no one needs to fear a prostate cancer diagnosis. 

We are always working to provide resources to help, support and empower patients. Giving them the information they need to make better choices about their treatment, while working to identify and target specific unmet needs in the prostate cancer ecosystem, such as racial inequality and bone metastasis.

It’s been a successful few years for PCR’s Events team with good results across the portfolio, raising over £1.4m (against a target of £800k) in 2023-24 and more than £2.3m in 2024-25 (against a target of £1.7m). The team structure has recently been refreshed, bringing in new roles to ease capacity and ensure the whole team can do their best work – contributing to PCR’s lifesaving mission, developing in their careers and enjoying their jobs within our ambitious and supportive team. 

This role is a new position within the structure, created to focus on our growing third-party events portfolio, an area which is performing well across the sector and deserves more attention. It is an important role which will oversee the innovation, planning and delivery of all third-party events, whilst taking a leading role on wider infrastructure development for the team.

You will work with colleagues across the organisation to seize opportunities, whilst ensuring best practice in our fundraising activity and the delivery of brilliant stewardship during supporters’ participation in third-party events & beyond.

• Work with the team to embed our agile ways of working, modelling the principle of collective responsibility. 

• Attend and contribute to meetings, sharing new ideas and learnings that might be useful for the wider team. 

• Work with the Head of E&C and other Events team managers to embed and model PCR’s organisational values: innovation, collaboration, accountability and championing the patient voice. 

The Events & Community Manager may also get involved with other projects and tasks as appropriate to support Public Fundraising activities. Attendance may be required at some weekend and evening events, for which TOIL will be given.

Skills and Competencies 

Our ideal candidate would be proactive team player, with: 

• A willingness to get stuck in, eager to learn and strong sense of personal accountability. 

• Confident event and project management skills, including end-to-end planning, budgeting & results tracking. 

• An understanding and (ideally) experience of third-party challenge events or similar peer-to-peer fundraising activity. 

• The ability to see opportunities and drive progress in existing events – and finding our next successful ones!

• An ability to oversee others’ work, delegate & give feedback effectively, and to take a leadership role within the team. 

• Excellent organisational skills & an ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, identifying the most valuable use of time 

• Great communication and stakeholder management skills.

• The ability to motivate and inspire a range of audiences through relationship building and storytelling.

• Good attention to detail and IT Skills. 

• A strong belief in the work we do at PCR and committed to PCR’s values.
