This is a permanent full-time role, home based with regular UK wide travel.

This is a key role supporting the NFF team to amplify the experience of flooded people and the work of the National Flood Forum.  We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Communications & Campaigns Manager to join our team. This role will support national campaigns, amplify our key messages and activity across regions, platforms and stakeholders. You will be a key contact and will help us tell powerful stories about flooding and flooded people.

Responsibilities

Strategic Communications & Storytelling

• Translate community activity and project work into compelling stories and campaigns that raise the voices of those affected by flooding.
• Contribute creative ideas to grow awareness of the National Flood Forum’s work and impact.
• Adapt messages to resonate with a variety of audiences, including policymakers, partners, media, and communities.

Content Creation & Digital Media

• Create engaging digital and written content, including newsletters, blogs, website content, case studies, and social media posts.
• Support and build on the development of the NFF’s website
• Drive integrated campaign work by aligning digital, press, and stakeholder communications.
• Identify and utilise external opportunities (e.g. climate events, flooding anniversaries, policy milestones) to share relevant content.
• Create a bank of case studies to highlight the issues flooded people face.

Campaigns & Public Engagement

• Co-ordinate campaign timelines and content plans to support campaigns
• Report on the performance and reach of campaigns and support the wider team in evaluating impact.
• Organise, devise, attend and support events—online and in person—helping regional teams share their work effectively.

Media & External Relations

• Identify and cultivate relationships with the media, write press releases and media materials and identify case studies or spokespeople.
• Build strong working relationships with community flood groups to help them share their stories in the media.
• Monitor media coverage and engage with media opportunities aligned with NFF’s mission.

Internal Communications & Capacity Building

• Work with the leader team to manage the internal communications and support staff with templates, messaging guidance, and digital tools.
• Produce and distribute the internal newsletter, gathering updates and impact stories from teams and regional staff.
• Support staff and volunteers with communications training and briefings to build confidence and skills.

Knowledge Management & Brand Consistency

• Keep internal communication and campaign assets up to date.
• Feed insights from staff and communities into the improvement of communication tools and templates.
• Work to ensure consistent branding and accessibility across all channels.

Day-to-Day Activities

· You will create content for a variety of audiences and stakeholders in a number of different formats

Overall purpose

Reporting to the Director of People, the HR Manager will take responsibility for the operational delivery of Breaking Barriers’ key People and HR activities and initiatives. You will have a strong knowledge of all aspects HR and provide proactive, practical support on day-to-day operations as well as leading strategic HR projects. A keen understanding of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the workplace and employee wellbeing is an advantage.

This role is essential to ensure we continue to be an effective, inclusive and people-led organisation. Your role will be vital in making sure Breaking Barriers is and continues to be a great place to work for its staff.

You will deliver day to day HR support to team members and managers, work across the organisation to advise on HR policies and good practice, deliver recruitment processes, and deliver and track Learning & Development. You will support on wider strategic initiatives, working with the Director of People to embed new strategies and projects informed by employee feedback.

Involving people affected by sarcoma

• Strengthen and support our existing Involvement Network, keeping members engaged and informed.

Our Aims

The Role

The Community Centre Manager will play a key role in the leadership and smooth running of The Edward Woods centre, managing change, growth and performance as agreed with the CEO. Duties and Responsibilities

Management of the Community Centre

• Manage the operations of the Community Centre, its staff and the development and delivery of activities and facilities in line with the business and strategic plan.

• Ensure compliance with employment law and that we follow good practice regarding HR.

• Contribute to the planning, development, implementation and delivery of the business and strategic plan and present regular progress updates to the UPG Management team.

Edward Woods Community Centre has a small team of employees, tenants, volunteers and a

wide range of activities. it is expected that the post holder will be flexible in assisting in areas of work which go beyond their main duties. In particular, the holder of this post will be expected to assist with covering frontline reception and administrative duties and attendance at and/or supervision of events outside of normal working hours.

Corporate Giving at SPEAR comprises just over 20% of our fundraised income, with a mix of direct giving, local COY partnerships and employee fundraising. Local Event Coordinator

Remote based in North West England

Job Purpose: 

To plan, coordinate, and deliver a range of local events across North West England, ensuring each event is well-organised, inclusive, and engaging for local communities. The Local Event Coordinator will collaborate closely with partners, local authorities, suppliers, volunteers, and members to deliver high-quality, unique and memorable experiences.

Partnership and Strategy Manager - Western Forest

The Partnerships and Strategy Manager at Western Forest will be responsible for managing and nurturing partnership relations across the Western Forest area. This role ensures that all partners are supported and resourced to develop and deliver the collective vision of the forest, helping to achieve key targets. The manager will work closely with national and regional organisations, Local Planning Authorities (LPAs), landowners, corporate partners, and developers to create strategic plans, secure significant projects, and develop long-term collaborative relationships. They will also assist with funding applications and support the Western Forest Director in establishing new partnerships.

Salary: £36,750-40,171, with annual pay review

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working hours

Contract: Permanent

Location: Bristol with the option of hybrid working. Travel and meetings across the Western Forest area and working at partner offices will also be required.

In this key role, you will develop and promote policy positions that ensure our voice is heard in public debates and among decision-makers. You'll work with a wide range of stakeholders to influence change and improve support for people living with and affected by motor neurone disease. We're looking for a Policy Manager with strong analytical skills, political insight and clear communication abilities, who can work confidently both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop policy, research and analysis work to position the MND Association in key debates
• Monitor and analyse public policy to identify barriers and propose evidence-based solutions to support campaigns, briefings and submission
• Communicate the MND Association's position through high-quality briefings, reports, submissions and speeches
• Develop and maintain relationships with policymakers, government officials, and key sector organisations
• Represent the Association in external policy and consultation forums
• Support the implementation and evaluation of the Association's Public Affairs and Campaigns strategy
• Keep internal colleagues informed of relevant policy developments
• Circulate policy positions to varied audiences in accessible formats
• Lead and support policy-related meetings, seminars and consultations
• Line-manage Policy Advisers and oversee commissioned projects where required

About You:

• In-depth knowledge of health and/or social policy in the UK
• Strong understanding of UK political systems, including Westminster and the devolved nations
• Proven experience in delivering impactful research and policy analysis
• A successful track record of policy development and influencing change
• Ability to interpret and comment on complex issues clearly and effectively
• Experience of managing staff and external consultants
• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
